Alright ladies and gents, these are my first attempts at making a sig.
Though I'm proud of them, I still feel like they're missing something...

CnC please - take no prisoners. Feel free to tear it up.
If I'm to improve, I need to know the truth.
EDIT::headscratch For some reason there appears to be a white line on the left side of the two on the bottom...but when I pull them up in Photoshop, there are no lines!
THE CAKE IS A LIE?!

I guess I'll be the first to comment. For the sigs you made me I like the first one the best...noticeable since that's the one I'm using. The way you work the light from the ball to almost match up to the light reflecting off Ky's jacket on the far left is quite good.
As for your Vergil sigs. Even though I told before I thought the first one was "too light" I'll have to disagree with myself and say I like it the most as far as background graphics go. Your V3 has better arrangement and pics, but the back-ground is more noticeably lacking as a result of your placement.

I think you need to work on the text you use
Stroke is overdone i think 1 or 2 px stroke would look better i think
I see you're a fon of using Bevel and Emboss doens't really look good to me idk why o_o
And you should try something else rather than adding glow effect on the render :p
You got potential

Yeah, I agree. I'm still playing around with all of the filters and layer effects though, and keep in mind I haven't taken any tutorials either. :p
@Stroke - Yeah, I'll tone down on the stroke for the text.
Thanks guys.

No no! Not at all. In fact, the more honest you are the better!
As I said, if I'm to learn and improve, I need to know where I'm weakest.
Tear it up!

Not sure. Unfortunately I'm at work so I don't have Photoshop at my disposal at the moment. :(
I'll definitely have to take a look when I get home, though.

1st tag, V1: I really like that texture you added on the background :)

I would like to say... you're not weak at this, you just need to improve in some detail but as it was already said, you have potential :p
I know that I've told you about the standar size for a tag, but also you can try using different sizes, so you won't have the feeling that there's too many empty areas.
I recommend you to start looking for some CD4's renders and play with them and filters, that will give you some idea on how to create different effects and is good when you're just starting at gfxing. Also, this helps on the background but also will help you with the blending of the stocks. In general, I think you know enough about the basics, for example, you never placed the render on the center of the tag, which is a common mistake somtimes, so that is good. Plus, you did good on the conbination of colors :D
and oh! I really like how the 3rd tags looks :)

Yes, please teach DS ALL that you know, so he in kind can teach me!
But yeah I think the old saying practice makes perfect comes into play here. Keep fiddling around and you'll become awesome at this.

Well, the sig you currently see in my avatar is the final result of my work.
I'M NOT MESSING WITH IT ANYMORE! :zomg
If I tweak it anymore I'll go nuts!
I need to start working on something fresh...
And thanks for the comments guys, any tips/hints are greatly appreciated.
