Has anyone seen the movie with Jackie Chan and Jet Li being in bed embedded on screen with each other yet? What are your thoughts on the movie and discovering the adventure of the Monkey King and Journey to the West?

I haven't seen the movie yet; seeing tonight!

The movie was good in spite of the fact that it was rather predictable. Great fight scenes and they even did a decent job (for a movie) of following the original chinese legend of the monkey king.

Back from the movie theaters...

The movie was decent (so-so, mama) for an average Hong Kong Flick and average stereotype movie. Mainly just to see these two battle each other out on wide screen. Though the costumes and equipment were great to marvel at; the plot was horribly done due the fact with mish-mesh with the kungfu and not the main focus of the story.

One of the other Hong Kong Movies reference called The Bride with White Hair.

In other Hong Kong Film; they do their own thing. This is probably the first time they are ever on film together. Jackie Chan being a professional self-stunt actor and Jet Li pretty much made onto screen himself after winning martial arts championships at a young age. If they ever do more films like this, they would even break the box office ratings through the roof.

well i was asking if they a lot vs one another in that specific movie. I've watched pretty all their respective movies and have been waiting a long time to see them ditching it out in the same movie!

No... Both actors did their own thing in the past. There was no other verses movie from them. This is the only time they have been sandwiched on screen. They already hit #1 on the Box Office records recently; anymore or other movies from these two should be interesting and killing the movie critiques at the same time. There is hope for the future, since now they are known as The J & J Project.

This movie was good. But I was disappointed. As a Martial arts freak ( I take kung fu) especially a big fan of shaw brothers production. The flying and Magic was a real turn-off. For a fan of like Jason was. He would be just as upset. It was funny and I have been a longtime fan of Jackie Chan and Jet-li

Fist of legend is my favorite Jet-li movie becasue it's the only one that doesn't have special effects.
Jackie Chan- Snake and Crane arts...

But it's a great experience and joy to have them together. So go see it.

yes i know this if the first time they are in the same movie, that's why i'm so excited. i'm asking how many times jackie and jet fight against one another in the forbidden kingdom. or do they never fight against one another (like when police story 3:supercop with michelle yeoh, jackie vs michelle never happened)

So as not to spoil anything I'll tell you that they do fight, but I won't tell any details like why or how many times.

ah thank you! finally an answer lol. i sorta expected they fight because in his blog, Jackie described his fight with Jet as being very smooth and he hasn't felt this good fighting since his early days with yuen biao and sammo hung.

Just saw the movie. It was sooo amazing. My friends thought it was ok, but I loved it. Maybe because I am a total Jackie fangirl. I was totally freaking out when Jackie and Jet li fought. It was like "c'mon Jackie get him" The movie was kinda cliche and the monkey king and the seeker or w/e he was kinda annoyed me though...

There is not much of a plot to the story to spoil anything.

I was talking to female parental about it; she asked me what I think of the movie and all I said it was so-so, and she agreed. There wasn't really much of the movie worth remembering, except the fight scene with a dancing pole between them, but more accurately the Nyoi-Bo (JP). Though out of everyone, Jackie Chan knows how to keep his audience entertained, I think Jet Li could do better than being too serious; I think he lost his touch from his older works that worth watching from the 1990's than his NA promo movies he has been doing more of these days.

the movie was humerous, a little out of place in the sorts...but i still enjoyed it. It is after all Jackie Chan and Jet Li. And seeing Jet Li act all goofy was worth it.

I didn't think it was amazing, but it was okay. The fight scenes seemed a little overdone to me.

It was alright. Nothing great. I expected a little more with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in the same movie. Can someone explain why Jet Li started making more movies, I thought he said his last was fearless a few yrs back?

fearless was his last wushu movie. by that, he meant movies that emphasizes on wushu, his philosophy/traditions and how one can be changed by it (like once upon a time in china, tai chi master, etc...). now he will only make action movies, where kung-fu will just be there for the sake of action.

I think the movie was not bad at all. But the fight scene could've been better. I mean, some of the scenes have no impact what so ever, and were sometimes dull. But storyline-wise, it was okay though.

i thought the movie was just alright. i must admit that hearing it in english was kinda weird. some things are just better in their original language :XD and yes it gets bonus marks for mentioning the Bride with White Hair :wtf which is probably one of my favourite chinese movies of all time :wtf bridgitte lin and leslie cheung were amazing in there :wtf

before i digress, back to the forbidden kingdom. i don't know, it was just rather weird seeing a white boy in the midst of all of it, he's so out of place :XD. i'm only glad that they didn't choose the cliche route of him being the strongest in the end or something. all in all the movie wasn't too bad, it got cheesy at times, but there are some pretty funny moments.

Just watched the movie. Some scenes were interesting, but plot was kinda weak. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with it.

<-- I'm a Jet Li and Jackie Chan fan.
