Application's only in this thread please.
Deadline for applications is April 18th
name: Ezzo Coatl
type: shinigami
rank: in this thread, captain. 8th division.
Weapon Description: ezpanitl (blood banner), all parts, (sheet, hilt, guard) are blood red, with jades embedded into the hilt. the blade itself is silver.
abilities: have a weak vision and hearing but powerful sense of smell.
vision is based on movment or rather fast things attract his attention (shiny as well).
have scaly skin that is hard and protect him to a certain degree from damage but also slow him a bit. he can shed his skin to gain more speed in the expense of having a very tender, thin skin for several hours. power based character.
shikai: command 'teezio' (our blood), take the form of a macuahuitl, the main body is blood red with the prismatic blades being obsidian black ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macuahuitl ) the main club body is decorated with tribal black patterns.
have a single, multi-role, command called 'quizozo' (draw our blood), once the attack starts all blood that was shed by Ezzo body or by Ezzo blade (only enemies who bleeds from fighting with Ezzo, meaning it dosnt effect someone who fight near by)starts to flow and hover through the air to the prismatic blades of ezpanitl, which suck the blood into them and slowly change color to bright red, the more blood the more bright it becomes. the brighter the blades are the blade increase its damage, momentum, impact power and overall destructiveness. hitting the blade at the ground cause a small shockwave from the momentum and power, causing damage from debries in near misses.
there a secondary effect. the blade draw more blood from the enemy, increasing the rate of bleeding while the user bleed less so it have a sort of weakening capability over the enemy and sort of healing capability to on the user or rather first aid by stopping bleeding.
banaki: eztli teootl tlaquetzalli (blood god pillar), the sword transform into a two handed macuahuitl as long as the user, greatly increase the amount of obsidian shards and the max attack power of the blade.
the draw of blood method also change, as a blood totem rise from the ground behind the user and start to draw blood from all over the area, every fight nearby serve the totem, all blood that spilled is drawn to the totem which transfer it to the sword, the ability of increased bleeding for enemies and decrease bleeding on the user is now in effect on other people who aren't directly involved in that fight, meaning that if an ally is bleeding and is in the radius of the totem then he will barely bleed while his opponent bleed more heavily. the radius is still to be disscussed, as it seems it will be around a 100 meter.
not only blood that is spilled in battle may be used, blood that is stored in blood bank would be also suitable in the bankai where in the shikai only blood from Ezzo or from the opponent was suitable.
Character Description:
persona: Ezzo Coatl is vain, so vain he thinks he is the reincarnation of a god and that his mere presence among mortals is a gift that should be cherished. Genuinely interesting in learning about human culture and customs due largely to the secluded life he had, because of that Ezzo is more than willing to converse with people to pass the time and to learn more about their way of life. However his god-complex and social isolation has impaired his ability to interpret expressions and decipher sarcasm which usually results in a conversation backfiring on him.
Ezzo believes that he is a god walking the earth and he believe that his words are holy and therefore must be true, so he will avoid lying at all cost and would keep his oaths to the death. His belief that he is a incarnation of god make it hard for him to understand the concept of death or to value the life of others. However despite these shortcomings, he has the one benefit that he does not judge people based on appearance but by merits and how much they adore him.
Likes: thinking about the past, sitting in the sun, eating hearts, adoration, tending himself.
Dislike: cold stuff, wide prey, people that are taller than him, liars.
Favorite food: hearts and most kind of meat.
Height: extremely tall scratching the 2.65 meter barrier.
Weight: 350 lbs
Eyes: Eye color is green and due to a genetic mutation, Ezzo’s pupils are silt instead of round given the impression of them being reptilian in nature. his eyelids are almost transparent which gives the feeling that he is constantly staring at something.
Hair: actually feathers, mostly green with some blue and red.
Face: basically a lizard-man face. his teeth are sharp and his tongue silted like that of a snake. strangely it doesn't affect his speech as one would assume. The teeth are not good for chewing and he prefer to eat his food whole, by dislocating his jaw. Not for the soft hearted.
Body: Ezzo's skin is tanned from prolong sun exposure and have a second scale like skin. Tend to paint his skin with various colors and patterns just to look more impressive, vain indeed.
:um this is stupid...i know...but i got no talent in this... :um

chibi Ezzo?
sample story:
made this story a while ago but its also contain the same basic character, its irrelevent to the current story but i wont use it anyway for the sake of not recyceling meterial, but still this is a good example to how Ezzo behaved when he was a student, since then his dementia only increased, the higher his rank the more insane he becomes.

http://tn3-1.deviantart.com/fs29/300W/f/2008/096/a/e/Demon_Samurai_by_toxicshok.jpg Art by Toxicshok (http://toxicshok.deviantart.com/)
Ji is a warrior and loves it, he will always be in the mood for a battle and never will turn one down. He doesn't underestimate anybody, he sees any and everyone as a potential opponent. Ji has two personalities, the docile one which he uses around friends that shows his kindness and humor, his other personality is the killer that he only shows in battle and bears sadistic characteristics. Ji also has a male superiority complex he is not aware of, he discriminates against women sometimes without realizing.
He likes fighting, ramen, and Shoji {Which he always loses at}
He dislikes Puzzles, tea, and ignorance.
History:
A bit of history for this Vice-captain hopefull, Ji was formely a Detention Unit Guard in the 2nd division and hopes to be prometed to Vice-Captain of the 2nd Division and to Commanding Officer of the Detention Unit. Due to certain requirments of the Detention Unit he is proficient with hand-to-hand combat and footwork.
Sample Story:
"Suzuku Ji!" An old man said, in a voice not of celebration but something close to it. Ji stiffened up at the sound of his name and made eye contact with the man, refusing to look at the audience staring at him so as if to grade his performance that had just begun as a captain. The old man presented Ji with a captain's badge for the 11th division and gestured for him to return to his seat.
What a suprising coronation ceremony, two seated officers becoming Lieutenants but the suprise of it all was a no-name shinigami defeating a captain to take his spot, Ji was the star attraction all the captain wanted to see, exactly who was this boy?
Ji had calmed down, after recieving the badge he had forgotten about being nervous, he was more focused on the free food. He made his way over to the table with one-thousand snacks and more but his path was blocked, a man in a white captain Haori looked down at him. "Can I help you?" Ji asked keeping his focus ont he snacks. "This is what all the fuss is about? Eh, I could have stayed in bed" The man mummered as he made his way across the room as if he never encountered Ji. Ji dismissed it, he didn't care, maybe he would get to fight that guy later.
"A captain" He thought, he would have never expected to reach this level, he wanted to become a Vice-Captain, but what a surprise. Ji trotted around in and out of the crowds eyeing a few captains anf trying to find his former Commander, the captain of the 2nd. She was no where to be found, but he expected that "She never attends these parties anyway, not even for a friend". Ji made his way to a nearby window and for the first time that day felt the sweat drip down his face and he realized just how humid it was in that room. As he glared out the window and people passing by and cluods in the sky he began to Reminisce about his time at the 2nd division, but that would not last long as the same Captain from earlier pulled him over infront of him and his associate. The captain introduced himself as; "Sinek Gosuken" and he waved his friend of as "Kenjin Mayunki", they began to silently evaluate Ji. After a few minutes of silence it was broken by Ji "Well I will be going if you don't mind" as he turned away towards the window ignoring any possible response from the captains. "How troublesome!" he mummered gazing into the sky........

Name : Murasaki Shinjiro ( prefers to be called Shinji )
Type : Shinigami
Rank : 5th Division Captain
Weapon Description : Chouka za Chikushou ( Dirge of the Beast), Extremely long about 86-90 cm, size of Nodachi, the blade is pure black, the hilt is white with black detailing and has a short chain coming out of the hilt , the hand guard is white and rectangular shaped with inscriptions of a cerberus. The sheath is completely wrapped in white cloth.
Abilities : Excelling at all he does he is often considered a prodigy although his reluctance to work would suggest otherwise. Though he prefers not to use kidou in an effort to look 'cooler', he will resort to kidou when he gets serious or particularly interested in a fight. While in Shikai Shinji can produce special sounds that enable one of the beast's heads to appear and attack the enemy. The sounds also disables the enemy's sense of balance and body position.
Forms :
Shikai - Command = Nake (Sing)
The sword changes in form to a sort of guitar-poleaxe weapon, it's size is notably larger than a regular guitar and is primarily black with crimson details. It retains the normal properties of a guitar and can be used to produce special sounds that disable the enemy's sense of balance and body position. The strings are formed by the users reiatsu so they cannot be cut. It also doubles as an axe and can be used at close range with no damage to the actual guitar, the blades come out on both sides of the body of the guitar and are large blades similar to a crescent moon, on one side the guitar the crescent moon is slightly larger. The neck is larger than a normal guitar neck and is used as the handle. The weapon is made of a obsidian. Size is similar to the size of Nnoitra's zanpaktou.
Similar to this : http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk84/FinalBoss43/Guitarweapon.gif
but different color scheme and size. Blades also are more visable and much larger.
Bankai - Command = Issai Hia Onsei (Let all hear your voice)
Shinji plays a unique song which summons a huge beast, similar to a cerberus but with a black mane, the beast is primarily made of the users reiatsu and can grow depending on the users level of reiatsu. The beast is clad in black armor made of obsidian. The armor covers the more vital areas, like the body and heads and is controlled by unique sounds. While in Bankai the user can still produce sounds with numerous effects and control the beast at the same time.
Similar to this : http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk84/FinalBoss43/cerberus.jpg
But much more spectral, black crimson color, obsidian armor, and black mane.
Character Description : Shinji appears to be a little over the age of 23 and wears the standard Shinigami uniform with the sleeved version of the captain's haori, the inside color is a deep crimson. Shinji is extremely laid back, but knows his responsibilities. He is tall, over 6'4, and is extremely lanky, he is usually smiling showing his teeth, and has very long, black hair. Despite his attitude Shinji is surprisingly wise, able to help out his squad when needed. He usually is very loose and cheerful, but can be angered, though this is very rare. He has a large appetite and is able to eat large amounts of food and drink large amounts of liquids without showing any signs of being full, despite his thin body. He enjoys taking strolls around the Sereitei accompanied by his vice captain or other captains, drinking sake with fellow shinigami, and eating. He dislikes overly serious people, sad stories, and working, but his subordinates keep him in line. He has a unique tongue piercing that has an unknown origin. Under his cheerful attitude he hides his true emotions.
History :
Shinji was adopted into a noble family without a care in the world. Shinji wanted an easy life void of work and hardships as he casually relaxed day after day in his family's estate. It was only until after his father kicked him out due to his laziness that he stumbled upon the Shinigami Academy. He was immediately admitted into the academy due to the overwhelming reiatsu and potential he possessed. He graduated from the academy within a year and became a shinigami, but his reluctance to train and obey orders deemed him to be a threat and he was locked away in the 2nd division's prison, known as the Maggots Nest.
There Shinji yearned for another chance to become a shinigami. He trained himself in isolation, using a stick as his blade, and over time developed an unpredictable and deadly style of swordfighting.
After the course of many years the captain of the 5th division had became interested in Shinji's abilities. He took him under his care and taught Shinji in all forms of combat himself. Within 7 years Shinji became the vice captain of the 5th division and on the occasion even did some work. He revisited his family's estate only to discover that his father, the current leader, had passed away. He assumed control over his family and estate and vowed to prove himself to his father and family. He visits his father's grave once a week.
After another 3 years Shinji was forced to fight and kill his captain, later taking over the 5th division as captain.
Sample Story :
Shinji's Past
Shinji was taking a casual stroll through the Sereitei, one of his usual hobbies, accompanied by the newly appointed 7th division captain, Katsumoto Akatsuke. They were on their way to the formal promotion as Shinji looked at Akatsuke's face full of joy and thought back on the day when he was promoted to captain, it was nearly 100 years ago...
Shinji was on his way to his captain's quarters and was greeted by the many shinigami that he passed by; "Hello vice-captain", "Good evening vice-captain". Shinji just smiled and proceeded to entering the 5th squad captain's office. The current captain, Ishikawa Hiro, was ill. He was examined, and the disease was identified as Alzheimer's Disease. Shinji made it a daily habit to take casual strolls through the Sereitei with his captain often comforting him and talking about the past. It had been 3 years since that terrible day.
It was late at night when Shinji heard a scream, he recognized the voice as the captain's young daughter, often she would join them as they walked around the Sereitei. Shinji immediately got up and went to see what was happening, he saw Hiro's daughter, Ishikawa Ai, fleeing from an enraged captain. Hiro was killing all who obstructed his path, his disease had elevated to it's final stage. He was extremely confused and could not remember any of his dear squad members. Hiro swung his sword down on Ai but Shinji stepped in and engaged the captain in battle."Hurry up an' get tha soutaichou!", Ai got up as fast as she could and followed Shinji's order.
Shinji did not wish to harm his captain, but if it came to it he would do what was necessary."Hiro-taichou it's me!", Shinji tried to help his captain regain his senses. Hiro responded with a powerful cut targeting Shinji's neck, Shinji barely dodged the cut as it clipped some of his hair."This could get dangerous..." Shinji said to himself. As many of the squad members gathered around the soutaichou himself arrived followed by Ai. "It is as we feared." said the soutaichou as he saw the battle.
*************
"Your illness is getting worse Hiro-taichou, soon you will not recognize any of the people you hold dear." It was very early in the morning and the soutaichou was visited by Hiro. "I know my illness is reaching it's final stage and I know that I will forget my squad and my daughter, but I want my last moment I remember with them, they are very dear to me. I understand that this may make things difficult for you but that is what I truly desire." The soutaichou thought for a moment, "I understand Hiro, when the time comes I will end it."
*************
Shinji was completely overpowered by Hiro's merciless attacks, but he refused to kill his captain. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw the soutaichou's stern face and Ai's face full of fear. "You must end this Shinjiro, end this before your captain loses himself completely!" Shinji looked toward the soutaichou he understood exactly what he needed to do, this would end now."Let all hear your voice," a fearsome cerberus appeared behind Shinji and his zanpaktou had become a great pole-axe Shinji's reiatsu was completely visable and it's overwhelming power stunned all, even the soutaichou"Dirge of the Beast.". Shinji flipped the axe upside down, making the weapon seem light as a feather despite it's huge size, and strings of reiatsu formed down the handle. He positioned the guitar near his hips and vibrant noises filled the air, the beast attacked Hiro. Upon striking a huge cloud of dirt arose from the ground, Hiro was forced to dodge the sheer force of the attack was too much to take head on. A shrieking sound was produced from Shinji's weapon disrupting Hiro's sense of balance and body position, he did not even notice Shinji jump up and face his captain one last time before he struck a lethal blow from the neck all the way down the body, Hiro was nearly cleaved in half as he fell to the ground, "Shinjiro..." Shinji caught him as they both slowly dropped down, the captain was dead before they even landed. Squad 5 had lost it's captain.
*************
Hiro responded, "No soutaichou, I wish to die by Shinjiro's blade. He is strong, he will be able to defeat me when the time comes." The soutaichou nodded, "I understand." "I would also like him to become the new captain after I am gone, I know this is the right decision and will keep squad 5 no, my family, alive."
*************
"Why did it have ta end this way..." the soutaichou walked up beside Shinji, "This is what your captain wanted, to be with his squad until the end. He also made it clear that it was you he wished to be killed by and you he wanted to succeed him as the new captain. After all you did defeat the current captain in a one on one duel with the whole squad as witness."
As the funeral for Ishikawa Hiro ended, Shinji's promotion as captain began, a somber song was heard throughout all the Sereitei.
BANG! Shinji walked head first into a wooden pillar. Akatsuke bent down to check if he was alright, "Shinjiro-taichou are you okay!?" Shinji was back in the present, he felt his nose and noticed a stream of blood flowing out from his nose, "Ouch, that didn't feel good... oh yeah I'm fine I guess I lost track of tha time there." Shinji held his hand up against his nose to stop the blood pouring from his nose, Akatsuke helped him up and they continued on to the promotion ceremony.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attack on Karakura Town
They arrived at the huge gate doors, [FONT="Comic Sans MS"]"Oi! Open up!" The gate slowly opened to reveal the third captain, "What took you two so long? Everyone is already here." He proceeded to a large room and joined the other captains in formation. "Well it looks like we kept em' waiting long enough." Shinji positioned himself in correct formation with the other captains.
The soutaichou spoke, "Katsumoto Akatsuke, current 3rd seat of the 8th division, step forward." As the soutaichou addressed all the proper rituals Shinji whispered to the 3rd division captain,"So Shihouin Daishi-taichou didn't bother showin' up ehh? The 3rd division captain responded "Shhh you know how he is he's probably off in his chambers refusing to be bothered." "Yeah I guess... but where is the 12th division captain?" "I heard he wasn't feeling well so he couldn't make it, but that's enough talking, wait until this is over." Shinji nodded and the promotion continued.
Suddenly a 2nd division member appeared using shunpo, "I apologize Hasimoto-soutaichou, Daishi-taichou commanded me to deliver this message, the real world is currently under attack by several high level Arrancar, the 12th division captain, Kanada-taichou, has confirmed them to be Espada level." The soutaichou showed little surprise "Prepare the gates, captains of the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th squads will ready themselves for battle!"
The captains had passed through the gate accompanied by a hell butterfly, they appeared in the sky above Karakura Town. They immediately saw the Espada and Shinji jumped ahead of the rest.
"I call dibs on this guy, the rest of ya can take care of the leftovers."
He immediately engaged the nearest Arrancar, "Murasaki Shinjiro, 5th division captain." the Arrancar laughed, "Haha I am Arrancar #6 Bernard! We have cleared this area of all living souls, now we shall fight!" Bernard unleashed a flurry of powerful punches, Shinji reacted by quickly dodging each punch, then unsheathing his zanpaktou he directed a slash across the Arrancar's chest.
His chest showed no deep cut instead only a small scratch that didn't even bleed."His hierro is that tough huh? I'll jus' have ta take it up a notch." Shinji quickly shunpoed around Bernard he then cast Hadou #71 Sakura Shakkahō, the three spheres of energy quickly approached Bernard, his huge body presented a nice target, but he was quicker than he looked he calmly dodged all but one which he swatted away with his bare hands, creating a cloud of dust. "You will have to do better than..." he was interrupted by Shinji, "Sing, Dirge of the Beast." Shinji suddenly appeared through the smoke with his great weapon in it's Shikai state.
He quickly used this opening and attacked Bernard, a huge gash was cut into his chest. "Too shallow ehhh? I was hoping ta chop ya in half, oh well." Bernard was breathing heavily clutching his wound with his left hand, "Curse you Shinigami.... it seems I have underestimated your abilities..... as of now I will treat you as an opponent of captain level strength. Crush, Golem!!"
Smoke covered Bernard completely, slowly as the smoke cleared Bernard's new form could be seen. His entire torso was covered in white armor and huge spiked rings formed around his shoulders, his face was completely covered in a mask with a single horn on his forehead. He was hold an incredibly big claymore with a serrated edge. His wounds healed completely,
"Prepare yourself." he dashed at Shinji blade at the ready, Shinji blocked his attack but was pushed back from the force. Suddenly Bernard pulled off one of the spikes on his shoulders and threw it at a high velocity toward Shinji. Shinji was surprised by his attack and could not dodge the javelin, it went completely through his shoulder.
"You will need your full power to defeat me. Use your Bankai, Shinigami." Shinji's breath became heavy, the wound was significant, "Use my Bankai? Don' jump the gun jus' yet.". Shinji positioned his weapon, blade down, and began playing his guitar. As the soundwaves reached Bernard's ears he lost his sense of balance and stumbled around, Shinji then played a series of sounds and a huge paw appeared out of a black fog and struck at Bernard, he had no hopes of dodging. A huge gash took Bernard's left arm completely off, "What did you just do?" "I used my zanpaktou's special ability, it impairs yer senses, then I summoned my beast to attack ya, simple as that." Bernard responded confidently as his arm began to heal, "Don't take me lightly..." Shinji shunpoed behind Bernard, Kidou#61 Six Rods Prison of Light. Bernard was completely immobilized, "Use my Bankai ya said? It's you who's takin' me lightly, Let all Hear your voice, Dirge of the Beast." The cerberus appeared behind Shinji it's full form leaving a shadow upon Bernard,"This is my Bankai..." Shinji continued to play music from his guitar, the cerberus roared and slightly pulled back, it then rushed Bernard its three heads coming down on him like meteors. Shinji sheathed his zanpaktou and walked away, there was nothing left of the former 6th Espada, Bernard.
The other captains defeated their Espada and were regrouping when suddenly Hasimoto's vice captain arrived with panic and fear...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rebellion
"Shihouin Daishi has incited a rebellion..." he was still gasping for air, "the 12th division captain has been in league with him from the start...he also enlisted help from Hueco Mundo. We need reinforcements immediately...gahhh". The vice captain was fatally wounded, there was nothing any of them could possibly do.
The captains immediately arrived to see parts of the Sereitei aflame, warriors were released from the 'Nest of Maggots' and were destroying all who opposed them. The Onmitsukidou as well as the Arrancar were engaging all Shinigami around the area.
All the captains knew Daishi to be cold to the point of ruthlessness, but they never thought him as an enemy.
Daishi and Hasimoto were both students of the previous soutaichou and used to be good friends. The soutaichou favored Hasimoto over Daishi due to his kind and fair sense of justice and allowed Hasimoto to become soutaichou on the day of his death. Daishi was shocked at his decision due to the fact that he was of noble birth, Hasimoto on the other hand was born in Rukongai and lived the life of a peasant.
Daishi had entered the 1st division HQ, Hasimoto was waiting for him, alone. "Alone Hasimoto? You know you cannot defeat me." Hasimoto said nothing, instead he drew his zanpaktou and took his battle stance. "You knew of my plans from the beginning, why did you not take action?" Hasimoto just glared at Daishi. Daishi was slightly angered, "You are a fool Hasimoto! You are afraid to take action and that is what makes you weak!" He charged Hasimoto and they engaged in battle.
Shinji, along with the remaining captains, quickly shunpoed toward the 1st division HQ where they felt surges of powerful reiatsu. As they approached their destination they saw the captains that had remained, fighting with high level Arrancar, they assumed them to be Espada. Shinji quickly went to aid his fellow captains.
Shinji joined the 10th and 11th division captains as they faced their Espada. The Arrancar did not seem surprised, "More reinforcements? No matter, I am the 1st Espada, Shadow." The number one tatooed on his chest, the remaining piece of his mask formed a complete helmet that only showed his eyes.
He instantly disappeared striking at all three of them before they knew what even happened. The other captains were already using their Shikai and Shinji decided to follow their example, "Sing, Dirge of the Beast." Shinji then played his guitar and the Espada's sense of balance was slightly hindered, the 10th captain proceeded to use his zanpaktou's ability and it's long chain quickly wrapped around the Espada. The 11th division captain's zanpaktou glowed crimson, he charged at the Espada with all his strength.
Shadow easily broke the chains to pieces, grabbed the 11th captain's sword with his bare hands and shattered it, he then swatted the 11th division captain away like a fly, "You are all weak." Daishi suddenly came out of 1st division HQ with the soutaichou unconscious, it was unknown whether he was alive or not.
"Hasimoto-soutaichou!!"Shinjiro and the other captains were shocked at the sight of Hasimoto's unconscious body. Daishi responded sharply, "Your pathetic soutaichou is dead, I killed him myself." The captains then prepared to attack Daishi, but Shinji stopped them, "We can't hope ta stop him here an' now, we need ta regroup." The remaining captains were pushed back by the Espada, the Arrancar began to pursue but they were halted by Daishi, "Leave them be, they are not a threat to me anymore."
As the captains quickly shunpoed away Shinji asked the captains, "Do any of ya know of any way outta here?" The 4th division captain replied, "I did some investigating and discovered that inside the 12th division HQ there is a sustained Garganta the Espada used to breach the Sereitei. We can use that to escape." It was decided, they quickly headed towards the 12th division HQ. They arrived with little trouble and saw the gate to Hueco Mundo, they quickly passed through and arrived in a white palace known as Las Noches.

As far as I can tell this is... FINISHED!
Name : Takada Ren
Type : Shinigami
Rank : Captain
Weapon Description: Oboroduki ‘Clouded Moon’
In its sealed form her zanpaktou has a blue handle and a simple oval guard.
Abilities
Ren is able to use shunpo and has considerable knowledge of medical treatments.
Forms :
Shikai: Command ‘Rise and shine’
The blade bends to take the form of a sickle, with another small, curved, blade attached to the top of the main one. The hilt also changes, with a ring appearing upon it above the hand, purely a decorative feature. The pommel becomes the shape of a crescent moon. There is one main shikai ability, activated by the command ‘wax’ or ‘wane’. Wax makes the blade into a circular shape which can be slipped around a limb. The ‘wane’ command causes the circle to contract at a very fast rate, which cuts off anything within it. The size of the circular blade can also vary, so it could even be used to tear someone in half if put around their middle.
Bankai: Command ‘Show your dark face’
Ren uses the command ‘show your dark face’ upon which the small half moon on the pommel of her zanpaktou sprouts into a second blade of the same size and shape as the first, but facing the opposite way. Her clothing remains the same, however a pair of white ribbons extend from the two small rings on her zanpaktou and wrap around her arm, going under her clothes and tying on the far side of her neck.
At the same time as the second blade forms, the zanpaktou emits a pulse of dark energy that spreads outward to create a circle of darkness around Ren and her enemies. The main ability of her bankai is to give her control of the spirit particles in the area within this circle, as the moon controls the tides she can control the flow of spirit power. She is able to use this ability to crush the life from her enemies. It is not an immediate effect, and usually by the time someone has realized what is occurring they are too far gone to escape it.
Her bankai is at its most powerful when the circle is confined to a 20ft radius, this can be expanded to up to 50ft, however doing so weakens its effect. Reducing the radius to smaller than 20ft makes the circle unstable and it is difficult for her to maintain and control. This instability also means that it is even more dangerous, putting even her allies at risk of harm by it. Once the circle is set up it is also hard to move, and she cannot leave it once it is active.
The circle can also protect her from ranged attacks to some degree. If these are formed from spirit particles she can alter their flight path so they avoid her. However if she is attacked by a large number of projectiles at once it is likely that most of them will make it past her defenses, forcing her to physically dodge them.
Character Description:
Ren is quite tall, and is fit with a well toned body. Her hair is blonde and straight with a thick fringe, and she wears it in a short ponytail on the right side of her head. Her eyes are dark blue, and when coupled with the half smile that she often wears they often seem to be looking condescendingly at people. Her shinigami robes are revealing, the neck is cut to reveal her ample bosom and rather than pants the bottom half is more like a skirt. She holds it together with a purple sash, which is tied into a large bow on her back. She doesn’t bother to wear socks with her sandals. As a captain she would dislike wearing her haori, often forgetting to put it on in the mornings, then during the day constantly taking it off and leaving it in stupid places.
Her personality is complex. On the outside she seems arrogant and ignorant of the feelings of others, but that is just her way of keeping them at arm’s length. She is hard on her squad members, constantly telling them that they need to improve themselves to be worthy of respect. She is particularly tough on females, as she feels they are more susceptible to emotions such as love and therefore mercy and kindness, which no soldier can afford to have. She does protect them against others, although she’ll then tell them to ‘grow a pair’ and stand up for themselves.
Because of how she treats them, and the fact that she often appears in the training yards to embarrass one of their number with her superior skills, she is not well liked amongst her squad. That said if someone from another squad was to insult her in some way they would defend her, as regardless of their personal dislike of her, she still inspires great loyalty.
She is lazy and apparently irresponsible, often missing important events because she was sleeping and people were too scared to wake her. She spends her free time drinking and gambling, and oddly the drunker she gets the more her luck improves.
She hates bunnies, this is not a Rukia reference, she has a good reason for it.
“Weak” She pronounced. The shinigami in front of her was breathing heavily, his zanpaktou held loosely, sweat making it slide in his grip. His taichou on the other hand hadn’t even drawn hers, nor had she moved, save to dodge his attacks. She stood there, staring at him with a bored expression. Again he moved to attack her, and again she dodged it quicker than he could blink. One second she was there, then the next she was behind him, landing a kick on his backside that sent him flying into the fence of the practice yard. He turned with a snarl and reached for his zanpaktou, only to find it pointing at his head. “I’m bored now. Go do something useful like take a shower. You smell terrible.”
He bowed, fists clenched at his sides, “Yes Takada-taichou.”
She handed his zanpaktou back to him “Good boy.”
Every other day she put herself through this monotony. First thing she’d go to the training grounds and wait for her squad to assemble. Then she’d watch them for a while and pick one of them to spar against. Inevitably this involved her dodging their attacks, waiting for one of them to finally be fast enough to hit her. So far none of them had ever succeeded. The other captains wondered why she wasted her time. Sometimes she wondered too. Then she remembered him. Her taichou.
It was hard to forget a man like that.
They met when she graduated from the academy and joined his squad. He had been vice-captain then, and her natural ‘assets’ had caught his eye. It didn’t take them much time, or a lot of sake, to end up in bed together. Then when he was promoted to captain, Ren had suddenly found herself a lieutenant.
Her captain had kept training her, praising her for her advances in learning the name of her zanpaktou and achieving shikai, and for improvements in her technique.
It was when she achieved bankai that everything changed. He had smiled, as he always did, told her that she was a clever girl, then taken her to bed. She lay awake that night, thinking, then left before dawn.
He had been surprised when he awoke to find a hundred members of his squad assembled outside his door. Even more so when she had challenged him, then coldly and clinically used her abilities to counter his every move and shatter his defences, leaving him completely helpless before her. He’d been surprised up until the moment she’d used her bankai to crush the life from his corpse. After that he’d just been dead.
So why in the present day did she turn up at the training yards and test random members of her squad? Because her captain had stopped looking at her when he’d started sleeping with her. He’d stopped seeing her as another shinigami and started seeing her as something he owned, something that belonged to him. The reason that Takada Ren spent so much time fighting her own squad members was to remind herself that they were not her friends. No matter how much sake they drank together, no matter how much they bonded, she was their captain, and one day one of them would have to challenge her for that position. And when they did she was going to be ready.
Aoki Taro peered around the door of his captain’s office. The noise that erupted from within made him jump back around the doorframe and quiver in fear. This was not what he’d thought it would be like being lieutenant. He’d imagined that there would be a lot more paperwork and a lot less running around in terror for his life. The terrible noise came again and he began shaking even more. This was like something from a nightmare. Why couldn’t she just make him do paperwork? He liked paperwork, it was reliable and never tried to kill you. He took a deep breath, if he didn’t go soon it would be too late, then she’d probably disembowel him.
He stepped through the doorway just as the sound came a third time. All the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as he stepped forward. The scene before him was horrific, he’d never seen so much destruction in his life. Taro was sure he was going to need counseling after this.
He leaned forward and gently tapped the beast before him on the arm “Takada-taichou?”
“Grraa- Huh whassat?” Ren was interrupted in mid snore. Blinking sleep from her eyes she wondered who had woken her. Then she heard something from under her right armpit and looked down to see her lieutenant clutched in a headlock, her zanpaktou pressing into his forehead “Oh Aoki. What’s up?”
Aoki thanked any available deity that he’d been to the bathroom before coming to visit her “Takada-taichou, you asked that I wake you before your induction ceremony into the Gotei 13.”
She saw him stare wide-eyed at the state of her office. She had to admit it was pretty impressive, there’d been some serious celebrating here last night. On first glance she counted thirty sake bottles in various places. She could feel her morning headache coming on, although she seemed to have slept through the most of it “Gotei 13 ceremony.” It rang a bell, she tried to remember “Ah yeah, that.” She realized she was still threatening her shaking lieutenant under an arm. She released him “Good work waking me up. The last person that tried that got skewered, I must like you or something.”
Aoki swallowed and rubbed his neck which was rapidly going red “Oh, good.” He managed to croak.
Ren fumbled around in the mess on her desk, and after a few seconds managed to pull out a white piece of cloth. She smiled triumphantly “Got it!”
Aoki squinted at it “Is that-”
“Yup took it off him myself before he bled on it too much. There’s a couple of stains but I don’t think anyone will notice. You can take it to get it cleaned when I get back.”
She slung it over her shoulders and adjusted it so it fit right “How do I look?”
Aoki sighed “Like a captain.”
“Good.”
It took them a few more minutes to get ready to leave, mostly because Ren had misplaced one of her sandals. Aoki had found it eventually, stuck to the roof. He didn’t even ask about that one. Once she’d put it back on she’d strode from the office in a swirl of white haori, limping slightly as one foot got stuck to the ground. He still had to run to keep up.
Ren looked sidelong at her lieutenant, following her dejectedly through the corridors. He didn’t like his job, that much was obvious, and he probably didn’t like her. She hadn’t picked him so they could be best friends though, she’d picked him because he’d be a good lieutenant. She’d been a terrible one, and with her as captain the division needed someone responsible who understood all the administrative crap.
The sound of raised voices filtered through one of the doors and she frowned. It was her first day as captain, even though she hadn’t made it to the ceremony yet she still had a responsibility to her division members. She followed the noise to its source, Aoki still trailing miserably behind her, hadn’t actually realized that there had been a deviation in their route.
The noise seemed to be coming from a pair of male shinigami standing in the middle of the corridor, who appeared to be manhandling someone from her division. Aoki caught up to her in time to see Ren’s eyes narrow, and her expression turn hard. He knew something very bad was about to happen.
“So I’m asking again, what is scum like you doing getting in the way of someone like me.” One of the men sneered down at the girl kneeling on the floor in front of them.
She stared up at them “I’m sorry sir! It was an accident.”
The other man grabbed her by the arm “Well, why don’t I teach you not to make ‘accidents’ like that again.”
The girl’s eyes suddenly left his face to stare at his arm in growing horror. He turned to see what had happened and watched as his hand released her arm and dropped to the floor. He clutched the stump of his arm as the pain hit, and he crumpled to the floor, screaming.
Ren smiled and put her now bloody zanpaktou to the throat of the first man, who still hadn’t realized what was happening. “And what can I do for you today, sir?”
He stared up at her, eyes taking in the captain’s haori, the cold smile on her lips and the red on her zanpaktou. He found himself unable to speak. Ren looked at him in mock consternation “Oh I’m sorry, how rude of me not to introduce myself.” She shook his hand, then leant down and picked up the one she’d severed from his friend, and shook that too, flicking blood all over the corridor “Pleased to meet you both, I’m Takada Ren, the new taichou here. I’m sorry it hasn’t been made official yet, I only killed the last taichou yesterday and the Gotei 13 hasn’t quite caught up.”
She leant forward “As you can see, unlike my predecessor, I take people threatening my division members very seriously. If you threaten them, you threaten me, and that’s probably not a good idea now is it?”
She squatted down next to the man screaming on the floor “But I guess I don’t need to tell you that.” She dumped his hand in his lap “Here, if you ask really really nicely there’s probably someone here who can sew that back on.”
Next Ren turned to the girl they’d been threatening, she was staring wide-eyed at her new captain and Ren almost felt sorry for her. “Idiot.” Gently she smacked the girl upside the head and her face turned serious “How can fools like this respect you when you have no respect for yourself. Next time I expect you to be the one to cut off his had. Sew it on again afterwards if you must, but act like a shinigami, not some pathetic worm.”
The girl nodded and managed to stammer out a “Y-yes Takada-t-taichou.”
Ren ignored her, and wiped her bloody hands on her haori before grabbing a wide-eyed Aoki by the shoulder “Come on, we’ll be late.”
He’d moved from dejected to speechlessly, the only thing he could do was stare at her while she muttered to herself “Really, next time I should cut off something that doesn’t produce so much blood. Arteries are such a nuisance.”
In the meeting hall the Soutaichou was getting increasingly angry “This is supposed to be a meeting of the Gotei 13, not the Gotei 10! Where are 6th and 10th? Don’t tell me they’re all off chasing hollows in the living world?” He glared around again “And 11th? I thought I could at least rely on their attendance.”
His lieutenant scurried out from the entrance way “She’s here sir.”
The soutaichou rolled his eyes “Well everyone else will have to get caught up later. Show her in.”
There were a few raised eyebrows at her appearance, but other than that the only look she got was one of mild curiousity. The soutaichou nodded at her gravely “Members of the Gotei Thirteen, this is the newest of your number Takada Ren, the- Eleventh?”
A man stood at the door, a furious expression on his face “Sorry I’m late sir, but this harpy managed to maim one of my division members on her way here, I’ve been trying to clean up the mess.”
He glared at Ren who smiled condescendingly “I’m sorry, it was an accident, I’m sure your men will tell you the same thing.”
Eleventh pushed past her to confront the soutaichou “You can’t possible appoint her a captain, she’ll drag her division’s name into the dust!”
The soutaichou sighed “I don’t have much of a choice, yesterday she killed the former captain in front of a hundred division members.”
A few eyes widened at this, and some of the newer members even gaped at her. Eleventh opened and closed his mouth a few times which Ren found particularly amusing “You hadn’t heard? I would have thought the news would have been all over Seireitei.”
Eleventh seemed to find his voice “But that’s never happened before! Not in that division, this cannot be allowed sir!”
The soutaichou raised an eyebrow “It is not up to you. Perhaps if you want to keep your division members whole, rather than blame Takada-san for their resultant injuries, you should teach them how to behave when they visit another division. Now get in line so we can finish this properly.”
He paused to look at the gathered captains, and their newest recruit. This was going to be very interesting.
“Members of the Gotei 13, Please welcome your new sister, Takada Ren, captain of the Fourth Division.”
It was that dream again.
Ren was cold. There was no breeze, yet her clothes and her hair floated around her. The sand beneath her bare feet was soft and white, like silk, and above her stars twinkled in the black velvet of the sky. Occasionally her vision was obscured by a grey mist that twisted around her, making strange patterns in the air. She hated this place, felt suffocated by the beauty of it. She didn’t belong here, didn’t want to belong here. Occasionally the mists parted, showing strange shapes on the landscape. She’d never thought of it before, but this place was actually kind of like what she’d heard of Hueco Mundo, but a strange, gentler, version. In a way it would have been more reassuring if this place had been bristling with hollows desperate to consume her.
The mists before her swirled and began to coalesce into a solid figure. Ren felt bile rise in her throat as she recognised it “You.” The word was an accusation, and the shape hesitated in its formation, then seemed to find its resolve.
It revealed itself to be a white rabbit, much larger than any in the real world. That wasn’t the only difference between this creature and other rabbits though, the most obvious difference was the pair of wings that sprouted out of its back. As it got closer Ren could see that the wings were tightly bound together by a number of bright red cords, the same cords which bound the creature’s front and back legs, causing it to limp painfully. It didn’t bleed, and Ren doubted that it could, but the pain was obvious in every movement it made.
The creature stopped before her and looked up at her pleadingly. She stared down at it coldly “What do you want from me?”
It sighed “You know what I want. I want to be free. This is wrong. You shouldn’t do this to me, you shouldn’t do this to yourself.”
It looked at Ren’s hands, and she followed its gaze to see that the same red cords were tied around her limbs. Her face twisted with rage and she pulled her hands apart, causing the cords to vanish “Don’t try and manipulate me! I know what this is. You want to weaken me, make me give in so you can take control!”
The rabbit winced at her words, as if they were physical blows, then turned away from her “If you didn’t come to free me then why did you come?”
“You think I choose to come to this place? I can’t help what I dream.”
The rabbit’s back seemed to shrink before her “Then perhaps you take pleasure from seeing me this way. Why do you chain me like this? It’s wrong.”
Now it was Ren who turned away “What is wrong is that you dare to question me. You serve me, not the other way around. Never forget that… Oboroduki…” Her last words were whispered into the darkness as her inner world faded away.
A very bad pic of Ren, mostly because I took the picture on my camera and then put it in here. If she look slightly deformed it's because of the weird camera angle as much as my lack of drawing abilities.

And here's kinda an idea of what Oboroduki's bankai form would look like.

Since MS said I couldn't use a charecter already in the RPG, I'll use this one:
Name : Akegata Shirofuri
Type : Shinigami (5th Division)
Rank : Captain
Weapon Description:
Asakiri (Morning Mist)
Sealed Form: Resembles an ordinary katana. It's hilt has a blue-green cloth around it. Raindrop-engravings are on the zanpakuto's tsuba. The blade is silver in color with a light tinge of green. The sheath is blue-green.
Abilities: Shirofuri is skilled in all four forms of shinigami combat. Although he tends to use his spiritual pressure to disable his oppoents. He only fights seriously when someone takes his interest.
THe Kidou he uses most often:
Hadou 42: Summoning Swords- Summons five katana's that shoot out at the opponent. Although the blades do have their uses, their durability is nowhere near that of a zanpakuto.
Forms :
Release Command: "Fade..."
Shikai: The zanpakuto has two abilites in it's shikai. The first ability is that mist emmits from the blade that covers the battleground aroung the wielder.
-Mist Clone: Allows the wielder of Asakiri to create clones of other people made of mist. The one stimulation is the mist needs a medium (The target's hair, sweat, e.t.c.) to bind itself to in order to create a viable image of the target. It also copies any weapons the target carries, however, these clones are no where near as powerful as the original.
Bankai: Asawai Asakiri (Pale Morning Mist)
Asakiri emits a pure-white colored mist. Anyone standing in the mist will be unable to see the wielder of Asakiri at all, whether by vision or sensing reiatsu.
Character Description:
Akegata-Taichou stands at 5'9'' and 136lbs. His black hair is specked with grey. His eyes are a blue-green. His skin has slight wrinkles from age. He wears the long-sleaved version of the captain's haori. Underneath he wears the hakama and gi of a shinigami. His zanpakuto is held at his left hip, edge face down like a tachi.
Personality: Calm, Patient, Smart. Tends to keep an impassive face. The only time he shows a smile is when an opponent exceles Shirofuri's own analysis of his opponent's abilities. He does however show respect, using honorifics for many people.
Example Post:
"I see." 5th Division captain Akegata Shirofuri said as he clipped another pesky weed. The captain wore a leather apron instead of his haori as he examined the plant. His Fukitaichou had found him in the greenhouse that Akegata had built long before.
"All captains are to be out capturing the ryoka sir." the lieutenant said. "And from what soutaichou said, this is considered a top-priority."
Shirofuri sighed as he put the clippers on the table, keeping his passive face. "Very well. I shall go and hunt these ryoka. You will be in charge of the barracks until my return."
"Understood sir." the lieutenant bowed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
THe ryoka houghed as he ran between to buildings, avoiding members of the 11th Division. He shifted his way between the buildings and out into the new street, only to see...
The entire street was enshrouded in a thick fog. The ryoka could barely see three feet ahead of him.
"Whose there!?" someone yelled. He knew that voice. One of the 11th Diviion members.
"We found him!" another yelled as they ran into the mist. "Now it's time for you to die!"
"Beasts should know not to leave their territory."
Both the ryoka and the shinigami turned to where that voice came from. Comming into view was a man wearing the white haori of a captain.
"Akegata-Taichou. THis is our target." one of the 11th Division members yelled as he aproached the ryoka.
Shirofuri's eyes glanced over at the 11th Members. The area began to shake, the air thick with reiatsu, it was more than any of the shinigami could take as they fell to the ground.
Akegata then continued his focus on the ryoka. "Forgive me, but you must be eliminated."
That was all that needed to be said as the roka coughed, looking down, a zanpakuto was in his stomach. He looked up to see Shirofuri standing there, the blade in his hand.

Kyro has now been a captain for 5 years and has mutch experiance, thoguh there are some things within the soul society are still unkown to him, sutch as the existance of the illustrious Squad 0.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Kyro Strode into the office of his Leitenant, the Leitenant was startled by the captain Arival, and she quickly attempted to clean her desk.
Kyro smiled sincerely. before walking through the Leitenants office pushing open the door to his own. The air was warm, He was happy about this but was still upset about his new Squad HQ having no windows in the Captains Quarters.
there was a faint knock on the Door as he turned swivling on his feet, he saw the Squad 3rd seat Stood in the open door way, his hand leaning gently on the wooden door.
"Enter please" Kyro said pacing lightly towards the 3rd seat. this man was Kenkei, a master of kidou, Kyro was some times jealous of the boys skills but was content to keep im in the squad as Kenkei's skills would protect the captain weakness...
Kenkai nodded, before stepping wearely into the room.
"Captain Crysta I was bid By the gate guards to come and get your assistance"
Kenkei's eyes where distort, the captain only noticed as he stpped closer, aswell the boy was out of breath he had obviously ran from some distance.
"Go on kenkei, whats the problem, tell me as we head out the the west gate"
Kenkei nodded turning also and following the captain out of the Door, the Leitenants desk was Now clean and tidy as she grinned to the captain as he left, as he stepped from the door she sighed, and let out a deep breath...
"Why do i work so hard" She mumbled to herself under her breath.
Kyro was now close to the gate the 3rd seat following close behind him, to the captains suprise the guards where on the floor. he strode to the closes stooping down next to the inanimate body. he gently placesd his fingers on the mans face closing his eyes...
"You see sir, they're dead!"
kenkei's hand was shaking slightly at the sight of the blood splatter'd onto the ground.
Kyro stood again, and placed a palm on the 3rd seats shoulder.
"Hurry Kenkei runto the other captains and tell them the dilema we have a murderer on the loose"
Kenkei was stood still still shaking before nodding and running of into the courts.
Captain Kyro Veiwed the surrounding area with one glance, Noticing a distored Blur above one of the roofs, he snarled before flash stepping onto the roof infront of the blur, it quickly fled, like a jush of wind it leapt from roof top to roof top.
The captain hot in its tail, his sword was still sheathed. the Captains hand rose up infront of him...
in the seal possition of the "tiger" then he was gone, with a crackle, like a blur he re appeared infront of the fleeing figure.
he hand had now lashed out like a whip grabbing hold if the figures neck, as the captain forced the figure to its knees, it slowly became visible.
The Captains Grip loosend
A shinigami Knelt before him, but this man wasn't a member of the 13 protection Squads.
Captain kyro's palm now rested twitchingly upon his zanpaktous grip.
the fingure faced turned from fear into a huge grin... like they of a child that was pleased with his work.
"Captain Kyro Crysta of the 8th squad if i'm not mistaken"
The captain was alarmed at the man knowing his name, title and squad.
"Who the hell are you, And why did you kill those guards!"
the captain Steped forwards slightly to impose fear once again on the man...
"Like you captain i'm a shinigami"
the man stood, and with a swong of his arm a sword appeared in his hand. like it appeared from midair.
Suddenly without meaning or cause the blade thrust out at captain Kyros chest, he narrowly arced his body out of the way.
The man continued to slash violently with no real skill, and the captain continued to dodge as their feet traded possitions over and over...
Suddenly Kyro grabbed the grip of the mans sword, forcing it up behind his back pinning him, whiel still standing.
the man grinned the captain saw another sword begining to appar in his free hand, aswell as noticing it was disappearing from his now pinned hand.
the blade swung over the captains guard, and over the captain himself.
Their was a splat of blood, that srpayed into their air, As young Kenkei fell to the ground.
Kenkeis eyes were tearfull, the stab wound buried deep into his shoulder and down into his chest.
he coughed once.
"Sorry captain, i was only trying too..." before he finsihed the sentance the strangers sword moved like a gust of wind removing the young 3rd seats head.
Kyro was to pre-occupied with tending his fallen friend.A he released the strangers arm and flashed stapped bakc slightly to kenkei's side.
The stranger stood over them both,
"maybe now we can have a fight without interuption."
The captain release the hand he had been clutching it was cold and quiet as it flopped onto the tiling of the roof...
kenkei's head had rolled down the slope and was now sat in its own red puddle on teh sandy ground.
The captain slowly rose, like a jugernaught a faint orange glow eluminated his body...
the Strangers grin rose on his face as he felt the Captains Spirit energy rising.
The captains sword was now drawn, it sat limply in his palm, the stranger getting into a guard possition. Like a flash the Strangers sword swept down like a typhoon at the captains exposed back.
as the sword was lowering in the air, captain kyro simple mubmled somthing under his breath.
"Glow in the light, Geno-Glossia!"
his voice bommed when speaking the swords name. as it flashed blinding and stunning the Stranger cause his attack to go of course and his sword smashed into the roof tiling.
the Huge crystal like head of the glaive now hammerd down onto the strangers shoulders while he was still stunned, driving his face into the roofing. blood sprayed form the stangers mouth as he spat out a dislodged tooth.
He rose looking up at the captain how had jsut swung the huge double headed glaive onto his shoulder...
"You killed my subordinate... Not a power in heaven will protect you"
Kyro Darted forwards, Slamming the spiked end of the glaive at the Mans check luckely the man rose his blade, and parryed the captains attack, but this was his mistake as the captains glaive rose throwing the mans sword into the Air.
"Havn't you noticed already, disarming me doesnt work!"
the stranger yelled as the sword began to fain into his hand...
"Oh yes i have..." said the captain as he turned to face the man, his fist was glowing faint red and streak of white lightning sparked from it...
like a demon, he flashed stepped to within 12 inches of the stranger...
the mans sword was now fully formed in his hand, but it was to late. the captains fist had puched a hole through his chest...
"Hakudo 666, the devils paw" wisperd Kyro and he pulled the now bloody arm from the mans body...
the stranger fell to his knees before rolling down the roof and falling inellegantly to the floor in a bloody puddle only meters from Kenkei's head.
Suddenly another captain with 3 of his seated squad members appeared in a cracking sound of static.
"Captain Crysta" said the captain that had just arrived...
"Its already over Captain Mongai, the intruder has been dealt with"
replied kyro, picking up kenkei's head a uniting it with his body...
"Another members of your squad lost, this is indeed a grave mistake" said captain Fuggi mongai, captain of the 12 squad.
Kyro sighed,
"He was only trying to help"
the 3 squad members cpatain Fuggi had brought with him began to carry the bodys into a building.
as Fuggi's hand landed softly on the should of Captain Crysta...
"Kyro, who was the intruder?"
kyro hesitated...
"if he was who i beleived him to be, then we are in trouble... we havn't seen the end of this..."
_________The End_________________#
Captain Kyro is captain of the 6th Squad, Aswell as an advisor at the soul accademy for those Students whos abillitys dont quite cover Spirit attacks Mutch like his own.
He was given the place of squad 6 captain by standard means, The captain before him was Lost in combat, Though when they said lost, there was no mention of where or how, Rumors said the the previous captain had been sen't to Hueco mundo, never to return. Leaving the vacancy for Captain Kyro to fill.
He has a little experiance of leadership from his 5 years of being captain. Though there are many things withtin the soul society that still ellude him. The captain of Squad 12 for example, Even though Kyro has no personal vendeta with the captain kyro always finds the captain of squad 12 disloyal, and is always watching.
His top 6 squad members are all highly Trained (Obviously They are always vacant for players im just trying to build on Kyro's background) Kyro hand picked the young shinigami as they graduated from the soul accademy. He soon became to know them as his own, almost like his children always looking after them and making them happy.
The captain commander is Proud of kyro, and seems to show a subtle laxness towards the squad 6 captain. Being aloud of the hook for mistakes. But in the last year and a half of kyro's time as a captain he has began his own investigation.
Due to the Sudden Arival of hollows in the human world. Kyro is attempting to develop the same kind of gate ways that go from Hueco Mundo - to earth.
This is an increddibly stupid idea even thoguh kyro does not no himself. Keeping this Project secret from other captains.
The development of a Hueco mundo portal, would mean openings From the hollow realm straight into the soul society...
There would be war.
His developments also consist of Experiments practiced in secret being the back of the 12th squad captain the cheif research and science officer.
Kyro Has developed mutipul Types of gate way to allow easy travel withing the Soul Society, And has at one point Stumbled across somthing Quite amazing, deep in a catacomb below the seretei, a huge obalisk stands, the sourse of the Spirit sheild surrounding the Seretei itself.
The huge ammount of spirit energy flowing from the structure is legend. Kyro over the last year has developed was of capturing energy from this structure and feeding it into his own body and the bodys of others.
Increasing his spirit energy by almost 30% - 50%
The obelisks power flows from deep down in the ground and kyro now has his own small digging team of 12 shinigami tunneling towards the sourse...
If the sourse of the Seretei's sheilds is discoverd and tamperd with aswell as kyro's Hollow world portal techknowledgy...
The events could be devistating....
(Just trying to Make a plot.... none of this is real)
Just did a rough couple of scetches of my char on peice a scrap paper so theri no good its just for the ideas.

DANA MINALOUCHE
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc298/Ryuzaki_L_/DanaMinalouche.jpg
* The pic you see is made by me for you to get an idea how my character Dana looks like
Name : Dana Minalouche
Type : Shinigami
Rank : Captain (of a division which doesn't have a captain yet. Unpretentious)
Weapon Description:
Long thin black blade stained with spider's net, very sharp and poisonous. The guard has the shape of a metal spider with four sharp tentacles positioned clockwise. And the hilt is long enough for the sword to be used with both hands- it's colour is dark red, but it's covered with a poison-green band and there's a chain with a metal spider hanged of the hilt.
Abilities (list them generically, like "shyunpos, kidoh, ice attacks")
She masters alchemistry, mainly creates and mixes poisons and antidotes, using bioelements from deadly spiders' venom. She's good at using 'flash steps' too, but her kidoh is totally unsuccessful and useless and she has weak sense of someone's reatsu or presense. Dana uses her intelligence and techniques mostly, because she isn't specialized in brute fighting and her strenght is low.
Forms : (Shikai, Bankai, etc. Describe effects & appearance)
Her zanpakuto's name is Theraphosidae (lat. Tarantula's venom). The 'spirit' under the sword is a little dark spirit with tarantula shape.(actually this is how the spirit looks like, it's not always there)
Shikai- 'Split, Theraphosidae', literally means her black blade splits large sticky spider's net with a little army of different types poisonous jumping spiders.Appearance:The guard's tentacles direct to the enemy and cover the blade with thick web, that scatters ahead when it reaches the point of the blade.Effects: The web is very strong and poisonous and it can cut the enemy's skin, making the wounds corroding because of the venom (if the enemy doesn't take an antidote he may become stunned and dizzy, but fortunately for the enemy this type of venom cannot cause death). The web's venom may not be dangerous for the enemy's life, but the spiders' one sure is. So, the enemy must get rid of all the spiders creeping towards him, or one bite can cause him death within 5 hours. Of course, he can die earlyer if there are more than one single bite. The antidote is positioned in Dana's pocket, so if he manages to defeat her or Dana desides to cure her enemy- this antidote is the only way to neutralize the deadly venom.
Bankai- 'Rise, Theraphosidae' , literally means the ghost within is rising. The zanpakuto takes the shape of a giant black half-sceleton half-biological tarantula that carries Dana on its head. Appearance: The guard's tentacles enlarge themselves to their original giant tarantula's ones and the web splitted by the blade forms the body and the head. Effects: The tarantula is deadly poisonous, of course, and its tentacles are sharp sword-edges like the zanpakuto's blade. Very powerful bankai, but it has one weakness- because of its size, the tarantula is too slow and even if its hard for the enemy to reach Dana, it's very easy for him to just run away.
Character Description:
Dana's appearance- She's not very tall, but definately not short either. She has not-exactly-long red hair hardly reaching her shoulders, and light-blue eyes. She has normally looking nose, beautiful lips and sharp chin. Dana wears mostly black clothes and strange wide leather boots. She likes expensive jewellery , with the shape of spiders if possible.
Likes: Alchemistry; mixing poisons and antidotes; spiders; working in a lab; drinking coffee or tea with a good company; listening to someone who's playing the violin or cello; classic music; reading books; giving orders that noone could possibly want to obey.
Dislikes: Loud sound and noises; people with sick ambitions; animals (especially dogs, she hates `em); winter and snow; liars (even if she lies too); vegetables.
Story: She was just an ordinary spirit in SS, who mastered alchemistry and medicine. She was working as the doctor of her village, healing different illness by means of potions, elixirs and different chemical substances created by herself. Unfortunately, one day her village was attacked by arrancars. As the village was too far away from Sereitei, the shinigamis couldn't possibly know about the attack or give the villagers a hand, that's why the village was destroyes and all the souls were eaten by the enemies. Dana could escape after few unsuccessful tries to revive the souls of her friends, using dark magic. Totally left alone and feeling useless, she decided to change her own life and become a shinigami. The Shinigami academy welcomed her with open arms because of her brilliant knowledge about alchemistry and her intelligence. She managed to master flashsteps and sword-fighting, but her kidoh were the weakest among all the stidents at the academy. She had real problems with physical exercises, because she was physically weak and she couldn't even pick up heavier katanas from the ground.
Sample plot:
The general suggested a lot of lieutenants for Dana's division, but she hated them all. She wanted to chose her own lieutenant among the shinigamis she wanted, but the rules were rules- she had only one week to select a vicecaptain, otherwise the general would make that choice.
The candidates were all powerfull shinigamis with brilliand biography, but it wasn't what she wanted. Feeling confused, she took a walk to clarify her mind. The streets in Sereitei were deserted as it was late in the evening, but the emptiness gave her this peace of mind she seeked in her life every minute every day. Then she heard the cello. A beautiful poem tearing the strings to pieces, a melody that filled the air with peace and brilliance.Beethoven's Romance No. 2 in F for cello. The music came from a little japanese house in the end of the street. Dana followed the sound and when she reached the house, she only sat on the bench near the door and she listened to the beautiful music without saying anything. After a few minutes the music stopped. A young boy came out of the house:
- Exuse me, why are you sitting in front of my house?
- I doesn't matter- she answered- Just keep on playing.
- Oh my god!- now the boy recognized her- Minalouche taicho!
- I don't think I was clear... let's continue with the Romance No.2, shall we?
- Um..yes... as you wish, taicho...
The boy, being totally confused, took his cello and continued the work of art. When he finished playing Beethoven, she stayed quietly without saying nothing.
- What's your name?- she asked
- Who me?...Um... Kenichi Tanaka. Honour to...
- That's nice, Kenny.Would you like to be my vice captain?
- Is this a joke?- Kenny felt really mixed-up.
- Do I look like a joke to you, Kenny?
- No, Minalouche taicho...I just...don't get it. I'm just a normal shinigamy, barely with an officer rank.
- Do you have shikai?
- Yes, I do, but it's kind of weak.
- That solves the problem.
- But, taicho... I mean... there are a lot of powerful shinigamis who want to be vicecaptains of your division.
- One week, Kenny. I need just one week to make you strong enough. The problem is if you want to be my vicecaptain or not!
- Of course I want to... it's a great honour, but... why me?
- What you have is even stronger than anyone's bankai.
- I don't get it.
- Kenny, you don't get it `cuz you speak a lot and don't make me finish.
Tanaka fell silent. The last thing he wanted was to make Dana angry.
- As I said- she continued- You have great presence of art, intelligence and genius.Personally, I wouldn't ever fight a person who builds his self in the strings while he creates such beauty. The others are very powerful, yes, but their strenght, arrogance and brute power just demonstrate their own mental weakness. Come with me, I can make you the best.
* Sorry if there are some mistakes, my English isn't exactly perfect.

I'm sorry, but the 12th Division spot is already taken, along with 1st Division and 3rd. If you want your character to stay and try out for 12th, the best you can get will be VC.
Also, for anyone who hasn't been to this thread (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?t=4081), the deadline is currently set to April 18th, which will hopefully be enough to get everyone's characters done.

Name: Itō Haruki
Type: Shinigami
Rank: Captain
Weapon Description: Akebonohtori (Dawn Phoenix)
In its sealed state, Akebonohtori resembles a simple katana. It has an oval guard with small flame patterns detailed in gold. Additionally, its grip is wrapped in red cloth, and a red tassel hangs from the end.
Furthermore, Akebonohtori has a red sheath, also with gold detailing of fire along its length.
Abilities: Itō-Taichō has a particular affinity for the fire element, and as a result, he excels at fire-based Kidō techniques. He is well known for being able to execute the following Bakudō and Hadō techniques without an incantation:
Bakudō #11 - Kagami no Honō (Mirror of Flame) - Allows the caster to communicate through open flames, which must be present on both sides of contact. Depending on the skill and reiatsu of the user, a flame as small as a candle may suffice.
Bakudō #63 - Orihi (Fire Prison) - Imprisons a target in a cage of reiatsu, manifested as fire.
Hadō #31 - Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire)
Hadō #33 - Sōkatsui (Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Hadō #54 - Haien (Abolishing Flames)
Hadō #71 - Sakura Shakkahō (Cherry Blossoms: Shots of Red Fire) - An advanced form of Hadō #31, it fires a series of three balls of energy.
Hadō #73 - Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus: Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Itō-Taichō is also highly proficient in standard shinigami techniques: shunpō, swordsmanship, and hand-to-hand combat.
Forms:
Shikai:
Upon calling Akebonohtori's release command, "Sasu!" ("Shine!", also interpreted as, "Strike!"), Itō-Taichō's zanpakutō takes on the form of a falchion (http://jodysamson.com/images/News/5-18-04/viking%20falchion.jpg): a medium-sized, curved blade.
Unlike a standard falchion, however, the tip of the blade is doubly wide, and has a triangular gap where it would normally come to a point, causing it to resemble a bird's beak. Within this gap, a fire burns permanently.
To compound the resemblance to a bird's beak, a ruby is embedded in the blade in such a position that it is reminiscent of a fiery eye.
Shikai Abilities:
On his command, Itō-Taichō can fire a blast of blazing energy from the "mouth" of the Akebonohtori.
Any wounds caused by Akebonohtori burst into flames; this fire can only be doused either at the command of Itō-Taichō, through a 4th Division member's healing, by reiatsu-enriched water, or lastly, by another shinigami who uses a water element zanpakutō, and whose reiatsu exceeds Itō-Taichō's.
While this fire does cauterize the wound, keeping his enemy from bleeding, and does not spread beyond the site of the wound itself, it is extraordinarily painful, and multiple injuries inflicted by Akebonohtori can wear down even the hardiest of foes. This ability can also be used on inanimate objects, and flammable objects such as paper and wood will ignite fully when specifically struck.
Akebonohtori can also cause injury without actually making contact, by issuing a high-powered blast of heat from the fire at its tip when swung. The enemy must still be within a foot of the blade.
Bankai:
When Keizen Akebonohtori (Radiant Dawn Phoenix) is released, the blade's physical form dissolves into fire, enveloping both of Itō-Taichō's arms and shoulders, and coursing across his back to form great, fiery feathered wings, which increase his speed substantially.
Itō-Taichō has discovered the different aspects of his bankai, giving Keizen Akebonohtori three forms. Their use is mutually exclusive, however, as he has not mastered it.
Kōshōhi (Fire Arsenal) - Itō-Taichō can manipulate fire, manifesting weapons of flame in one or both hands. These weapons can take any form Itō-Taichō so chooses, including blasts and streams of flame, and can vanish at his command. Kōshōhi is Keizen Akebonohtori's raw offensive form.
Senumo no Honō (Thousand Feathers of Fire) - A thousand blazing feathers spring from the wings formed by Keizen Akebonohtori, targeting his foe(s) with unerring accuracy. These feathers explode upon contact. Itō-Taichō cannot attack or defend while firing the feathers, although he can still attempt to dodge. Senumo no Honō is Keizen Akebonohtori's fully ranged form.
Ohtori Gusoku (Phoenix Armor) - Itō-Taichō can fully envelop his body in flames, surrounding him in the form of a phoenix. When using this ability, his defense is extraordinarily heightened. However, since he is concentrating the full might of the flames upon himself, his offensive abilities are limited to hand-to-hand only. Therefore, Ohtori Gusoku is Keizen Akebonohtori's pure defensive form.
Keizen Akebonohtori's default form is the Kōshōhi, and Itō-Taichō usually remains in this form to fight, as switching forms heavily saps his reiatsu.
Character Description:
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/4628/itoharukitq9.jpg
Itō-Taichō appears fairly young, no older than 32 years of age. He sports a shock of messy black hair which cascades down between his shoulder blades.
His features are delicate, but masculine, and very kind. Across his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose, a long, thin scar is present from some battle long past.
He is tall, but not overly so, at 5'11". He has a medium frame, and wiry, compact muscles.
Personality:
Itō-Taichō is often calm, and somewhat reserved, though always friendly. He enjoys teaching and mentoring, and holds regular, optional meetings where he trains and educates members of his own Division, as well as a handful of others who have gotten word of these sessions.
In part as a result of his exile (more below), Itō-Taichō has high regard for the laws of Soul Society, and as such, some shinigami chafe under his command, at least to begin with. He is unendingly patient, however, and will often sit and explain why the laws and rules are the way they are, and why they should be followed to the letter.
This has made him fairly popular among the more traditional, "old guard," of the Gotei 13, who view him as a return to the true and honored values of Soul Society and the Seireitei.
In fact, they even see his exile as a boon, as it has caused him to become a better, more responsible member of the Gotei 13 than ever before, which is exactly the reason such discipline exists in the first place. Itō-Taichō is a case-in-point example that the punishments laid out in Soul Society law do, in fact, work... At least, according to those shinigami in question.
Itō-Taichō is known for cutting loose on occasion, though he somehow manages to maintain his composure nonetheless. Only the members of his Division actually know that Itō-Taichō has an affinity for sake and good music, as he tries to present as professional a face as possible to the others of the Gotei 13.
History:
Itō Haruki was born in Rukongai, in a district that was considerably more dangerous than the safer areas, and yet far safer than the most violent districts.
His younger brother, Itō Nobuhiro, went into the family business of farming, but Haruki was determined to become a shinigami. He spent his days swinging a stick, teaching himself how to fight. Before long, he was fending off bandits, keeping them from pillaging his family's property.
One night, however, when he was an adolescent, out for a night of music and sake with his friends, he returned home to find his family's farmstead ablaze. Hearing the cries of his family within, he was struck with a frightening dilemma: he had to try and save his family, but the fire had grown so strong that it seemed likely he would just be burned alive with his parents and brother.
He waited for no more than several seconds, although to him they seemed like hours. Suddenly, he heard a voice calling to him, telling him that if he leaped into the heart of the blaze, he would be protected. Only later would he know that this voice belonged to Akebonohtori, the Dawn Phoenix, the second strongest fire zanpakutō in all of Soul Society, trumped only by the great Ryujinjakka.
With the aid of Akebonohtori's spirit, Itō managed to save both his mother, and his brother Nobuhiro, although it was too late for his father.
After that, Itō redoubled his efforts to become a shinigami, and was admitted to the Shinigami Academy within the year. He graduated at the top of his class, and within another fifty years, he was promoted to 3rd Seat of the 5th Division, under Hirako-Taichō.
Just over a century prior to the current Bleach storyline, Itō was visiting his family in Rukongai. His mother had passed away from illness, and his brother was tragically killed by bandits, so Itō had used his money and influence to move his brother's widow, Minako, and his nephew Yuichiro, to a safer district of Rukongai, closer to the Seireitei.
On this particular day, all seemed to be right with the world. That is, until returning from training the young Yuichiro, he found the 8th Seat of the 11th Division, Saitō Kashitarō, attempting to take food from Minako's fruit stand without paying. When Minako protested, Saitō struck her, and before he could do worse, Yuichiro stopped him with a shout.
What ensued was a tragedy, as Itō was forced to release his zanpakutō to keep the Saitō from killing his nephew, and in turn, Saitō himself was killed by Itō.
Commander-General Yamamoto recognized that Itō's actions were in defense of innocent lives, but he had no recourse save to issue punishment. However, he allowed Itō to get off lightly by Soul Society standards, stripping him of his rank, and banishing him to the furthest district of Rukongai for two hundred years.
In those centuries, Itō spent his days honing his shinigami skills, fighting bandits, defending the weak and defenseless. In this period of time, he achieved bankai, and helped train numerous shinigami hopefuls who dreamed of entering the Shinigami Academy.
Now, after his banishment has ended, Itō returned to the Seireitei.
Short Story: Fall of the Phoenix
The tale of Itō Haruki's exile
"Itō-san!"
From her place behind the fruit stand, Itō Minako waved emphatically, her beautiful face shining with delight.
As he reached the stand, Itō grinned despite himself. "I tell you every time Minako, call me Haruki." His eyes surveyed the produce, and soon enough he spotted a shining, bright red apple. He picked it up and looked to Minako. "Do you mind?"
"Oh, no, go ahead, Itō-san..." She trailed off under Itō's twinkling gaze. "I mean, Haruki."
"There you go," he said, taking a big bite of the apple. "You shouldn't feel the need to be so formal." He smiled again, wiping away a thin trickle of juice that dribbled down his chin.
"But it's so difficult," she said. "You're a seated officer, after all. Count your blessings I don't bow and call you Itō-sama every time you come by."
Itō burst into a hearty laugh. "That'll be the day."
"Oji-san! Oji-san!"
Itō raised an eyebrow, looking down the street to see his little nephew, Yuichiro, running towards him, his tiny hand raised in greeting. In the other hand, he grasped a bamboo stick, which he clutched proudly.
"Yuichiro-chan, I was wondering where you were," Itō said, and as he did, he tousled the boy's short, dark hair.
"Oji-san, oji-san, let's go train!" the boy said, tugging on Itō's kimono.
"Okay, as long as your mom doesn't mind." Itō glanced over at Minako. "Is it alright if I take him out to the field for a little while?"
Minako chuckled. "If I said, 'no,' I'd never hear the end of it."
"So izzat a, 'yes?'" Yuichiro asked, scrunching up his face.
"It's a yes, Ichi-chan," she said. "Just don't go too hard on your poor uncle."
"I won't! Promise!"
* * * * *
Whap! Yuichiro's bamboo stick rebounded off of Itō's forearm, which was raised to block the blow. Eyes closed, Itō seemed entirely unperturbed. "Again. Come at me again," he said.
Yuichiro furrowed his eyebrows in consternation, appraising his uncle's still form.
The two of them stood in an open field, surrounded by glittering emerald grass which swayed ever so slightly in the light breeze. Itō relaxed his posture, completely open, vulnerable to attack. His eyes remained shut tight.
Again, little Yuichiro swung his bamboo stick, this time towards Itō's midsection, and again Itō blocked the blow with his forearm.
"You're too fast," the boy complained.
Itō opened one eye, regarding Yuichiro with mirth. "Maybe you're too slow," he joked. His nephew, however, seemed less than pleased with this response, and let out a great sigh, exaggerating it as only a child can.
"Fine, fine," Itō said. "I won't make fun. Try one more time."
Yuichiro did so, and again Itō blocked it with ease. "I don't understand," Yuichiro said. "How come I can't hit you even with your eyes closed?"
Itō opened both eyes now, and sat down in the grass, motioning for his nephew to do the same. "It's your intent," he said. "Even with my eyes closed, I can feel your intent, where you are planning to strike me."
"So what do I do?" Yuichiro asked.
"When fighting, you can't let your mind do all the thinking. You have to teach your body to think, too." Itō took his forefinger and put it against his forehead. "If I use my mind and focus on where I want to attack, my opponent will feel my intention. On the other hand..."
Before Yuichiro knew it, Itō had reached out and tweaked his nose. "Ow," Yuichiro said, but his eyes sparkled with curiosity, not pain.
"You see, I let my body do the thinking. Rather than saying to myself, 'I think I'll touch your nose,' I simply told my body, 'Strike true,' and it did. You understand?"
Yuichiro bunched up his brows again, trying to wrap his young brain around the whole concept. "I... think so. But if I don't think, then how do I know if I'll hit the right spot or not?"
Itō smiled and rubbed Yuichiro's hair. "That's what training is for. You train and train until your mind no longer needs to think and your body instinctively knows when, where, and how to attack."
"I'm pretty sure I get it," Yuichiro said.
"Good. That's all I could ask for." Itō sighed, rising to his feet. He brushed the dust from his kimono. "Well, it's getting a little late. We should get back to your mom before she gets worried."
Yuichiro grinned, and nodded.

"Man, this is good!" exclaimed Saitō Kashitarō, 8th Seat of the 11th Division, as he chowed down on an apple.
Minako bowed humbly. "I'm glad you like it. Would you care for another?"
"You know it," Saitō said, grabbing a second one, his round, red, jowled face breaking into a wide grin. Crumbs of apple fell from his chin, striking his belly before their final descent to the ground below.
"Would you like to buy any to take home?" Minako asked, trying to put on her most cheerful smile.
Saitō squinted, his bushy eyebrows coming together to look like a long, ugly caterpillar. "Buy? Buy? I ain't buyin' lady, I'm takin'," he said, and with that, he grabbed half a dozen more apples in his ham-like fists.
"But, but... You can't," she said.
"And who's gonna stop me? You? Don't you know who I am, lady?"
"No, I don't," she said, her voice quivering. "But... Just put back the ones you haven't eaten and... And the ones you've already had are free."
"No way," Saitō said, and with that he turned to go.
Minako, however, reached out to grab Saitō's kimono. In an instant, Saitō spun around, dropping apples as he backhanded her across the face. "Nobody touches Saitō Kashitarō, 8th Seat of the 11th Division, and gets away with it. Nobody!" he shouted, his face turning crimson.
He stepped around the fruit stand, grabbing Minako by her shirt. "You know what happens to people who don't know their place in the 11th Division?"
Minako shook her head, eyes wide, shocked into numb silence.
"They die," Saitō said, and with that he withdrew his zanpakutō from its scabbard.
"Mom!" Before Itō could stop him, Yuichiro was racing down the street towards Saitō, bamboo stick raised.
Saitō turned and noticed the boy coming at him. "So you want some of Saitō Kashitarō too, huh? Bring it, kid," he said, leveling his zanpakutō at the approaching Yuichiro.
"Yuichiro, no!" Concentrating his reiatsu in his feet, Itō burst forward with shunpō. He scooped up Yuichiro with his left arm, while bringing Akebonohtori halfway out of its sheath to block Saitō's blow.
"Whaddya think you're doin'?" Saitō asked. "Can't you see I'm trying to teach these peasants a lesson?"
"Stand down," Itō said.
"Tch." Saitō took a step back, turned, and began to walk away, still holding apples in his free hand.
Itō walked over to Minako, who was still shaking. "Are you okay?"
She nodded. Then, suddenly, her eyes grew wide. Her mouth tried to form words, but couldn't, so instead she just pointed.
Itō whirled around to see Yuichiro land a blow with his bamboo stick against Saitō's side. "Give back my mother's apples!"
Saitō only chuckled, raising his zanpakutō to strike the boy down. "Don't start a fight you can't finish, kid," he said.
The next few seconds seemed to flow in slow motion. Itō watched in horror as Saitō brought his zanpakutō down towards his nephew's neck.
Before he knew what was happening, he had cleared Akebonohtori from its sheath. "Sasu, Akebonohtori!" A blast of fire erupted from his shikai's tip, hurtling down towards Saitō, tearing through his chest.
Saitō, blade still raised, looked suddenly confused, as if wondering why he no longer had the strength to strike. With a groan, he collapsed backwards.

Itō knelt, head down, facing the floor beneath him. He could feel the piercing gaze of Commander General Yamamoto-Genryūsai on the back of his neck, burning into him. The sensation was overpowering, a massive weight drowning him.
"Rise, Itō Haruki, 3rd Seat of the 5th Division," boomed Yamamoto.
Itō stood, his eyes rising to meet the Commander-General's. If a look could strike a man down, Yamamoto would be the master of such things. He glanced to the side, taking in Hirako-Taichō, who stood, arms folded, watching. A few feet back stood Aizen-Fukutaichō, observing coolly.
"We, the shinigami of Soul Society, have a duty," Yamamoto said. "We protect human souls and guide them here. To think that such duties become void when regarding souls who have already reached, or been born into Soul Society is both insufferable and greatly reprehensible. Acts of aggression by shinigami against the citizens of Rukongai should not, and will not be tolerated."
Yamamoto cleared his throat before going on. "However, all rules of Soul Society exist for a reason. While we understand that you acted only in the defense of an innocent life, you have violated peacetime law by releasing your zanpakutō in an unauthorized and dangerous manner, which has resulted in the unfortunate death of a fellow shinigami, a fellow seated officer. I have no recourse but to issue due punishment for this transgression."
Yamamoto raised a shaggy, white eyebrow at Shinji. "Hirako-Taichō, do you find your subordinate, Itō Haruki's punishment to be satisfactory?"
Shinji shrugged. "Hell, it's not like I can really argue, ya know?"
Yamamoto nodded, looking back to Itō. "By the power given to me as the Commander-General of the Gotei 13, and the consent of your commanding officer, Hirako-Taichō, you, Itō Haruki, are hereby stripped of your rank, and sentenced to exile from the Seireitei for a period of two centuries. Do you have anything to say?"
Itō shook his head sadly. "No, sir. I humbly accept my sentence."
Yamamoto inclined his head, then rapped the bottom of his cane against the floor, like a judge's gavel. "It is done."

Exiting the assembly room, Itō stared at the blue skies above.
"Oi, Haruki." Itō turned to see Shinji, and Aizen close behind him.
"Hirako-Taichō," Itō said, "I'm very sorry. I have failed you, and disgraced the 5th Division."
"Oh, come on, cut the crap," Shinji said. "Ya did the best you could, given the situation, and I sure as hell ain't gonna fault ya for it."
"If only I was stronger... I could've handled things differently."
"Quit yer moanin'. I expect you back here in two hundred years flat, ya got that?"
Itō paused, overcome with emotion. Finally, he bowed, in part out of respect, and in part to conceal the tears that threatened to fall from his eyes. "Y... yes, Hirako-Taichō!"
"And don't be late. I'll be waitin', Haruki."

Itō stood, looking east, the wind upon his face. With a sigh, he hoisted his pack on his shoulder, and began to walk.

Short Story #2: Kenpachi the Bandit-Killer
A tale of Itō Haruki and Zaraki Kenpachi
Grass turned to bare ground and gravel beneath Itō's feet as he entered the outskirts of Akechi, the 75th District of Rukongai. Vegetation was sparse, the air chill, and the setting sun illuminated only the bleakness of the place, the dull browns and greens, in stark contrast to blue skies and rich streaks of orange and red that stained the horizon.
The dirt beneath his sandals was an odd, almost-auburn color, giving the impression of caked blood, though Itō knew it was certainly from the clay quarries nearby. Children played in the streets, barefoot, their feet covered in the crimson dust. However, despite their ragged clothing, their soot covered bodies, they were cheerful, the kind of cheerful that comes only after a long rain of sadness.
As Itō made his way past the first ramshackle huts, he could hear the sounds of festivities echoing through the village. There were adults out and about too, mostly men, clutching jugs of sake as they chattered amongst each other and wobbled down the streets.
"Strange," Itō whispered to himself. The Akechi District was known to be one of the most dangerous, in the far reaches of Rukongai. This carefree atmosphere was the last thing he expected to see.
Passing by an inn, Itō's ears perked up at the cheering and carousing going on inside. It sounded like there was music playing, and with nothing better to do, he pulled back the curtain and entered.
* * * * *
Itō was immediately greeted by the warm, pungent scent of sweat and booze. Clearing his throat, he made his way down the aisle, dodging drunken, disorderly patrons who tripped and stumbled over themselves. There was a small stage towards the back, and a pretty young woman was playing the harp.
Itō found a seat at a mostly empty table. His only company was an old man, bald and wrinkled, smiling to himself as he sipped from a cup of sake and watched the musician.
"Excuse me," Itō said.
"Hm?" The old man turned to Itō, cupping a hand behind his ear. As he did, he noticed Itō's black kimono. "Hey sonny, you're one o' them shinigami now, aren'tcha?"
Itō nodded.
"Well, it's about time they sent someone, but you're too late, kid," the old man said with a chuckle.
"What do you mean?" Itō asked.
"You're here about them bandits, aren'tcha?"
"No, I'm-"
Before Itō could finish, the old man interrupted him. "Those bandits've already been taken care of, sonny. Can'tcha see from the grand old time we're having?" He grinned, revealing a handful of missing teeth, and took another sip from his sake.
Itō was silent for a moment. "So... who was it that took care of the bandits?"
"Why, Kenpachi the Bandit-Killer, of course!"
"Kenpachi? Is he a shinigami like me?"
The old man scoffed at this. "He's one of us! Kenpachi of Zaraki!"
No sooner than the words had left his mouth, Itō suddenly felt a massive, overpowering reiatsu, like a lion leaving its den. Immediately, his eyes were drawn to the stairs leading to the second floor. Something... terrible was coming.
Steps, descending, one by one. Even amongst all the noise, Itō swore he could hear them, thud, thud, thud. And then...
Itō's jaw dropped. A tiny, pink-haired girl appeared, coming down the stairs. Was this the one he'd felt?
No, he thought. That stifling reiatsu didn't belong to her. But then, who?
A moment later, he had his answer. It was a man, no... A monster. He stood at the top of the landing, his long, black hair hanging like a cloak of darkness behind him. A thin scar ran down from his left eye, a warrior's badge of honor. In his right hand, he grasped a long blade wrapped in cloth.
"Hey!" the man said, though it seemed as if he'd shouted, for the whole inn fell silent. "You wanna keep it down, I'm trying to get some sleep!"
The inn's proprietress, a middle-aged woman in a flowered kimono, bowed humbly. "Of course, Zaraki-sama."
Just then, there were shouts from outside. A moment later, a man stumbled in, clutching his shoulder, where a large gash stained his shirt red with blood. "They're back," he cried. "The Black Blade Gang, they've returned!"
A unanimous wail went up from the people in the inn, save for the man called Zaraki Kenpachi, who broke into a grin. "Now we're talking," he said, taking the rest of the steps two at a time.
A drunken patron threw himself at Zaraki's feet. "Save us, save us, Zaraki-sama!"
"Tch," Zaraki said, knocking him out of the way with his foot. "I've told ya a hundred times, I don't care about you or your stinkin' village. I'm just looking for a good fight."
"Yeah, Ken-chan wants a good fight," repeated the pink-haired girl, then she leaped up on Zaraki's shoulder as nimbly as a cat. Without another word, the two of them went to the exit and disappeared outside.
"What's going on?" Itō asked the old man beside him.
"The bandits are back," he said. "But don't worry, Zaraki Kenpachi will take care of them, without a doubt!"
Itō sighed and got up from the table. "I'm going to see what's happening out there."
The old man grabbed his kimono. "Wait, it's too dangerous outside, sonny. You'll only get in Zaraki-sama's way!"
Itō gestured at his zanpakutō. "I'm a shinigami, remember? You don't need to worry about me, I can take care of myself."
* * * * *
Itō ducked, fast. As soon as he'd pulled aside the hanging cloth leading into the inn, a body had come hurtling through the air, and now it crashed against the floor behind him, inside.
"Next," said Zaraki. He was standing the middle of the street, the pink-haired girl still perched on his shoulder. On all sides were a circle of angry bandits in black bandanas, their weapons drawn.
"Ahhhhh!" Sword held high, a heavyset bandit charged Zaraki.
Itō watched, waiting to see how well this beast of a man could fight, but he showed no signs of dodging or blocking the attack, even moving at all. "Hey, look out!" Itō yelled.
Whoosh! The bandit brought the blade down across Zaraki's chest. Itō waited for the blossom of blood against the man's shirt, but instead, it was the bandit's hand that bled.
Zaraki burst into horrible laughter. "What, you thought you had me, huh? You can't even scratch my skin with a blow like that!"
The terrified bandit stepped back, eyes wide. The sword fell from his hand, into the dirt.
"Lost your will to fight?" Zaraki asked. "Well that's too bad, I guess you're of no use to me anymore." He backhanded the bandit across the face, sending him flying into a group of his comrades. "Come on, any more takers?"
"What are you waiting for, you bastards?" The crowd of bandits parted in the center, revealing a small, thin man, dressed all in black, including a large cowl that covered the bottom of his face. Strapped to his back was a massive, black claymore. At his side was a giant, bald, muscular man, who could only be the smaller man's bodyguard.
"K... Kuro-sama," one of the bandits stammered. "But he's... he's too strong!"
"Silence," Kuro said, and in a flash he had swung his huge sword one-handed, slicing the poor bandit across the chest. The man collapsed in a growing pool of blood, dead before he hit the ground.
Zaraki laughed. "That's no way to treat your subordinates, don't you think?"
"You hardly seem the type to criticize," Kuro responded, a hint of mirth in his voice. "I can tell, we're cut from the same cloth, you and I. You have every bit as much blood on your hands as I do." He paused for a moment to wipe his sword on the bandit's corpse, then he replaced it across his back. He stepped towards Zaraki, showing his open hands. "Why not join me? Money, women, endless battles, you can have whatever you want."
"Heh, endless battles, that sounds tempting." Zaraki sighed. "But there's one small problem... I don't work for nobody."
Kuro shrugged. "And here I thought my offer was too generous to pass up. Oh well. Take him out boys!" Kuro brought out his sword again, leveling it at Zaraki.
Galvanized by their leader, the bandits burst into action as a single unit, rushing towards the seemingly vulnerable Zaraki Kenpachi, who loosened his blade from its cloth to reveal... a zanpakutō!
Itō didn't know who this man calling himself, "Kenpachi," was, but he knew he had to help him. Clearing Akebonohtori from its sheath, he burst into action.
There were bandits all around him, and as soon as they realized Itō was not one of their own, they turned on him as well. Itō sidestepped a strike, ducked a slice by a second man meant to decapitate him, then blocked a third with his sword.
He twisted, spun low, bringing Akebonohtori in an arc around him, slicing open thighs and cracking kneecaps.
As the injured bandits fell back, more poured in around Itō. He found himself weaving through a sea of blades which, luckily for him, were swung with more rage than skill, making it a simple task to predict and evade their movements.
He blocked another blade high, then lashed out with his foot to catch the attacker in his unguarded stomach.
"Oof," the man said, falling back. But then, suddenly, he was falling forward, a shower of blood bursting from his back.
Zaraki was there, staring straight at Itō. Without a moment's hesitation, the man swung.
Clang! Zaraki's sword resounded against Akebonohtori. Itō's hand ached from blocking the blow, and soon he had to bring his other hand up to support it. "Hey, didn't you see I'm trying to help?" he said, through gritted teeth.
"Actually, I hadn't noticed," Zaraki said, and with that, he swung his sword a second time.
Itō blocked again, though this time he was driven back a solid foot from the impact. "I'm not your enemy!" he yelled.
"Yeah, so? You gonna fight me or not?" Zaraki raised the blade a third time.
"Hey, watch out!" It was too late. A bandit behind Zaraki had driven his blade into the man's back.
"Oh?" Zaraki said, eyebrow raised. He turned nonchalantly to face the new combatant, and Itō was stunned to see that the bandit's sword still protruded from Zaraki's back.
* * * * *
"Hey, that wasn't too shabby."
Itō was bent over, panting with exertion, when he heard Zaraki's voice. Bodies of bandits littered the ground all around them, most of them still breathing, even groaning in pain. A few
