if you watch any filler eps, watvh this one. it was pretty amazing to be honest. i hated the fillers recently yet i can admit this one was up to the my standard for a bleach ep. (mainly ep 177)

Nice double episodes, though the animation seems to dip in quality. Looks like that bakkoutou weapons the assassins use have side effects, especially that sowrd-eating guy who is literally eaten up by his weapon in the end. I guess they are some kind of prarasitic spiritual weapons.

Shinigami goldens are real hilarious, more for ep 177. Nice to see Ryuken explaining Sprenger and Isshin poping in, only for Ryuken to shoot arrows at him and claiming his fingers slipped. Lol. Sado appearing in arrancar encyclopedia is kind of weird.

Well if the First dance end up killing any stronger guy later on this filler messed it up.

Though In general I'd say It's pretty nice that the power they get they only get on the cost of there own Souls/lives.
Was getting a little annoyed when That Futurama or whatever he was called broke out of the Ice the second time.
I mean Rukia Actually Owned right there Bind the weapon, Bind the Target and then Freeze em... Kinda >Cool< :P
Well was somewhat acceptable since he got consumed after getting out.
Let's hope we get more fights with Kido spam

i like how this has officially become a bleach episode and futurama movie discussion :D

easily the best episodes of the filler so far and yeah its because of the fighting and not much talking and plot "advancement". That flower dudes shikai really is terrible. Ishida's enemy had fake-Aizen's powers lol. Chad's fight was the best imp. Really hope Kubo puts him to good use in the manga since his powers still leave some un-answered questions.

Hehehehhehhehehehe... Awesome. I'm officially loving the fillers. :D ( yes, I actually said that )

The fights were very fun to watch. I was lovin' the Quincy action and Chad got to flaunt some pretty mad skillz ( 'bout time he got some decent screen time ). :D The only part that really disappointed me for a while was Rukia's fight, although her faithful kidou skills came through in the end. That and poor Kenryuu's lame zanpakutou. ^_^

And we got to see Ryuuken and Isshin! I started cheering aloud when I saw those two. Then a couple of seconds later I was laughing myself silly. :rofl

The Ryuken and Isshin Omake was hysterical! I loved it!
All the fights were awesome. Ishida going kamikaze at the end was especially cool! Chad got decent screentime and a great fight. I was so happy that Rukia got to show off her Kido again.
Orihime, run faster! Chad and Uryu need you, STAT!

Random thoughts:
1. Was I the only one screaming at the screen "Get the girl outta there! NOW!" Why were they standing around watching Rukia fight the freak?

2. Aww, Kenryuu and Enryuu are the poster couple for gay adoption! :)

Very very very very very very good episodes: quality and fights were awesome, Bakkutous powers were really nice, how the guys used them(I was really impressed by the guy with Retsurai against Rukia) and the music was epic (I'm referring about the songs you hear in the end of Rukia's fight and Chad's fight). This Filler Arc really needed awesome fights and we got them, I'm satisfied now.

PS: I loved the Shinigami Cup with Ryuken and Isshin, I laughed so much XD .

This episode answered a few questions, like the fact that both chad and uryuu have their full hm powers, which means we might be seeing the vizard ichigo that trounced grimmjow soon :yay :yay

but i imagine that this display by the substitute shinigami is bound to attract the attention of sereitei, even though i find it sad and disappointing that nothing has happened on their end regarding the weird energies from those bakutou...you know big brother clown face is always watching... so why no reaction from him :cry

Wow, that was pretty awesome, best episode in a long time, better than a lot of the HM eps, the only thing to complain about is how they robbed Rukia of a well deserved win, I mean she used her brain and kidou skills and yet was robbed by the fact they had to show one of these weapons devouring the user, pretty lame in my view, since there aren't many times when our heroes use their brains or use kidou.

I also like the new music which was a plus.

Finally able to watch it..exam week is just hell...

Chad and Ishida's fight was just awesome...another great episode after 166...and I liked the music as everyone mentioned..
The rukia fight was also good...but..the guy got devoured in the end..WTH?? not a good ending for a fight.. but everything about this week's episode is great..

lol at ryuken and Isshin...is this probably a clue that they will appear in the manga soon?? I just hope so..

I hated this episodes and found them boring as hell. I hated seeing Ishida's and Chad's new powers which killed the chance of this arc fighting anywhere canonically. On the plus side, it seems its gonna end quick.

My guess is that that Kumoi guy is gonna seek help from Kifune, and that's how the two stories will overlap.

I think they ended Rukia's fight the way they did, to *attempt* to keep things kinda consistent in the series, in terms of her fights. Look at how she survived Aizen. Look at the way she *survived* against Gimmjow, the second time they met. Look at how she *won* against Aaroniro. The ending to her fight here fits in line.

You're right Vel, but she did win her fight against D-Roy, and it seemed like this guy was either at that level or was just below it, so I still feel like she got the short end of the stick from the writers, I guess it's just the fact that Ishida and Chad are viewed as being stronger so of course they won their fights while Rukia "survives" her fight.

I've just watched the whole episode subbed, it's average for a special i guess, we've seen the pawns going down, now we're having the big fries in plate, i just kind of detest when they start up a last episode minute fight in the end of another episode :-_-, well i understand it's almost a shounen plot rule.

My favourite fight was Chad's, then Ishida and Rukia.

i have to say i dislike this episode only because they have their Hueco Mundo powers. it bugged me when i saw the seele schneider thingies hanging from Ishida's costume the pervious episode, but i didn't want to accept it. right now they just pissed on the entire Hueco Mundo arc. i was thinking it was a back story or something (the only way i accepted fillers at this point). my mistake i guess.

the episode on itself was interesting and entertaining though.

Does anyone agree with me about the gay adoption thing? I LOL'ed when Enryu and Kenryu got "locked in a closet" together a few eps back :D Insinuating anything, anime team?;)

I'm not really looking forward to another rehash of Ichigo's worst memory this week, but next week's ep goes back to the captain plot, and that should be fun (I loved episode 172).

I'm just confused at how the two plots will mesh together. :headscratch

Will Kifune be evil? It's hard to imagine Amagai as evil, but I never would've guessed Aizen had bad intentions, either, back in the day...

Maybe I'm just not as attentive to foreshadowing as I'd like to be. What do you guys think?
