Yea, it's Shinji's early design. Like the 3 main characters, his look has changed a lot. Stuff like this just shows that most of this story is thought out from the start and very few things are actually random.

As a random recent example, when Kubo has finished the design of Hisagi he had to also have the name and probably some kind of basic idea of what Kensei was going to be in the story. That's some crazy future planing right thar. I'm sure there is and will be many more examples.

This is EXACTLY what I try and point out everytime there is an uproar that Kubo takes things one week at a time. Just wait 180 chapters and it will all make sense :D


My question is, who is on the far left o.o? Only person it even looks remotely like is Wonderweiss but that's only if you chalk it up to being an early design. I still think it might be too feminine for him though.
