NEW:Well it was a pretty good episode we finally got to see Kifune's Shikai in action and its pretty cool, and he's quite powerful aswell making that huge reiatsu blast, and damaging Kiras znpkto. Anyway the ending and the preview confused me some cause that hime-girl(dont fully remember her name) was in the SS so I guess this is before she ran away. But the preview after confused my original though of it being before she ran away because Ichigo and Rukia were there. But I guess I have to wait and see next week or I need to rewatch the last episode.

I have been told Naruto drags on for quite an agonizing period; I stopped following it and stuck with Bleach being more tolerable. Finding a cat by a military or police force is quite common but not always on daily basis list of priority on To Do List.

Even if it is just tht, there must be a link between SS and the real world, i know we hime go back to SS after runing away, and her meeting another hime, but there has to be a strong link between the hime and the new captain, or they wouldnt keep switching between the 2.

Actually it gets more important in second half when fighting the Hollows. Kifune Makoto has more of an important role to play; poor Izuru (hugs him). I remember one the Arrancar Omake where Ichimaru Gin wished Izuru good luck before they began airing the filler episodes that seems to be hinting for the Real Time in Bleach in the future episodes.

The word lieutenant means holding a place or holding a position, which also falls under army, bodyguards, wives... etc that are mainly on the left-hand side. Dogs and cats fall under that category for holding a place until the Captain returns. XDDD

Some of the subtitles were flashing off the screen too fast for me to read them, at least, in the first half. Either that, or I was just too tired during the first half...

This episode truly confused me with the Ohime-sama sneaking out of those gates in the Seireitei. Isn't she in the world of the living, hello? But, I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Renji, finally! All sanguinary with sake...Too cute...;)

Time will tell when it gets the chapters are revealed in the manga; it still won't change the fact about Ichimaru's position and his role in his story and his importance from what Kibune was blabbering about. Mom and Dad knows best 8DDD

Now that I've the episode subbed (thanks by the way), I would say it's better than I thought when I watched the raw although the story doesn't advance much.
I found the fact that the 3rd division had such missions was stupid but Amagai's explanation made sense.
There is one thing which is bothering me though. What were Kifune's true intentions in the pit ? Is he really a bas***d or was he just acting that way to force Kira to react and stop being so passive/submitted ?
Anyway, I no longer like Kifune because the way he acted towards Kira was mean (it's a childish reaction, I know, but no one has the right to act bad toward my favorite lieutenant :mad:)

His chumminess with the division members seem hypocritical. He just wants to get into their good books so more of them will think he is more suited as vice-captain than Kira =_____=

Did you see when Amagai asked Kibune and Kira what's with the tension, Kibune was all smiles and said, "Nothing~" Ugh. Makes me want to throw up.

I think Kibune is a bad guy. Remember the cleaners that were supposed to be shut down when the Third Division was killing Menos in the Dangai?

This episode turned out alright for me. The interactions between Kira and Kibune had me more intersted then I thought they would. Looks like the 2 stories are going to merge about now. Or at least coming close.

After watching this episode and what it meant, it seems that Kibune has that "the strong eat the weak" mentality. I don't know the reason for his behaving like that but I guess it's due to long periods of staying outside SS on patrols.

As mentioned by perfectangle earlier, it looks like Kibune was responsible for the cleaners still operating in the severing world during ep 168. I thought Kira told Kibune to go shut down the cleaners, which he claimed he did. :/ Plus the events in this episode, the rigging of the ground so that Kira and the newbie shinigami fall into the pit with the hollows is suspected to be Kibune's doing. However Amagai doesn't seem to know anything.

I think there is a possibility that Kibune is linked to the anti-Kasumi 0uji clan..I think that is how the 2 stories will merge..

With kibune, i thought his sudden aggression was a means of goading Kira into reaffirming his will, and with his owning of those hollows, he proved what a vice captain should be, another means of forcing Kira to change.

but yeah, i kinda get the negative vibe also...

I was under the impression that the correct translation is Kibune, but DB seems to to think that it's Kifune instead. Can't the correct translation be had by looking at the episode titles?

I wonder if there will be a Kira/Kibune rematch (although we can't really say they fought in this episode) and if Kibune's shikai has another ability. If that's not the case then I think Kira might have the upper hand. Although Kibune's shikai doesn't need to be held, if Kira manages to just hit it a little while avoiding the attacks then Kibune's shikai will eventually be too heavy to move, won't it ?
Anyway, I hope Kira will have his turn to shine because a lot of people seem to underestimate him since he lost against Matsumoto.
