SOULs released in English by Viz

It was brought to my attention by bleachship (yes, it is a member here) that Viz is translating SOULs (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1421520532/ref=pd_cp_b_1?pf_rd_p=317711001&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000RKX5X2&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=03EYNXY7DPNSTEB4WYQT), one of the two Bleach databooks. Since it might interest people, I thought I'd share the info :)

Yeah this is really great, no one has scanlated it and it's been around for so long, it will be nice to have it in English :)

Well, there's a lot to be translated, so it's not surprising that it will take them a while. But it's good to know that it's coming to english-readers, at least :)
A lot of us thought it'd never come out :D

Does any one know why this (SOULs) hasn't been scanlated yet? That really surprises me, usually fans are so quick about it. Has it even been translated?

What about All Colour But The Black? That surprises me as well; and it looks like it hasn't been released yet in English either, perhaps we'll get it when we get SOULs also.

One more question, doesn't SOULs have a counterpart...VIBEs or something? What is different about VIBEs, if SOULs has all of this information?

I think Ju-Ni has scanlated it before.

Ju-Ni began it a long time ago, but it has never been their priority. It's really filled with tiny text, very hard to translate. There are a lot of information and comments on the scenes up until the end of the SS arc + informations on how SS works. So it's a huge, huge work.

All colour but the Black has been entirely scanlated and translated by Ju-Ni too.

And yes, SOULs does have a counterpart, VIBEs. There is no hint of it for now, hopefully they'll start it once they'll finish SOULs :) VIBEs is anime-based.

This good news, i will be buying it. I hope its not expensive. How much does the databook cover. Does it go right up to the end of Soul Society arc?

So SOULs contains information and commentary on the SS Arc, as well as details about the inner workings of SS.

If that's the case, what kind of information does VIBEs contain to set it apart from SOULs?

VIBEs contain anime and animation related things during the SS arc, or thats what i heard.

If they are doing SOULs then VIBEs must be coming next

I just bought the Souls Databook in Chinese...for $10...And since Chinese is my weakest subject, I can barely read it...It being in OLD Chinese doesn't help...

And now you tell me it's been released in English...
I'm gonna sell my Chinese copy and buy the English one! :yell

Well, nice that those two are being released I was wondering some time ago when they were going to release any Bleach stuff. It would be good for them to do the other part as well. I cannot remember what each consisted of though. The originals were in hardcover though weren't they?

I like the dark haired cover much better than the lightened one on the Viz version. He looks hotter in the original even if his hair appears blood red instead of orange...Could just be me.

I'm just glad that this should finally put an end to the Zaraki Kenpachi shikai/no shikai debate. A lot of fans I've come across either didn't know that SOULs said he had shikai, or didn't believe it because there was no official translation.

Yeah i was going to post this i saw it on amazon and ordered it. Will be a nice addition because its a hard book to translate and it will be good because the VIZ manga's are pretty accurate and contain even the Japanese words with a little translation stared at the bottom so yeah. Shame theres no idea for VIBES yet but there times i guess.
