Kubo Sensei focuses a lot on Ichigo but what about the other two Shinigami/Quincy hybrids? So lets use this thread to discuss the possibilities of these girls powers! Post away!
On a side note" Both have been attacked by hollow so i think its safe to say they have hollow power residing within them , so i think its safe to say that their kids will have FB!

A polite no to the question on the poll.
We are way too far in the story with so many revelations & flashbacks & abilities due that I see no way for Kubo to develop Yuzu/Karin into any shape of dominant power. (especially given Kubo's pace in his story telling; him developing Yuzu/Karin would take more time and honestly would be unnecessary; also, Isshin doesn't look like the type that would let his girls into battles; way too overprotective)

I think it would be pretty interesting.
Karin seems to be more like her father (in appearances) and such. I don't think she would be so much a hybrid, but a pure Shinigami.
Yuzu seems to be more like her mother (again, in appearances). I think she would be more pure Quincy.
Ichigo was the hybrid of the three.
It makes sense, 2 races/factions, 3 children. One becomes the hybrid, while the other two inherit a single trait from one of their parents.
I would like to see what happens.

Unlikely. At most, I see the twins growing up into another Tatsuki - high spiritual awareness for humans, but still on a lower scale compared to shinigami.
But yes, it would be very interesting to see them with powers. :p

Yes, I do hope Kubo will develop them at some point ven though I think Karin is more likely to develop her powser or get an easier "hang of it".

I don't think it's too far in at all.
They were 12. Ichigo was like... what 15 when he first got his powers? And just like him, Karin has been spiritually aware just as long.
So it'd be totally okay if it were a side-plot for them (or at least Karin) to develop their/her spiritual powers. Just because they have powers, doesn't mean they have to join the battle. Curiosity and the motivation to protect/get stronger is just enough reason for them to train. They want to be like their big brother after all!
As for thinking it's irrelevant to the plot? Not necessarily, they are the children of a Shinigami and a Quincy.
Not just Ichigo! -gasp-
The difference is that they are younger, are girls, and might have inherited different powers from their parents. Like the above posters are saying, one could be hybrid, the other leaning more into Shinigami, and... Quincy...? (I don't know about Yuzu)

I voted No, with the level of enemies currently being faced, I don't think thier powers would bring anything meaningful to the plot.
It is an interesting consideration and basis for speculation as to the nature of thier abilities, but I don't feel it is necessary.

I think they will develop them but we won't see the exact process. Maybe like an extra during some crisis with the world of the living being filled with Hollows and Karin (or even Yuzu..you never know) help the Karakura Raizer fight them LOL.

This is probably a question better posed in the anime section, as if Yuzu and Karin do anything these days it'll mostly be in anime filler.

Come on, they introduced characters weak enough to replace Zennousuke with those two, I think their names were Yuki and Shino, at the beginning of the arc.

The anime is dead at the moment, and even if/when it comes back I don't think there'll be filler since it will likely be just for the last arc.

I'd like to see Karin begin to develop as a Quincy. Not the crazy hybrid Ichigo is but just a classic Quincy like her mother. Yuzu I kinda like as is, with vague hi-spec ability.

Kubo could have done something with Karin, but no.

The only way i see them developing powers than could compete in todays bleach is if kubo decides to do a BLEACH 2....... meaning for example after ichigo's becomes the vessel of the spirit king at the end........ This is the time yuzu and karin awakens their powers....... and ichigo watches over them, SS, HM,RW etc.... but who knows its still kubo's manga he may decide to extend this arc further if he wishes to answer all the remaining questions

Karin is already developing her powers, as she's made contact with Urahara.

Would i like to see them develop powers? YES.
Will they? probably not.
At the very least i would like to see Karin develop powers, its been foreshadowed by her seeing ghosts and hollows and she's been shown talking to Urahara so if SHE at least doesn't develop some kind of power i would feel it would be a waste of foreshadowing and what would be the point of it? It would turn all those panels of foreshadowing into just useless panels to pad out those chapters.
I actually feel that if Ichigo goes to Urahara's shop during this time that he's in Karakura.. that Karin MIGHT be there and surprise Ichigo with her own abilities that she's been working on with Urahara and Isshin.. and she could POSSIBLY even be training with Grimmjow.. maybe a little sparring in the training area and Ichigo walks in to see Karin with her own abilities fighting Grimmjow? Now that would be neat to see.. but that probably wont happen.. =( but in my opinion one thing is for sure..
I wouldnt be surprised if Karin is actually the one to fight Bambietta with her abilities.. they do look around the same age.. and do you really think Kubo would draw a grown man hurting a little girl (thats human.. Momo doesnt count) in this manga? It fits perfectly.
*has Momo flashbacks*
Oh my god.. poor Momo.. ='(

Well the only reason i think they have a chance to awaken their powers is for juhabach to kidnap them both..... brainwash them and forcefully awaken their potential...... it could happen you know... they could be her granddaughters

While I would like to see more Karin and Yuzu in the story, I feel it's too far into the manga. I think we will see some development with Karin and her Shinigami powers but not enough to become an important part of the story. As for Yuzu I really don't think we'll see her develop any real powers at all. Although I could be wrong, who knows she could have stronger Quincy powers that will start to show in this arc. I just think if they do have any development it's going to be pretty minor.

the last time we saw Karin she did seem to be at a spiritual awareness level that mimicked Ichigo at the start of the series, and with her heading off to Urahara's means that she could possibly have something already. And it did seem that Yuzu had improved a bit from before the time skip...
But honestly neither Yuzu or Karin are anywhere near a level of power that could actually make a difference at all, and the time it would take to actually get them to a level where they could do something could seem like a waste of time in the long run.
And also...yeah, Ichigo and Isshin would likely rather fight the forces of hell before letting those two on a battlefield.

That would be very wishful thinking, and...

...kind of answered yourself there.
Even if Grimmjow is brought back for some reason, I very much doubt he'd consent to being used as a simple sparring partner for a little girl. The power gap there's ridicuolous and it'd be pretty out-of-character.
At this stage in the manga, even 'main' characters like Uryu, Chad and Orihime are falling way behind on the power level curve compared to Ichigo. The chance of his sisters getting to do anything worthwhile seems remote at best.

Again.
Just because Kubo would like to develop their powers, DOESN'T mean they have to participate in the war.
What does 'power' mean to the Kurosaki family? The ability to protect. That could be protecting their little home/Karakura town from little Hollows or destruction... etc. Gaining powers isn't going to drag them into the war. They have proven to be unimportant to Aizen (or else he wouldn't paid attention to them before) nor would they be a threat considering their experience and age (they are still younger than Ichigo was when he first gained his powers).
You're probably thinking, "well you just said Aizen doesn't need them". Just because they aren't needed, doesn't mean their heritage shouldn't correlate with the storyline. Realistically, they should have been affected just as much as Orihime and Chad have been, but I assume it's their young age and lack of will to get stronger that hinders them (that's why Karin is further up in power level because she's more aware of the dangers and wants to get stronger; it's part of her personality).
I know you're all 'ewwww side-plot; more time wasted' and I can't help but agree. Still though, realistically...

Actually, I don't think we will see Karin's and Yuzu's powers' developpment at all. Tite-sensei intends to show us Karin feels things and sees them but Yuzu is less receptive than her sister. Karin is already in the way to get some power but I don't think I would like to see her getting more and more. I think I am fine with that.
But we can imagine in the future Karin will awake her powers and I bet Yuzu will get some power as well, the two sisters will evolve but it will be hypothetical. I don't think they will reach Ichigo's level a day and creating for them some powers right now would be useless. Quincies here are very powerful and Juha Bach stopped Ichigo's attack.
I don't think it would be good for them to fight right now, they would be killed on spot without being given the occasion to raise a finger. They would be complete beginners and they would be even powerless than Ichigo's friends. And once again it would be a complete waste but I love thinking in the future, after Bleach's very end, they will learn.
It's just a quesition of time as some people stated, they have their whole life to be taught by Kisuke or their father. But I don't expect some Quincies to teach them some moves or gestures, they are a Shinigami's children after all. :s

Of course its very wishful thinking and like i said they probably wont develop anything, but i dont think it would be absurd to think they will. The only one i think that would develop any kind of power out of the two would obviously be Karin because Yuzu is too clueless to really know about anything that's going on but Karin is a different story. All that foreshadowing of her hanging around Urahara's shop and how she said to Urahara that it was her turn to protect Ichigo.. it would be completely pointless if she doesnt develop anything.
And i agree that it would be out of character for Grimmjow to do a little sparring match with someone like Karin but wouldnt it be out of character if Grimmjow became friends with Ichigo like Kubo hinted at? And of course Grimmjow would whipe the floor with her but who said it would be a full out match? Just something to see how powerful she's become from the training from Urahara ya know? Of course the chance of all this happening is almost 0% but i think it would be a funny and unique way to re-introduce Grimmjow into the story.. just imagine Ichigo walking in on Karin and Grimmjow fighting.. and Ichigo being shocked at the fact that Karin has shinigami powers AND is fighting Grimmjow haha it would be sweeeet IMO.
Most people think Karin wont develop any significant power simply because she's too young. I mean a little girl developing enough power to take on a low-tier Stern Ritter just sounds ridiculous right? Just like how a low-tier little girl Stern Ritter could be able to handle a Captain level shinigami thats had hundreds of more years of training and experience than her... it's just illogical.. that would never happen.. oh wait.. it did.
I'm not saying Karin getting powers would put her on the front lines of the war or give her the ability to take on someone like As Nodt.. but Bambietta? Hell yea. Do you really think that Bambietta would be drastically stronger then Karin if Karin HAS been training for awhile with Urahara whose a genius? And dont forget she's the sister of Ichigo the most hax person in the whole bleach universe so she's gotta have tons of hidden potential and spiritual energy. You could say Bambietta has had more training.. but fighting experience? I dont think so.. i HIGHLY doubt she's fought a hollow or a shinigami who was above fodder level or who was on the same level as Komamura before the Stern Ritter attacked SS.. because i would think if there was a little girl Quincy running around fighting Captain level shinigami or Espada level hollows people would notice the Quincy were back before this arc.
All i want is Karin vs Bambietta! Do it Kubo!

Sounds like a good fanfiction starter at least? XD
Well it's not out of character for Grimmjow to join forces with Ichigo and Co. because Grimmjow is the type that does whatever he needs to do to survive (and does whatever he likes - like getting a fair battle from Ichigo). And he has this honor code going on (true to his word kind-of-guy)...
So if it's Grimmjow in the tent, it's safe to assume that he's with them for an unknown benefit. Referring to Kisuke's "deal".
Anyway, on topic:
I'm still pretty set on the idea that, yes, Karin and Yuzu will tap into their powers (albeit at a low level) BUT won't be involved directly in the war. There are definitely other duties they can participate in to support them though~
But that's another side-story for a much later time... maybe.

I do think Karin is going to play some role in the story coming up. How powerful she will be I can't say. But I do think she will be pretty strong nonetheless, she is Ichigo's sister after all (that is assuming they are blood related; recent developements have me questioning this).

I answered to far into the Manga to focus on the twin's abilities. However, Karin does own some Shinigami power; and I would agree that her sister will be more like her mother. If they do decide to address this, more than likely it would be towards the finale of Bleach.

I would love it in a post Bleach manga focused on Karin. Seeing implications with her and Toshiro being that she is the daughter of his ex-Captain. There are plenty of possibilities here but they would distract from the arc. So yes it could be a new Manga for him to work on mostly for fan fun.

I wonder, if the powers of fullbring are passed down only to the first immidiate child (ichigo) or are the remanents of hollow reitsu passed on to every child the mother how was infected with them has. I.e. Karin and Yuzu.
No ones pointed this out but if Kubo made another Bleach manga focusing on the girls hes probably give them huge boobs...

No, because they really haven't been relevant to the plot thus far. However, I know Kubo loves the damsel in distress and we have run out of women close to Ichigo... Since we know Bach wanted to recruit Ichigo but failed, perhaps he will target one of his sisters instead?

Good point. No one else has targeted them specifically yet and it's not like they are completely human without spiritual awareness.

maybe this twin are Gemischts? most likely they are potential quincy rather than that of a shinigami.. I dunno which blood is more dominant..maybe two of the kurosaki siblings are more shinigami like and the other one more quincy like. Who came first between the two: Yuzu or Karin? maybe the older one is more quincy like and the younger shinigami like. Kind of the opposite isn't it? Others are expecting Karin to be the next after her brother, a shinigami.
