I seen a lot of icons used minus borders so decided to make a thread regarding it

Bordering Icons/AV

Remember Borders are your Friend ........

* Black Borders if the Bordering Region uses Light colors

* White Borders if the Bordering Region uses Dark colors

* Thick White Borders if you want get the Photo Effect

* Complimenting Borders

If you want a colored Border as your too cool for black or white .Choose the color which appears most in the Icon . After you chosen the Color

- If its a dark color then use lighter shades of that same color to make a border

- If its a light color then use Darker shades of that same color to make a border

These are not hard and fast rules but most of the times they bring out the best in an Icon . After all design is all about presentation

I kinda disagree with that because some sets look odd with borders tbh especially if the background is consitant.

On BA use 3 px White Borders .

* There is a Good Reason BA's background color is a very light shade

* When you use 2/1 px borders some of it is visually lost in the background

* If you use a 3 px white Border the white border in your Icon is brought out

* This is a variation 3 px border ( 2x White and 1x Black ) To make it even more distinct
