This was lots of user commentary and stuff as usual so I tried to cut most of that out. I am not sure about parts but I don't want to go over it again. If another translator is around please feel free to correct or throw in your .5 cents. I just made a summary of the summary really xD

BLEACH283.You don't hurt anymore

So last week Ichigo was injured while protecting Inoue and Nell.
Grimm gives a demonstration by shooting from his elbow and destroying a pillar.
The side of Ichigo’s mask is beginning to crack.
“The mask has reached it’s limit?”
Ichigo corrects the mask with his left hand.
It’s being stubborn and he doesn’t wanna continue til it’s fixed.
So a desperate fight is developing and it’s too much for Orihime to bear.
Last week Ichigo’s eyes changed when he saved Inoue,
they looked sad, strong and gentle, after all it was Ichigo’s eyes.
Nell worries cos Grimm is smacking Ichigo around.
Nell screams: “Do your best Ichigo!!”
Nell urges Inoue to support Ichigo also. Nell is a girl I think,
she is lovely. Since Ichigo believes then they must believe whole heartedly, it’s what Inoue said before.
Nell yells to Inoue who hesitates “ichigo fights for your sake”. She continues to Lecture Inoue saying things like: So then why do you fear Ichigo!! Ichigo is a gentle kind person!
Ichigo is a man and despite that also a shinigami, the mask gives him such a BS power compared to before, Ichigo is in pain however he does this for you so such a power must be used. He is bloodstained for you, Ichigo needs your support!
Inoue’s eyes are watering.
Inoue fixes/attaches ichigos mask (she could just be watching him do it/ or her words just inspire him to be better, take it how u like cos I'm not sure)
She finally screams: Don’t die Kurosaki kun!!!
She has overflowing tears.
Ichigo catches grims attack with his bare hands.
Grimmjow you are a bad person
I thank you very much
It seems I can’t really continue much longer so, Grimm…this is done.

If the spoiler is true it might somewhat move Ichigo in the direction I want. I want him to be able to skip the whole mask thing. As much as the mask can look cool and all at times I find it annoying going on and off as it is now. I'd rather see him "merge" with it. Making a more permanent Vaizard.

When Ichigo's bankai disappeared (very clearly, as we saw it reverting to shikai in a manner nearly identical to when Renji's bankai fell apart) because some summary had said a few days before that "blackness wraps around Ichigo" everyone and their mother said that Ichigo was being surrounded in darkness.

This, however, gives me the impression that he IS pushing energy OUT (a bankai technique! New moves for the win!) not because of the description, but because of his line "I have more to bring out"

I'm just wondering what the point of it was.

Also, interesting to note the failure in speed. We've always seen that Ichigo's bankai speed is rarely up to snuff. If he can't dodge grimmjow anymore, he's deaaaaad.

edit: when ichigos ban kai disappeared it was not similar to when renjis ban kai disappeared.. renjis ban kai disappeared quickly and all the pieces of the ban kai united to the unreleased form. when ichigos ban kai disappeared some black reatsu came down wrapped around his zanpaktou, his ban kai disappeared and the reatsu continiued to wrap around ichigo.. could jist mean that ban kais disappears in different way or it would mean somthing else..

but she could at least create some beat to it (Kuro-saki~ ku-un), say it less dramatic/ annoying/ what you want or change her expression for once.
I expect her to have the same stunned facial expression with wide
opened eyes and crowfeet as for the last.....ehm 3-4 chapters already.
Probably Kubo just copy/ pasted Hime for the last few chapters....:headscratch

I think that's a really interesting point. This could be the start of a new move, although whether he gets control of it next chapter is another matter.

His bankai does seem to be limited, as the first time he used it in battle showed that it broke all his bones in his body.

I hope we get a clearer picture soon but I still believe this will be an interesting chapter.

It was also mentioned on mangahelpers that 'brast' is another word for burst so I'd say that "confirms" some your impression in a way.

Also, in both Ichigo's bankai, and Renji's, both had their bankai turn into reiatsu and seep back into them. I don't see how people think Ichigo's is different o.O.

I think it's obvious it seeps back into them..explained by Byakuya he says IIRC: You're on the verge of death thus your bankai wil revert back to it's original form, giving you the energy to live longer. Something like that.

Nothing new here. The black aura happened before Ichigo got is power up and his mask changed when Ulqui defeated him... but Ichigo was dying at the time. Since he's still alive and kickin' maybe it's a clue that he'll power up again... maybe the red side of his mask will take up one half of his face.

Or maybe the aura is Ulqui coming back... yeah I wish. Get Orihime away from the battle Ulqui!

I wonder if the black aura thingy has something to do with Ulq peircing him in the chest. The blackness appeared right after that, and may have been his bankai dissipating, but could mean something else.

Also, remember a couple chapters back when the blackness enveloped him going into bankai? Has anyone else ever gone bankai without saying "bankai"? Maybe he whispered it to himself. =) But perhaps Ulq released something sealed deep inside of Ichigo with that stab and now its finally coming out? Shirosaki?

What do people expect her to say, "Go Kurosaki-kun, hit him where the sun don't shine!" or something? XD Anyway, it could be a contrast to chapter 282 because in that one she wondered if was really Ichigo when he was fighting Grimm and totally enjoying it. This time she didn't have to wonder anymore because it is him (after their eye contact, seems like he reverted back to his old self) meaning she perhaps didn't feel the arrogant/boastful reiatsu that she felt before. Ichigo did sound like he lost his swagger a bit as Grimm is egging him on.

On that note, I was about to comment that because Ichigo let his protective instinct take over, his mask broke. But at the same time, the black aura surrounding him and engulfing Orihime as well seems like his fighting instinct said, screw the mask I've got something better to show. Absolute pure speculation on my part.

I assume that another possible reason why Ichigo´s mask broke (according to the spoiler) could be that he feels insecure, because as Inoue´s and his eyes met, he looked down as if he were sad (at least that is my impression).
He wants to be accepted by his friends, even if he has a dark side.
Probably he´s discouraged because of Inoue´s look and that is why he loses his hollow powers (because he doesn´t want to show his hollow self in front of Hime/ his friends).
That would also mean that Hime and Ichigo´s lack of confidence
in the end are responsible for him losing the fight....
That´s the way I see it.

mmm..this chapter...it seems like its been the same thing for 3 chapters, except for that big black explosion thing..and that doesn't sound very good cause its obviously = ichigo random powerup time again. Okay people, I just read the spoiler and 6 pages of discussion... Do I look stupid? Because I feel like an idiot. To me the chapter seems: "Ichigo realises who he is becoming in Inoue's eyes. Because of this mask shatters. Ichigo is pwned. Inoue is buried under rubble. 'Kurosaki-kun!' is her scream while falling from the tower. Ichigo sees Inoue getting hurt and snaps. 'Come OUT!' he screams."

Well, we all knew this was coming--Ichigo powers up and it's at the end of the chapter too. I'm glad the mask goes so now we can see some facial expressions.

And next chapter maybe Ishida will catch Orihime--to parallel Renji catching Rukia at the end of SS.

Then pwn xp Hopefully something similar will occur next chapter, with this chapter ending with Ichigo, under emotional stress, gaining something new.

Maybe we will see the true power of Ichigo's Bankai, the black aura could be sealing everyone in a solitary world similar to how the other Captains Bankai's do. I would like to see Ichigo destroy Grimmjow while in normal Bankai mode without his mask, that would be cool. I think the reason Ichigo's mask broke is because of Inoue, she brought out some useless human emotions that must have pissed off Hollow Ichigo.

I wonder if the aura could be similar to when Hollow Ichigo grabbed his sword he had flung into Ichigo's stomach. The black aura that came up the sword and grabbed Hollow Ichigo's hand started turning him into normal Ichigo, meaning he was becoming the horse. Maybe his Bankai can engulf his enemies and control/consume them, that would be awesome.

So Shirosaki finally came out, eh? The expanding black aura is probably just his power-up effect translated into blackness by Ichigo's Bankai. Grimmjow is screwed. The best he can hope for is a repetition of the Byakuya fight, but that is unlikely if only because it would be repetition.

That part of now knowing where Zangetsu was, was a mistranslation. The TRUE line is this:

As for materializing the soulcutter, the doll is only a shortcut. Ichigo did an incomplete materialization when he was struck down by Zaraki (which is why Zaraki couldn't see it). Renji did a full materialization without the doll during his training.
Yoruichi literally stated it as well. Bankai requires materialization of the soulcutter into the real world.

Grimmjow cutting Nell..... Can't say i'm surprised if that happened. I already predicted something would happen to Nell in previous threads. That's because that's the only use i saw for Nell.

Her healing powers are only minimal. And while she was surprisingly useful against Doldoni, she's not that strong that she would be able to play a meaningful role against the stronger opponents. Since her character was tied to ichigo, my only conclusion can be that she's there for the sake of Ichigo's growth. And she can only be a significant factor in one way really. To be heavily injured. Or to die.

If either of the above happened to nell, it would induce murderous feelings in Ichigo. And like i stated before, negative emotions are required to unlock Ichigo's hollow powers and to extend the time limit for his mask. Expect a return of vaizard Ichigo. More menacing, more sinister and more terrifying than ever before.

Well at least we got some plot development, Ichigo's mask broke. I don't have any idea whats going to happen next though... and interruption would make me twitch, I want the Ichigo and Grimmjow rivalry to end. I don't want to see another battle in the future of them. We've already seen Grimmjow's released form and If Ichigo lost I'd be pretty disappointed. The guy lost to Ulqui, thank goodness but I don't want to see him lose to Grimm.

If Ichi can't beat the 6th Espada then I have no idea how he's going to kill Aizen. XD

Couldn't that have happened at the beginning of the chapter, though? The plot is moving slow, and the subtleties (Orihime's reaction, Grimmjow's taunting, Ichigo's struggle to protect versus his will to kill) could have told in fewer panels.

I know what you mean! I'm actually excited for this chapter. Ichigo's really becoming amazing. I hope Orihime ends up cheering him on at some point, that would help Ichigo out a lot. Cheerleaders Orihime and Nell!

A lot of fans are frustrated with Orihime now, but let's keep that opinion to ourselves from now on, folks. There are only so many times one can characterize the poor girl as weak or feminine moosh. And her character can be discussed other places (dern, I want to start another Orihime thread in Gen but they keep getting locked).

I do think that Orihime's subsequent reactions are going to be very important--to her development and to Ichigo's. If she's cheering, then yey--she got over the shock of the scary mask. That cheering could either distract Ichigo from going in for the kill or it could inspire him. If in this chapter she's shown with that morbid look on her face while Nell is cheering, that will be significant.

If the girl Espada team looks horrified at Ichigo's new strength, that will be significant too.

I think that this fight does need onlookers, whereas before I didn't. We need some confirmation of what's happening with Ichigo besides Grimmy's reactions.

So last week Ichigo was injured while protecting Inoue and Nell.
Grimm gives a demonstration by shooting from his elbow and destroying a pillar.
The side of Ichigo’s mask is beginning to crack.
“The mask has reached it’s limit?”
Ichigo corrects the mask with his left hand.
It’s being stubborn and he doesn’t wanna continue til it’s fixed.
So a desperate fight is developing and it’s too much for Orihime to bear.
Last week Ichigo’s eyes changed when he saved Inoue,
they looked sad, strong and gentle, after all it was Ichigo’s eyes.
Nell worries cos Grimm is smacking Ichigo around.
Nell screams: “Do your best Ichigo!!”
Nell urges Inoue to support Ichigo also. Nell is a girl I think,
she is lovely. Since Ichigo believes then they must believe whole heartedly, it’s what Inoue said before.
Nell yells to Inoue who hesitates “ichigo fights for your sake”. She continues to Lecture Inoue saying things like: So then why do you fear Ichigo!! Ichigo is a gentle kind person!
Ichigo is a man and despite that also a shinigami, the mask gives him such a BS power compared to before, Ichigo is in pain however he does this for you so such a power must be used. He is bloodstained for you, Ichigo needs your support!
Inoue’s eyes are watering.
Inoue fixes/attaches ichigos mask (she could just be watching him do it I dunno sorry)
She finally screams: Don’t die Kurosaki kun!!!
She has overflowing tears.
Ichigo catches grims attack with his bare hands.

I'm not entirely sure that's the case though, I think she also afraid for what he has become, as she has that empathy link to him (didn't the last chapter refer to him as "sinister" -correct me if I'm wrong). This is all leading up to what Kubo had in mind for Ichigo ultimately, whether his dark side will dominate him and consume him, forgetting about those he was made to protect. Or will he find a way to balance his two sides. I'm not trying to judge Kubo on his morality, just trying to predict where he might me going. LOL kind of reminds me of this if he does fall to that side

Now Orihime "standing on the sidelines" is what Kubo has intentioned, no matter what some might want her to hypotheticly do. Her observations are being reflected to the audience, as we are made spectators of the fight as well. There are no external suggestions, and I think people are not used to Kubo's presentation of an objective point of view of the fight (no streams of conciousness, only dialgoue, actions and expressions of the characters)

Ichigo looks pretty fine that way. Sort of like (hot) Shirosaki but still himself. His face almost looks kind in that pic.

I'm quite pleased. I didn't want a masked Ichigo throughout the rest of Bleach.
This way, we get some eyebrows for character expressions.

Yeah, it looks like this chapter is the climax of the fight, and by next chapter we'll have a conclusion. It looks like Ichigo really did need be cheered by one of his Nakama, it was like instant reaction... the minute Orihime believed in him he could fight better. I guess Ichigo believes that if no one else can accept his mask, than he can't either.
