There is a foul presence in the castle. You may already have heard of him, but for those not in the know, I shall explain. "He Who Must Not Be Named" has returned. He has assaulted our students and our staff on numerous occasions and plans to do so in future. So, be on your guard and have your wand at the ready. This... is going to be a great adventure!

I saw the new movie on opening night at 12:01. It's amazing. If you're a "book nazi" like I am, some of the changes will make you a little mad, but the overall feel of the movie is just so cool that hatred is impossible. Well... impossible for everyone and everything other than Umbridge. They manage to make her even more hated than J.K. did. And I have my book on reserve. Sad thing is that I'm going to Otakon, so I won't be able to read it until the following Monday.

Gha after the film and during me and my friend just was like WHY IS THIS DIFFERENT WHATS THIS OMG WHY THEY MISSED THAT OUT. I like the movies though for that reason. The worst bit was the start if you hadn't read the books you would have no clue who Mrs Figg was AT ALL. Gah they need to revise the next one a lot when they film it. It better be good the next one because i think the HBP is my fav out of them all so far.

Yay! I've loved Harry Potter since 2005. I've become obsessed with it... but then my obsession died down once I began watching Bleach. ^^ I am sad that the series is over, but there's always fanfiction! :D

My favorite characters in the HP series are: Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. :)

I haven't finished reading the seventh book (I'm on chapter 29) but I like it so far.

Oh yeah! my HP OTP is Draco/Ginny. :)

Well, I'd rather people not discuss the book just yet, but... that's just my own selfishness because I haven't finished it. Let's just do that then. Talk about the book and the movie, but as far as the book goes, please try to keep all spoilers in spoiler tags. If not... I will have to use the Avada Kadavra on you.

Gah sorry for not replying on here. Will try my best. I have read the book and its ace. If you have read fan fics you may be abit disapointed and if your picky you will not like it but generally i feel its a great book and edning. I won't spoil it for anyone though. Hate spoiling.

I think I already said mine... but Ginny, Draco and Hermione.

I like Ginny because she's really cool... lol. I guess I began to like her in fanon and then when I went back to canon, I began to see her character more and more and it just popped out for me. I thought she was awesome when she did the bat-bogey hex and does not let anyone walk on her. Just because she's a girl doesn't mean she's girly and I love how growing up with her brothers probably made her the way she is. ^^

Draco, I love him. He became my favorite in the movies because Tom Felton was just so hot... then I read the sixth book and I fell in love with his book character. Re-reading the previous books, yeah he's annoying but I just kept getting intrigued about his character and I came to harbor a love for his character. :) Sixth book made me tear up and I was so sad with the outcome and what happened to him in the end. (Still talking about the sixth book) His wand had wavered and yeah... :) Plus! My OTP in DracoGinny so I'm sure that has a BIG thing to do on why I like these two characters too.

Hermione... I love her! Super smart and not girly and helpful. I love her. The brains, everything! I loved how in the fourth book, we actually got to see more into how she felt about a few things and we saw her in a pretty dress! In my opinion, I think Emma Watson is too pretty to play Hermione, but I love Hermione!Emma! :D Now, I just picture Emma as Hermione when I'm reading the books. xD But anyways, I love how Hermione is there for Harry and Ron... but you can see how much her help is to Harry and how much she wants to be able to live and make the magical world a better place for Muggleborns. :D

So yeah... those are mine. There are more reasons why I like them but at the moment I can't really write a lot. ^^

I actually thought the latest movie wasn't half bad. It wasn't the best but I actually enjoyed it. of course since I've read the book it did seem lacking. I also thought during the kiss between Harry and CHo there was a little too much participation on Harry's part cuz in the book he was like too shocked to do asnythiung. But I guess they had to dramatize it for the big screen. Also Sirius' death was way rushed. There wasn't enough mourning over it. It was just like BAM he's dead now on to the next scene!

BUT Go Daniel Radcliffe hotness! (fangirl alert here! lol). xD I think they did make Umbridge quite irritating. It would have been nice to have included a bit more of the teachers hating her so much though. It felt a bit rushed though but for the most part was awesome. And the special effects were f*****g awesome! O_O!!!!

Oh and Bellatrix Black was awesomely played i think. ^^ A bit different than what I was expecting but awesome nonetheless. I was expecting more a classy fdark beauty as opposed to the wild beauty but the actress pulled it off quite well despite not meeting my expectations.

And Luna? OMG adorable! xD *squees*

I think the prophecy was fairly well explained.....just the book does it better.

Now as for my favorite characters:

James: Maybe cuz it's the fanfics I read for Lily/James romance but this characte has grown on me. I love him. ;)

Harry. Okay so maybe a predictable choice but hey he's awesome and I love the things he comes up with to say in retort. xD

Ginny because as StarryInoueSky mentioned she is cool. Also I just for some reason grew attachted to her. I just love her.

And McGonagall. Don't know but this character is just awesome. I love her attitude on things and the way she handles things. And she's so witty and just well idk I like her. Somethinbg about her character.

And Sirius. I've always liked him (ever since we found out he wasn't a bad guy anyways). I was so sad when he died! I was more sad about his death than Dumbledore's to tell the truth. Though Dumbledore's was more shocking to me......


But honestly all the characters are awesome ^.^

I actually loved the fifth movie. It didn't ruin the book like the fourth one did (I mean, what the HELL did they do with Harry's vision? The suspense of the book was that we DIDN'T know that Crouch's son was alive, this way it was revealed practically in the first half-hour).

Well, I went to see it with my sister, and as we were sitting down in the theatre I told her "What will the best part be, in your opinion?" She voted for DA meetings and the Voldemor vs Dumbledore battle, and I simply said "No. It's gonna be Luna."

They didn't disappoint me. Evanna Lynch owns my soul now. She made me like Luna even more than I already do.
Though, her holding Harry's hand will, I'm sure, make the non-book fans have a rather strange strange view on shippings... *cough*

As for my favorite characters... They're constantly changing, though if we don't count book 7 (and I don't, as I'm a part of the "let's pretend Deathly Hallows never happened" club) it's Fred&George, Hermione&Ron, Luna and Voldemort.

Hermione - oh, I love that girl so much. Sure she can be irritating here and there, but overall she's a great character and the book would feel sorta empty without her.
Ron - I could never explain why I like him. Maybe because he plays the "best friend" part so well and doesn't lick Harry's shoes. And his relationship with Hermione is adorable.
Luna - she's the queen of universe, doubtlessly. :D She's too random for life, and I love her for it.
Voldemort - Can't explain it. He's the type of villain that I always liked. You know, those villains that are actually evil.
Fred&George - they must be The Greatest comic relief ever, ever, ever. :love

I never quite learned to like Ginny. Oh, I adored her in book 5, but when book six appeared and JKR started randomly throwing in not-so-subtle "foreshadowing" of Harry/Ginny, I felt sold out. I hate myself for it, but I couldn't help feeling she was there just as Harry's token love interest. Not as much as Cho, obviously, as Ginny actually does something. >__>

I havent read the 7th book, to be honest it was taking me months to even pick it up from the book shelf xD But now I'm continuing to read it, so far it hasnt bored me ^^ (the fact that I didnt finish it still, is of the pairings in the end :p)

:laugh, i finished it in about three days, maybe less, i tend to read books rather quickly at first, and then reread over and over again over time.

I was supposed to make a new thread for this, but I don't have the time. and i really don't know if it still applies, because its been active the past couple of days...anyways if we still do need a thread anyone feel free!
Anywho, yeah I saw the trailer a couple of days ago. And I must say, even though i cannot stand David Yates directing the Potter films, HBP seems to be coming along nicely. Although, I am a little annoyed at the out of canon attack on the Burrow Yates decided to put in :mad: I guess we will just have to wait till July to see if its as good as it looks
