Blood had stained her eyes,
Shaking and striken with fear
Shadows and fear; hypnotize
Worrying if soon what she holds dear

Will forever be lost in a moment
Always looking over her shoulder
Torment, sickness, vehement
She feels for herself, as her children grow older

Tears well up in her empty eyes,
Laying in bed, staring and crying
Watching the lonely sun rise
Always justifying, always lying

It was on her hands
Jealousy had possessed her
Suffering her reprimands
Unhappily ever after

here goes my 'analysis' >.>

hmm, is this about a depressed single mother?
Worrying if soon what she holds dear
Will forever be lost in a moment
i think this might be referring to her children, or her own life?

Torment, sickness, vehement
She feels for herself, as her children grow older
i think this one is like she's dying ... as her children grow. and she keeps it to herself/

Always justifying, always lying
i'm familiar with this tho lol. some ppl who did wrong in life ended up justifying their past actions, so they wont feel remorse. in a way, they are actually lying to themselves. coz truth hurts.

It was on her hands
Jealousy had possessed her
Suffering her reprimands
Unhappily ever after
is she jealous of the life that she couldnt have? or was it 'someone'...

mysterious poem lol. >.> the rhyme scheme is just nice (abab), had fun while reciting it~

yea, with the rhyme scheme i was bored and didnt feel like being as creative X3

you got a lot of good clues from all of it... but I guess I might have made this one a bit "too" vague ;x actually it was meant to be that she had killed her husband when he cheated on her to protect her kids from going through the divorce, and had to see her children grow up without a father and live with the regret and loneliness~

Nice one, Luhy. I like the first line. It seems to be the darkest part here. Then, she gets back to her sense and regrets what she's done.

Oh wow, I love it. Very powerful and dark with lush imagery and language. Very sad too, you've struck a nerve, it's always awesome to read poems that have emotions and feelings that linger in the reader's mind even after the initial reading has been completed.

I agree Tsubasa ^^ poems with double meanings, create emotional connection, affect your mood, or leave you analyzing it, are always the best... if they can't do one of those, it's as if you were reading the nutrional facts on a cereal box in my opinion :devastated lol

XP thanks Luv :o
