Cowboy Bebop [the manga]

I'm talking about the manga only.

I haven't watched the anime, but I heard raves about it, so I decided to check out the manga, but it's.... uh. While not exactly bad, it's mediocre. The artwork is lousy, the characters rehashed (okay, I'll give that Jet Black is pretty cool, but the rest of the crew?), and the stories disjointed. Not sure if something got added in the anime to make it so awesome, but the manga is strictly sub-par.

Anybody else feel the same?

i like the art in the manga a little, but it isn't nearly as good as the anime's art

the manga isn't the same plot/stories as the anime, so i have mixed opinions

the manga is just a collection of short stories, whereas the anime has a plot

Don't judge the anime based on the manga at all:D

I woul recommand you to watch the Anime, I know, this thread is for the Manga only, but the biggest point the manga imo is missing is the tremendously well written soundtrack, as well a good AW, cause the AW is really bad, especially when compared to the AW of the anime.
This is one of the few Manga, which is really worse than the anime, another excample would be Ghost in the Shell where the Manga is also inferior to the Anime/Movie.
So please watch the Anime, I highly recommend to do that, cause the Anime is really a masterpiece!
