A character poll starts this issue.

Genkishi lost to Squalo on purpose so that he could help form the Millefiore family. Squalo is no match for him.
Yamamoto has seen Genkishi before from Squalo's DVDs.

Irie finds out about Spanner's betrayal. Ginger Bread is the one who tells him. He says that there's a high chance Spanner is somewhere inside the base together with the Vongola (i.e. Tsuna), and that he's most likely sheltering him.

Genkishi appears to be very powerful. As a handicap, he is fighting without weapons.

Hibari is still engaged in battle. The enemy's captain says they have the advantage. Defeating him (Hibari) is only a matter of time.

but you really can't take anything out of that because Genkishi lost that 1 on purpose, and so that is clearly stating that he never showed his complete fighting ability.

I really doubt Squalo would add a fight in his video unless he considers it worthy... Genkishi MUST have shown some good fight, enough to be considered useful, but bad enough to still lose. Yama could have seen his most basic skills and counter them, just to have his attacks bounced off once Genkishi gets serious.

And that's how the ping-pong everyone talks about begins :3

The tape has nothing to do with squalo showing stuff that is worthy. The tape is just showing his road to becoming the sword emperor and Genkishi was in the path, and it just shows him defeating him. However he lost that fight on purpose, as he states squalo is no match for him.

The ping pong begins with the fact that genkishi is handicapping himself :cookie, with not using his swords and using a field that is suitable for the rain ability.

if they know that current Tsuna, Gokudera and Yamamoto are weak teenagers, would they 'instruct' anything like that happen? i know Varia has its reasons to hate Guardians, but they're clearly Vongola's allies.

Grassy says 'instructions for us HERE (...) WE will raid', which is difficult to say if 'we' means literally 'we who are here' or 'we the Vongola and allies mentioned'. that would make more sense - the massive attac of all Vongola forces left. sending resurected boss for certain death would be pointless, esp. that they, being connected with the Vongola, are also in touble and it's a matter of time till they're found and killed. perhaps they're not there cos the date of the raid was 'in 5 days' and Tsuna had to start it earlier due to Irie's accions.

i still hope Varia, Dino&company, Tsuna's dad and whoever will show up, they're just in the plane to Japan right now, believe that :che
