5th Lieutenant Badge Making Process:

Initially, I had them in three separate pieces and making something to hold the bac to slide the fabric through it, but I fear it might have come off when cosplaying. I cutted out a slightly longer piece of cardboard and shaped the top to mold the flap. This was the short cut to make the badge, and it would stay on the arm and it makes it more sturdy looking. When I went to the convention, some people had problems keeping the badge on the arm. This badge pretty much stuck out like sore thumb. Is pretty close to the manga version IMHO.

Pieces and Thickness of Badge:

Use PVA Glue (School Glue and Water) to glue the three pieces together and Glue Gun to glue the bottom between sliding of the fabric, and the last piece of the badge that sandwiches them in place. This provide sturdiness for the badge and it definitely lasts longer this way.

1) Face piece glue onto the flap
2) Smaller Support goes under it
3) Underneath same as front flap sandwich under it (make sure it's the same size as the top, or it won't fit together.
4) Use the glue gun and glue bottom triangular edge of badge.

Currently took apart the entire sword for redesign:

Still having problems removing the tape that was part of the sword before painting it. Thank goodness I found the colour ribbon for the sword too today.
