Do you like the dungeon crawling RPGs? Or are you more of the Madden NFL type? There are literally millions of games in this world and we want to know the ones that have made your jaw drop.

I like the Final Fantasy series.
I played FF 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2 and 12.
If I find the time in the coming months I will probably play FF 1-6!^^

I also enjoyed playing Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3. :-)

Kingdom Hearts 3 has already been announced. In fact, if you look on Youtube, you'll find the extended ending to Kingdom Hearts 3. Y'know the Power Ranger Bunny Rabbits? More of them. :p

Yeah, that's the scene I was mentioning, MeiYara. it was my understanding that that clip was meant to be foreshadowing of the contents of the third game. i may be in correct in that, but I'm almost 100% positive that the game itself has been announced.

Yeah, I also think that these scenes are foreshadowing a third KH (I heard rumors about a KH movie....?).
I will try to get new information and hope that Tetsuya Nomura will confirm it someday!^^

Ah well, a remake of FF 7 on PS3 would also be really nice, but these are only speculations and rumors; nothing has been confirmed yet.
But I know that Square Enix is at least considering and thinking about a remake! :-)

(If you consider Genesis in Crisis Core and in the secret ending of
Dirge of Cerberus (played it of course XD), then you could also get the impression
and hope that SE is planning a real main sequel of FF VII!
I would be sooo happy! ^^)

Oh god, I really hope they don't remake FF7 actually. I LOVED the original game. Yes, there wer flaws, but it was still an amazingly fun time. I wouldn't want to play an entire game that looked like Advent Children, though. The movie was beautiful, but... Well, you know what I'd say. I just like to play games in the manner they were originally conceived. The game would lose its nostalgia if they remade it.

FFVII was and is my favourite Final Fantasy game and I played it 4 times
(couldn´t get enough; the battle system, materiae;
the whole atmosphere/story/ mythology and of course the characters;
I love: Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Sephiroth, Zack).

None the less, I´m curious about a remake, but I think I´d prefer a good sequel. :-)

COD2 online i pretty good, though it's probably the most played online FPS atm. I'm a GTA fan, my step brother is like totally addicted to the game, he's front of his computer the all day browing GTA forums and downloading mods =_= scary.

I never played paper and dice games before. But I do like most of the FF series (1, 7, 8, and Tactics are the ones I've played). Fire Emblem is also very good! Star Craft and Diablo owns my soul though. :eek:

For party games I like Mario Kart and Bomberman! I almost always blow myself up though. ^^;

Yea! Stragety RPG's ftw. If you like FFT, you should try Phantom Brave. That's one crazy game. I wish BF was up so I could just get my top games and why from there. That was too much work to write all that out. Here is a shorted version of what I can remember.

10. FFXII - Easy main game. Most difficult extra missions EVER.
9. Smash Bros (N64) - Countless hours playing and smashing faces.
8. Legend of Dragoon - Original combat system. Lots of quests. Fun times.
7. FFIX - Best Skill/Equipment system EVER.
6. Phantom Brave - Biggest overkill factor in any RPG EVER.
5. FFX - This game got everything from previous FF's just right.
4. Star Ocean 2 - Think real time combat, 4 characters per battle, 12 characters possible to get (must play though more then once to get them all), 84 different possible ending, max level 255. Could go on.
3. FFT - Greatest Strategy RPG EVER.
2. Star Ocean 3 - Star Ocean 2, execpt ten times better in every way.
1. FFVII - I don't I need to say much here.

I love most of the Final Fantasy games (4 and 6), the Suikoden, Breath of Fire, Chrono and Seiken Densetsu saga, Star Ocean 2, Xenogears, Terranigma and many other RPGs.
Wow, I'm not picky XD

But FF7 and Suikoden 2 are tied as my favourite games ever.
I love the atmosphere and the casts in both games. The endings are extremely melancholic yet hopeful and the villains were developped since the begining of the games (because I hate games where your main antagonist appears suddenly at the end -_-).

i love a very wide range of games so its hard for me to compare them with each other when theyre completely different XP but still good. i love Civilization II XD it was my first game i could play for hours on end when it came out 10+ years ago. the funny thing is, i still play it today LOL. the gameplay has not died, even after all these years and its outdated graphics XD it has tons of customization options and was a real breakthrough game for its time. its a turn-based strategy world conquest game for those of you who have never played it XP

favorite RPGs are Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss. favorite racing game is NASCAR Thunder 2003 XD and then F-Zero GX. favorite shooter is Halo PC and CE. i dunno why, but i just cant play shooters on consoles. they are so much better on the PC! i also love Pokemon XD and Super Smash Bros Melee, MarioKart64 (its still the best MarioKart) and Super Mario Sunshine.

I'm an RPG girl, but I've only played a couple of them and I love things with good story lines. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will always own a large chunk of my heart, the sequel was okay but nowhere near the same caliber in terms of story. Fable was heaps of fun, I still regret never finishing it though, one day I'll have to buy it cheap and just get it over with. I was addicted to Oblivion for ages, until my character got too good for my computer to handle. Another game I haven't finished. It's on my to do list!

Speaking of Fable, the sequel should be out next year. I'm very very excited.

I'm sort of a mix bag, but majority of the games I usually play are hack n slashers.

Devil May Cry 3 currently being may favorite along with Kingdom Hearts 2 coming in a close 2nd.

I also like Final Fantasy 8.

i also love to be a soldier in the war, mostly when using massive weapons of war.

I'm really oriented to RPG style games too. I'm holic of FF series from the seventh game until the current and really antecipating the compilation coming out for PS3 (perhaps my main reason to purchase one in near future).
Aside consoles, i also play a lot MMORPG on my computer, also switching through games. FPS games catch my attention, but i don't last much time on it.

Best games played until now:

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - i've completed the game over 10 times and never got bored for it's magnifiency.

FF7~8~10 (PS/PS2) - The ones that outstand, epic games.

Super Smash Bros: Melee (GC) - My very first GC game, i didn't played the N64 version but this one was just great at the time released. Also i love all the stars from Nintendo.

I dare to say these were the best games that i can label as epic, of course i have played others that were very good.

not really the fav but in its catagory its was my fav. shadow magic, its a turn based strategy game, really fun 15 races and with several layers of the world, surface, subteraanian, even more sub and finally shadow world which is really cool cuz there is the shadow demon race and they invade from that world. the magic is really fun cuz its can work only if you have sphere of influance in that area and the rules are really intresting.

damn i love the shadow demons.

oh and the races are divided to 5 alighments, good evil neutral and pure good and pure evil. those statues will change your reaction and the reaction of Ai units to your side, a undead lord wont have loyalty in elf cities and will be forced to commit genocide. really nice game.

Hmmm, that's a toughy. There are so many games to chose from I don't know which I would consider my over-all favorite. I'd have to say it's a tie between:

Aaaa so many great games. I am a long time gamer, right back to the days of the Spectrum so I remember older games with a lot of fondness. This could be a long list... :)

Syndicate - I just remember loving this game. Moving around a city, fighting other agents. Bullfrog were the daddies at game making back then!

ChronoTrigger - One of my first and all time favorite RPG's. Loved the story. Still have a saved game on an emulator somewhere on this PC hehe!

Zelda (Snes version) - Awesome...just awesome :)

Secret of Mana - best 3 player fun ever :)

FF7 - The RPG that made RPGS acceptable to all IMO. One of the best stories in a game. Played 90 hours on that game on my first run through and STILL have a saved game ready to go against that damm underwater weapon I could never kill!

Unreal Tournament - This was almost like an addiction to me. Played clan games 2-3 times a night almost every night. Loved it.

COD4 - Amazing!

Honourable mentions - Suikoden, Vandal Hearts. Bioshock (loved this game and the story), WOW (still play here and there), Tiberian Sun aaandddd Golden eye + Mario Kart 64. Best multiplayer fun I have ever had on a console.

From what I've seen of it (which is very little) you play the game through following a storyline that has already been set out. Is there any kind of variation in the plot based on the decisions of the player, as in other RPGs? Also are you able to do things that deviate from the main quest line or is it a direct A to B sequence of events?

Xenosaga III is my all-time favorite, Final Fantasy 8 a close second. Pretty much I enjoy all the Final Fantasies, the Xenosaga series, Kingdom Hearts. I also really loved Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. That game made me lol like no other ever has.
