Is it only me that find its kind of Ironic that a kid name Yui was put in the fillers considering that Yui is the only musician that has more than 1 song for bleach? The ending Life and the Openning Rolling star. Maybe its just me or maybe they liked her songs enough the anaimators to make her into a characther xD

She's nice and all and her openings are okay, but I think they all could do a bit better with the opening and ending choices.

Could be coincidence and an insider gag, though Yui is a rather common name in Japan.

Loved her in 'Taiyou no Uta'.

Yeah! I loved her in that movie too. :) Her voice is so nice too and she's such an awesome musician and person.

I was actually thinking this exact same thing while watching the episodes. If it was because of the singer or not, I don't think we will ever really know. But it seems likely to me. They have to name the characters something, so why not!

Uverworld actually has more than 1 song for Bleach, but one, d-technolife, is for anime and the other, Chance, is in one of the games (or game promo, I don't remember).

Yui is awesome. Love all her Bleach songs (and all her non-Bleach songs that I've heard).

Its a dedication to Yui (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yui_(singer)) (click) the singer most likely . Yui is huge in Japan like Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette were in there hey day

Either its a random coincidence or Yui the singer thats what I can say . But to me feels like Yui as she was the first singer to be featured in a OP and ED^^

Probably not THE first.

And besides, like Gintoki said, Yui is a fairly common name. But eh. I'm not sure how it's ironic at all...

She is the first to have an OP and ED for the anime of Bleach shes not the first to feature in more than one anime with a op or ending song i am on about specifically for bleach. I guess its just coincidence to be quiet honest as Yui is a popular name. Though it would be cute if they did dedicate it to Yui the singer afterall.
