Regarding "Reporting Posts", I've noticed that I run into a "Cooldown" bit if I try to report more than 1 post per minute. Any chance we can get that removed or reduced? And while on the subject of reporting posts, is there a way to set things up so that if a post has already been reported, it'll notify us if we try to report it again? It should cut down on multiple reports, assuming this doesn't already happen.
I can't see the name of the person who gave me rep. Or is it a new anonymous system now?

I already asked that in the mod-section. We will let everyone know if we can change it :)
@Tao: This is being worked on, I assume thats still a bug, we'll look into it asap :)

Your oversized signature offended Charlotte Coolhorn
Please shrink your signature according to our Forum FAQ (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?4-Forum-FAQ&p=5#post5)
If you have trouble getting the size right please stop by here: Request Graphics (http://bleachasylum.com/forumdisplay.php?44-Request-Graphics)
better shrink your signatures so it matches those limits:

Pictures as big as this need to be hosted on a site like Photobucket or Imageshack & then inserted using the BB-Code for sigs.
It would burst BA's webspace if we would save each and every file above 1 MB so only external linking allowed in this case.

I have a question:
How does one get rejected to join BA? Someone I invited registered but couldn't post. Then when I suggested for her to PM a mod she told me she was rejected. She said she's never heard of BA until now.... :( But at least she's not making a fuss over it. :)

Here is your answer:
http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?14-ATTENTION-new-users-moderation-needed-before-posting&p=3851&viewfull=1#post3851
The "Users Awaiting Moderation" list is cleared out regularly every couple of days. This is to keep as many bots as possible out of the system. All users who are awaiting moderation still are either approved or denied. Users who PM an admin/mod or go through the steps to be approved, will be approved for sure. But users who have not, MIGHT be denied based on the admins decision at the time. So the lesson here is, don't wait to be approved, especially if you have a bot-ish name or email. :D

Afaik normal users can't change it once it is created (but you can try editing your first post).
If it doesn't work drop a staff-member a note and we'll change it.

I just realized my sig on my profile page that I had a big guilt for uploading oversize signature, hope every one forgive my mistakes. :(
I didn't know that since I did off to show the signatures in my settings on the control panel, and since that time i don't know about my sig being changed by mods, thanks for reminding me, I promise that I will not do the same again. Really sorry. So I changed and re-sized my sig with a small one. :)

No prob, no one is mad nor will anyone get a warning, ban or infraction points for the wrong size. I just coolhorn too big sigs when I see them as a reminder (the old coolhorn pic was better though - Coolhorn full body mangapage lmao).
I made an announcement a while back about when I start to coolhorn sigs & gave people enough time to change it.

We'll look into it.
Though if you want it to be of high quality you should link it from a hoster anyway because BA converts it into gif (aka loss of quality).
When linking from an extrnal source there isn't any restriction.
Update: It is now possible to upload pictures with a size of 550 X 350

I tried to put a picture as my profile background, but when I pressed "submit", this message appeared:
"To use the asset picker you need to have a publicly accessible album with at least one image in it. Please create such an album if you want to select an image. You can still enter an image location in..."
For some reason the message appeared in a box at the bottom of my screen and no matter what I did it was stuck there (that's why I couldn't read the rest of it)... So, any solutions on how to either move the box or unfreeze the panel (it seems the only thing I can do at that point is close the tab and open another BA one)?

^^ The "unreachable box" seems to be a problem on most vBulletin sites I've been to.
I tried it myself, and I can't even paste the URL to a picture into the image picker for profile backgrounds.
There may be some tweaking going on.

Lols I had this problem. To fix it (temporarily) I just minimize the general size of the browser (e.g. Firefox use ctrl-"-"(minus) in windows (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/font-size-and-zoom-increase-size-of-web-pages#os=winxp&browser=fx20)) and it should make the whole "hidden/inaccessible" box reachable and viewable. I'm not 100% sure, but there should be similar functions for other browsers

Sometimes it comes up, when Kurogasa deletes a post, his name is displayed; well it has sometimes before.
Maybe you can do a few tests in the spam section or something?

I'm asking for member opinions only because mods can see things that members can't.
But can you tell by looking on this page, for example, who deleted posts on it? If not, I might ask about it.

All registered users are globally set to be able to see deletion notices. So, an issue with the names showing, is probably with a specific moderator user group. Will look into it.
I can't see who mod-ed those posts either. I recall (perhaps on BA Version1?) "This post has been deleted by <name of mod>"
This applies to all posts deleted in the current chapter thread that I presume is made by different mods. Granted, I am using Mozilla Firefox at work so maybe there are limitations but I am not sure how related to this to the current browser and whatever limitations my work set to my browsing. I'll doublecheck when I get home using Chrome.

No, after testing it, seems to be everywhere, shouldnt matter the browser. Has it been like that since we rebooted in March?
This is what it looks like for all mods:

I know before in the old BA, it looked like that for everyone minus the Manage and View Post. So we were pretty unaware this was even an issue. Will keep looking into it. We always want users to be able to directly contact who deleted their posts. Not sure if it can go back though.

I wasn't sure this was an issue.
But since I'm a registered moderator of the Bleach section I see deletion notices ONLY in the Bleach section but not in other sections of the site so basically the issue is if YOU are a moderator of a section you can see the deletion notices (including who deleted those posts) but if you are not then you can't.

That is rather odd. I can see that it says it was deleted by Otome-san. Since both are Super Moderators, their general settings should be the same. Maybe it has something to do with how it's deleted. Will keep looking into it. Thanks for the assistance.
Update: Looks like its not really how its deleted... I undeleted them both and deleted them in different ways and the result is still the same. Frustrating.

All normal users are in the same registered user group. So, there shouldn't be any difference between what everyone sees, for each user group.

Hmmmmm. Nope, the second ones are all Otome-sans deleted posts again. I'll check out Otome's specific settings. Also, my own, because my name doesn't show up sometimes either. But it did when i deleted silver's link, so I dunno..
OK. On the first Link that Herakles mentioned, I can see that Kurogasa moderated that comment
This message has been deleted by Kurogasa.
Reason
Not the appropriate thread.
However, the subsequent posts downstream of that post on the same page itself have no markings of who moderated them.
Reason
Off topic, take it to it's appropriate thread
As for the link that I helped Herakles to find, I cannot see who moderated those posts. I can only read the moderation remark.
Reason
Fan clubs are the appropriate place for this discussion.
I don't know if BA Contributors are clubbed with regular users or not; plus my rep level is fairly decent (around 670 I reckon), so I hope any input from my end helps to address this issue.

I noticed that although the name of the moderator who deleted doesn`t appear, the comment he or she wrote does.
Maybe this is a stupid question but why does a moderator not just write down his name by hand if the automatic function is not working?
It has been a while since a posting I wrote got deleted. But if it happens I would like to know who did it and who I can contact because of it.

Hold that thought Belias.
Here's something again, since you mentioned that you changed the Kaoru post I gave you; I can see this time that its changed to Belias, and the bottom deleted post is still blank. I'd guess it is how it was done, like the delete post had a boolean flag to show/not show the deleter maybe? (It depends how you juggled that post around though)
Kaoru turned Belias' deletion post (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?694-Bleach-536-quot-Everything-But-The-Rain-Op-9-June-Truth-quot-spoilers-and-discussion&p=38066&viewfull=1#post38066)

Well, the one you originally linked silverquord is now visible as Belias. So perhaps it rests in HOW something is deleted?
Maybe there is a problem with the "soft delete" function?
Belias
05-16-2013, 06:34 AM
@Haddrell, we have already considered leaving our names in the reason section, but it's an issue that I'd rather have fixed, then to try and deal with it. Plus, don't forget, for us, we see our own names there after we delete, so it's something that slips our mind.
@Silver, I am thinking you are right about it being something hardwired into the server. Even though I deleted both those posts you posted, on one you can see my name while on the other you can't. Outside of mods and admins, it should look like that for everyone. Please only post if it looks different then that for you. :D
@Hera, I'm not sure if it has to do with how its deleted. I have a regular account I can access and I tested all the different soft delete functions on both those posts. All the times resulted in the top being able to see it was deleted by me and the bottom not being able to. I'm still checking many other forums to see if anyone has encountered anything similar.
