4-player Bleach fighting game for the PS2. The 1st game was decent; this one looks to build on the last one and seems to improve on all aspects.

5 confirmed characters so far. Though the site layout suggests there could be around 36.

I'm already waiting for this release. I've played the 1st one over and over. It was a real fun to play, especially with 4 players.

However i hope the 2nd part will make some things better like:

- Enable Mirror Matches
- More Balance (Chad in BB was too broken)
- Combos (only square, grab and guard breaker was a bit tiny)
- More Charas (but from what i've seen they already confirmed some new ones)
- Settle the Fights less on Timing (in the first game, it was all about jab or grab)

So overall i'm really looking forward for this game, and i hope it even becomes competetive like the Narutimate Series for the PS2

It's still the most owned console in Japan. The 1st part was succesfull, and it's easier to make a game with the same engine.

Next game looks to be better, atleast the spc moves have becomn more unique(unless this is the L1+R1)

Hmm... Didn't feel Chad was that broken in BBB, Aizen was the broken one if you ask me, but hey he was fun to play :D

If this progress continiues and add better graphic i might buy the third game for more then beeing bleach related^^

Sidenote about the broken Part: Aizen had strong attacks and combos, but if you messed up one attack you were caught in the back and the most of his strings were unsafe. Chad on the other hand had an "imbalanced" reiatsu grow, that's why he had almost everytime his "R2 BOMB Cancel" ready. Having a "nearly infinite" and easy ougi setup sums just up.

B2T: I don't care for the graphics, as long as it's at my minimum requirements, and the BBB graphics were just fine.

Anyone who's really studied the first game knows how broken Chad was. He can juggle you almost forever, fill his reiatsu meter in one combo, then hit you with an ougi.

Gintoki is right about Aizen. He had high damage potential, but his moves were largely unsafe.

Yes they are. The first time it was announced there were only 4 characters, now we have 5. I guess there will be another update the next few days.

I've just seen in some pics, there are also scenes of Grimmjow and Hiyori in the game. If they import all old characters, we have 13 slots for new ones. So we have seen Shinji, Hiyori, Yammy, Ulquiorra and Grimmjowalready , so there are 8 new remaining. Maybe we get some HM chars :P

this game looks so cool. ppl said its like the ds game, which i hear is the best bleach game. so technically this game should be the best by time it comes out.

rom what little ive seen so far, it seems the best to me anyway. bankai transformation are so easy to do now, plus i think this is the only game where you can actually transform into your bankai permenantly.

the speicals all look great, i guess everyone has just one speical, but a transformed character has 2. i think ichigo's econd speical is his hollow transformation which is awsome too.

the only thing i dont like what ive seen so far is that chad and inoue's clothes weren't even changed, which dont make sense, i love chads new clothes, it should be in.

i dont think the game will have much spoilers so it may only go upto the chapter where aizen has that tea party...so you can judge the characters from that.

i think the remaing 8 characters could probably be loads of ppl. i hope some of these are htem though - nell, yamuchiki, yamamoto, shunsui, ukitake, luppi, ryuuken, isshin, or even wonderwice. ok i dont exactly want all these guys, but they make sense to be in i guess.

Hmm... even though it might not be too likely, for some reason I really hope that Noitora is playable. Maybe it's just because I want to swing that huge zanpakutou around. :D As for other new characters, I'm thinking that Lisa and Kensei have a good chance of being added since they were also in HtS4.

the movie just says bleach game is coming out. it also shows aizens new white clothes which is great, cos you can tell how far in the manga the game goes upto now.

anyway thee website updated with stuff about voice actors...plus it has a major spoiler. it reveals ulquiorraa's number and full name if you click on his voice actor.

omg thanks. now the greatest character is in, IKKAKU (with bankai).
luppi actually does look pretty cool too. plus he will probably be the only releasable arrancar i guess.

the 2 new stages, zangetsu world and the place renji x byakuya happened look very cool too.

Ikkaku's Bankai looks good in 1 picture, but alittle plain in the other mainly dur to the random bg(just like in the old game with sp attacks)

The new maps are looking awesome, 1 with lots of stuff to destroy and send down upon your opponent, the other fighting upside down or side ways XD

wow i just noticed that aftter ikkaku does bankai, he has an extra bar above his health, probably to represent that dragon on one of his axes. i guess it fills up the more you attack, and maybe you get stronger and stronger as it fills up.

This game is looking way better than the first already. Now it would be perfect if only you could allow mirror matches. Which unfortunately I don't see happening based on some of the vids.

What's an all out Bankai Battle. Not all characters do have Bankai. They showed the PowerUps in the vids, cause they were the biggest innovation. Other than that i don't think there will be much a difference from the prequel.

anyway im kinda dissapointed with the characters shown. i do like a game with llots of vice captains and stuff, butsome arn't that important. i like that kira is in it though. plus it showed ishida in one of the vids...a major ley down cos hes the same. atleast chad updated. anyway what i said, this game does actually looks very improved. it will still be great.

shuhei and yachiru have not done anything, and yet they're in the game. yama, shusui and ukitake could easily just use their fire, wind and water/lightning moves that they have in every other bleach game.

The question is not "if" they'll add some chars, but "which" chars. So far we have 3 more slots for new chars. I'm hoping for either Yama/Ukitake/Shunsui or atleast some Arrancars (Shawlong and Crew). What i don't want to be in are more Vice-Captains and Vizards. Really, who wants to play the Moustache King VC of Squad 1 or Mr. Chipsface with 500 pounds from Squad 2?

Not a bad update. Ishida's bow is in, though only in Power Up Mode, Urahara seems to rock asses, and the rest is nothing special. But why did Soi Fon get a Cyclone??? Oh and there was Hollow Ichigo in one of the Battles.

Aizen and Hollow Ichigo for sure as they are seen in the videos. Gin and Tousen also i am 99.9 percent certain will be added too because then we have all the characters from last game.

That leaves 3 more slots for new characters. I would hope for Shunsui, Ukitake and Yamamoto here as they have yet to be in a bleach ps2 game.

They could add some of the arrancars that came with Grimmjow but they didnt feature that much so...

Yeah the first one wasn't that challenging against the comp, even on Taichou mode, but that's why my brother had to get beaten haha.

Now, I really can't wait till it comes out. I was worried since I thought they'd add 3 fuku-taichous in the last 3 slots, but they realized what the world needs. Now i already have my 3 mains (even before knowing the chars, lol). Gin, Yoruichi (if they are still as good as they were in prt.1) and Ukitake^^. I'd also pick Chado but I guess even the developers must have seen that he was broken.

ginloks basic but good, and the outfits cool.
tousen loks cool and his bankai is different cos the whole screen goes dark wen he goes bankai so its harder to notice him maybe wen he's invisible.
aizen looks cool and he ds the whole 'the whole fight was just an illusion' thing so the wholescreen cacks and everyones dead lol.

i love shirosaki more now, hisbankai is white and his shikai sword is inverted ichigo's too btw. his bankai attacks should have been white thuogh, but its ok.

last site update shouuld be next thursday i guess. it wnt be a character update obviously...

Gin: Looks pretty good. Kept his strength from part1 and gained a nice Transformation.

Tousen: His Bankai is practically the same as in part 1 only with a decoration in the background and a laser special. I guess he'll be once more only a counter character for some chars, nothing more.

Aizen: Looks like his Raikou range has been increased but the duration decreased. That's imba, now you have an even less chance to counter him.

H. Ichigo: Looks better than in BBB1. Has everything from part1 plus the spin move which rocks.

Yeah, you have to reach the other characters and defeat them /or do their quest. That works for 35 out of 36 characters. Hollow Ichigo is a bit harder to get ;)

What i said is that the fights have different "missions" simple ones, such as ending a fight with full life or full reiatsu, or difficult ones like defeating enemies in a certain order or finish the fight with a car explotion :P

Ahh that. Yeah that's a bit hard to understand if you don't know japanese. I got through without, but you should wait for a translated guide. Though the only relevance of the missions is to get Hollow Ichigo.

Hollow Ichigo didn't change that much. They changed his Bankai color to white but his moveset is the same as in BBB1. And the story mode is rather boring than interesting.

i got all characters except yamamoto, aizen, tousen, ichimaru, luppi and hollow ichigo now.

i really like battlers mode btw. it starts off like lots of squares, themore battles you have the more squares appear (maybe like dugeon dice monsters?). anyway the squars also serve like bridges to next parts further into the game.
the first section is earth, then through the spirit gate to goto dangai, then your in soul society. soul society is looong. similar to the fact that its really long in the manga too. then you go through dangai to go back to earth again. where you goto where urahra takes yu to huenco mundo. i dnt no the rest exactly yet, when i'm there i will.

i finally caught up with 20th century (i no we are 21st though) so i can try to film what i'm doing,or fights etc later.

@gintoki:i didn't expect ogihci to change much. but i'm loving that his bankai looks good atleast. btw do u no what everything in the urahara shop is? like videos etc...

btw i think the best character is hitsuguya and the best support character is ishida.

hisuguya can freeze every1 and can fly. ishida is always attacking long range so he's hard to fight too.

Hitsugaya got a freaking power boost since last game- his bankai not only allows him to fly, but his 3 bar special freezes you for more than 20 seconds (where they can still hurt you)- Now he really is worth captain status
but in my opinion, the one who got pumped the most is soifon...
now she's WAY TOO cheap .)

But a question: Did someone find a way to avoid Aizen's circle special in his super form?
He hits everyone on the map regardless what they are doing and drains 1/2 of the health bar. THAT is broken.

@tari: Ishida is map dependant. One a huge map he is OK, but we got many small maps where he doesn't stand a chance vs any other char.

OK, there's really no way to block Aizen's Special. That's kinda ridiculous and cheap. I mean where's the point in hitting one button and everyone else on the screen watches the flowers from the bottom. That alone would be strong, but Aizen is even without this one of the stronger chars. That sucks, why did they implement such a feature? Only because he's the mastermind in the manga? Ach, go home...

Hmm I guess it's still too early to say who's top tier, since the Gameplay changed completely from BBB1. It's nearly all about "fighting" in normal mode and "Escaping and hunting" in the super mode which somehow annoys me, cause I liked the old Ougi mode and the transformations happen too often now. They shouldn't have split the Reiatsu bar in two separate bars...

There are some chars who rock in normal mode like Aizen (he owns everywhere), Yoruichi and Gin, and those who have their strenghts in the supreme mode (Hitsu, Hiyori and Yamamoto). In the end the good mixture of both will be dependant. Byakuya for example is pretty good in both categories. You aren't doing anything wrong with picking him.

Yess, there are quite a few new places, including a Hueco Mundo stage where the sandpits drown you .p

About some characters completely rulling in one mode but sucking at the other, you can obviously add Konzilla to the list--- It's humilliating to lose to Kon...

I personally think it depends on how you see the game. The transformation bar being in a different bar than the special bar is a great gameplay element, since it allows for moves of superior strenght when both are combined. By the way, the possibilty of skiping transformation scenes is just a big "THANK YOU" for the producers.

Gintoki, for the fighting and "running and chasing" critics, I think it depends on your playing style. Though not wanting to fight in a fighting game sounds kinda ... but also, you cannot run away from certain specials. I.E: Ishida and Ichigos (Even if you run away, the blurry ichigos can still throw you away) while with others it's almost the same to fight them head on, so that they cannot use the new and improved special moves. Though there are also some transformations from wich you better run (I.E: Ikkaku, Mayuri---, UGHH, how I hate that maggot)

In the whole, I think this game forces you to think a little better your strategy. Some characters work definitely better against others, there is little Ishida can do (despite not being able to do much against many XD) against Urahara and his Benihime shield-

This game is really ridiculously imbalanced and the gamemode is just annoying. The biggest mistake was to split the reiatsu bar in two separate bars and the fact that your bars stay filled even when you die. Reiatsu Managamenet? It's fucking not present anymore.

Fact #1 The ougi mode from BBB1, even if you couldn't cancel the animation by pressing start, wasn't that annoying and required even a bit of skill to combine into an ougi.

Fact #2 A Power UP Bar that is ONLY used for powerups, I mean what's the Idea? That's the lamest part of the game. Someone activates his Super form and hunts the other one, while he is running away because you don't stand a chance against him. And those forms last so long...

Fact #3 Ok, if you thought Chad was broken in BBB1, you can be relieved, because that's nothing compared to the brokeness of some chars here i.E Aizen's "I win button" or the abusive Suzumebachi.

Fact #4 The shunpo system. It's not a catastrophe as asumed but it didn't contribute anything either.

That points let me assume they didn't have any testplayers, I can't explain it otherways. This game is pure fun and Fanservice but nothing more. Part1 made the first steps to be professional but they turned around for 180°. If only BBB1 had the chars from this one...

Yeah Space, I have a chip in my PS2 so I can play/watch every Import game/movie on it. It was definitely worth it since the Blade Battlers 1&2 are the best Bleach games out. And yeah that are the pics from the story mode. There are some funny omakes with Radio Kon where he makes joke of some chars.

There are a lot of fights posted on Youtube right now. My favorite has to be Konzilla laser-beaming everyone and doing an ass-squish on Grimmjow. After that it has to be the 4 battle with Shirosaki, Byakuya, Kon and Shinji. Byakuya with his Eternal Sailormoon wings just KILLS.

swapmagic doesn't ruin ur ps2. goto swapmagic3.com i think to look up info on it...and just goto ebay to look for it to buy.

basically al you do is put in the swap disk...take it out using a slide tool, not pressing eject...put in the copied/omport game and press load...and its done. no chipping or wateva.

if you have slim lin ps2 its even easier...just open the cover and swap the discs.

Dunno much about Swapmagic and co. because I choose the ModChip. No CD changing or slide tool use. Just put the the CD like every other CD. I paid 50 € for the chip and it was definitely worth it.

Btw. My BBB2 Progress in Battlers Mode: 95% and about 300 crowns

ok its great u have a mod chip if it works for you...but u do no about the risks surely so i wouldn't recomend others to get a mod chip, i'd say the same even if i had one honestly.

besides mod chip you do need to open up the ps2 etc...
swap magic has none of that warranty seal breaking so yeah, its safe and its £20 which may be like $40, i dunno about america etc so just look on ebay for prices.

i need to play bbb2 again i guess, i stopped after i got aizen. i'll play more. i wanna get ogihci anyway.

Btw, I've read in some places that if you get all the crowns you get infinite reiatsu or sword energy in vs as well as some nifty disguises (mASks for everyone :P)

But I really doubt trying to guess what the missions are about in 200 stages is really worth it--- until a guide appears, I'll settle with 240 crowns

Oh, yeah... remember that battle- the secret is... DON'T LET YAMMY MOVE!!

He is really slow, so it's not really that difficult. Trust me, I almost never use Chad and I beat him in my second or third try.

how to let yami don't move ? i tryed the ^ button attack and i spamed it i almost killed him many times with that ,but nearly at the end he just release his form and those meteors kills chad

just bounce him around bia combos.
When he falls down, use jump+triangle.

and to waste his release, just let him almost dead and make some distance. At the exact moment he releases, rush in and take down his last hit of life. He will rise again with 0 bar and no release at all.
