(Don't know if this is the right place to start this thread, so a mod can move this if it's supposed to go elsewhere...)

I'm having a really frustrating problem with being able to play Dattebayo's new .avi Bleach files. I downloaded Videolan's (VLC) latest software version and FFDShow's codecs package, but they STILL won't play normally for me.

I'm, likewise, having a problem with even Flomp-Rumbel's files, in that I can't see the subtitles at all. Their files just look like RAWS played in VLC.

So, I have NO idea what to do now. What's so odd is that both .avi and .mkv files are supposed to be playable in VLC, yet these newer types of .avi and .mkv files are not, at least not for me.

Please, does anyone know what I can do? :( I know Bleach is just showing fillers for the time being, but if I don't fix this problem now, I will still have it when Bleach goes back to manga-derived episodes...

First off, u dont need ANY codecs for VLC, so installing FFDshows codec wont do anything.

What do you mean by new AVI/MKV files....there the same as they've always been i think. I use VLC to watch bleach/naruto and strnagly this new one called denno coil... and they all work fine.
Have u updated VLC recently, it could be a bug thats been fixed already but you havnt updated in a while. Try downloading the newest version http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

If that doesnt work, download divx codecs and try playing it in something like winamp

Vlc is junk, the cccp has a player which is called zoom, and it plays just about anything and everything, it's easy to use and i use it for avi mp4 and everything else!
