Have your pets done anything stupid? Tell all.
I have decided to open this topic because currently my bird is eating an icecube O_O. He just took it out of my brothers Glass and is eating it. Hes crazy.

lmao @ the bird.
Yeah my dog Gomez thinks he's a seal. He bounces a ball on his nose and can balance it there for ages. He does it when he is trying to get your attention so if you give him some he won't do it.

Well... hmmm my cats a bit weird and seems to enjoy stealing my pillows in the middle of the night but not before using my head as a pin cushion and trying to eat my hair. Also she is in season at the moment so she is forever meowing and trying to attract male cats to the window :/

let's see.. whenever somebody is excited my dog humps their leg or any other available bodypart...
Today i walked 3 feet toward my cat's direction while he was looking at me and then he just flipped and ran into the cupboard.. He also seems to enjoy jumping into my lap whenever i'm wearing black..-_- white hairs on black aint cool...
Currently he is chewing through my headset. When bored.. the dog plays dead... he lays on his back, tongue out on the side eyes pop out big...
Wow ~ that's a neat trick Gomez does ^^
My cat has an identity crisis I think ... he likes chewing on stuff like shoelaces, clothings, electrical cords, toys ... etc. He not only chews on them, but actually eats them, and his fav' is plastic bags!!! Maybe my dog taught him this little trick o.O? It's a problem I've yet to find a solution with, and it has costed me alot on vet bills :(
Another 'trick' my cat does is washing his face with dripping water from the faucet of our bathtub. He does it every morning ^^ He'll wet his paw with water, and start cleaning his face with it. If the faucet is not dripping, then he'll wet his paw in his drinking water and do the same. We keep his water bowl beside the bathroom, and one time he moved the bowl to the middle of the entrance to the bathroom .... guess who woke up sleepy and not looking at what she was stepping on, and went crashing into the toilet ^^;
Aaah ... many tales I have with a naughty cat named ~ Rex!!! XD

Hmm Jaws, you could try spreading some hot sauce on your cat's favourite 'chew toys'. XD They usually get the picture pretty fast, though I don't know if it'll stop them from chewing on something new. o_O
My dog is ... really lazy. :D After her bath, she refuses to shake the water off. She expects me to towel wipe her dry, and she runs at me (with the towel) while dripping wet. ^^; My dog also loves bread or any other kind of bread-like food. She even followed me upstairs when I was eating a steamed bun. >_>
And whenever her water bowl is empty, she bangs it around for a refill. Yeah, she's kind of a demanding dog, but I can't help but follow her 'orders' anyway. :p

LOL at Gomez.
Jaws: Sounds like my bird it eats odd things like icecubes O_O
My bird screams if he wants food as well.
I used to have a rabbit that would chase me for like no reason when i as little was odd.

hmmm ... hot sauce eh? I'll try that actually ( on plastics and stuff ), can't do that on my clothes or shoes, I'll smell weird walking around XD
Thanks for the suggestion ^^

My dogs when no one is looking will raid the raspberry bushes we have outside and then chase eachother around the pool in the backyard.
Then my one bird just loves swinging upside down and playing with his toys while the other one will just sit and watch.
@frosted: you should try this one product called "bitter apple" tastes horrible.

oow interesting to read all of these stories about animals!
I once had a hamster who ate plastic tubing (hamster toys) and ofcourse..died a few months later.
My late dwarfhamster Yinxey was crazy as hell too (yes, yes..I had lots of 'emXD). She loved standing behind the tredmill and play with it. she also loved to play acrobat in the middle of the day. she climbed up the top of the wired cage and use only her front legs to move to the other side, most of the time she fell down before she could reach the end and then 'happily' started all over again. I think it was a cry for attentionXD Also sometimes in the middle of the night she started making circles on the cage..which is almost impossible. gah..I wuv hamsters:D
my first dwarf hamster Marilyn snug out of the cage many nights using the tredmill and the lid of the cage..which I always locked and taped..but ofcourse that didn't help and she'd roam around the house night after night.
talking about eating weird stuff..my newest addition named Jack loves cheese (hey..weirdXD) donuts..err..I didn't give him that! salami and ham..he's soo in love with meat..he can't get enough of it..well..when I stop giving him that he must:D
yeah...talking about 'serving' your pet. Blue was pretty stubborn when it came to 'snacks'. she loved sunflower seeds but refused to eat them..only if I removed it from it's layer, hehehe it was sweet though. hahah once you do something they immediately get a neck for manipulating;D

Thanks for the suggestion ^^ No problem. ;) LOL actually my dog didn't chew things (though she did take things and make us chase her -_-; ). The hot sauce trick came from weening my cousin from her pacifier. :D

@frosted: you should try this one product called "bitter apple" tastes horrible. Ooh, my dog does the same thing! Except we have a cherry tree outside, and she likes to pluck cherries from low-hanging branches when they're in season. :D She also likes me to toss her cherries from higher up, but she'd eat them from the ground too. :X
My dog used to take my dad's sweaty socks and used tissue paper. I dunno how well 'bitter apple' would work on her, ew! XD

My late dog rosebud was a toy dog and did several entertaining things.
She was able to run side ways, and on an angle very well, she wasn't able to run straight too well :D
She would also run around in circles and bark when ever somebody left the house.
She was always scared of stuff, and she would commonly run under the couch or chair and bark at you. So you would walk in a room and have a high pitched bark coming from the couch.
And her most entertaining quality, she would have sex with her toys. She was a toy dog less than 4kg and most of her toys were left over from our late Dalmatian Doctor so they were only a little smaller than her. So every few months she would wrap her front paws around her toys and hump them till her hearts content.

My sister's pug MJ barks at the most random things. One time he barked at a pug calendar on the wall, and he barked at a Dora the Explorer sprinkler head.
The other dog, Pogi, likes to steal socks and will even try to remove socks still attached to the foot O_O

My brothers lizards thinks its a world champion swing rope climber at the minute. With the tank and the conditions its supposed to live in we have to have this like heat mat for him and some of the wire is in the tank. So everyday you look and he is trying to climb this rope. I don't know what hes hoping to achieve but all he does is trys to get up but because theres no grip on his hands and feet they just slide. He keeps trying thinking he will eventually reach the rope. It's crazy.
Gah why do I always end up with insane pets?
lets see all my pets antics:headscratch
My oldest dog: he loves to look out my bedroom window, and he'll bark at me in any room of the house to go open my blinds so he can see outside
My other dog: he knows the names of his three favorite toys, and if you say go get *name of toy* he'll run to wherever it is in the house and play with it
My sisters dog, that i take care of: bites me when i walk, i hate that dog:mad:
My sisters other dog, that i take care of: is just all around goofy, everything he does is hilarious. When hes hungry he picks up his food bowl and carries it around wherever he goes
My sisters bunny, that i take care of: will growl at you if you walk by him without giving him attention.
lets see all my pets antics:headscratch ....
My oldest dog: he loves to look out my bedroom window, and he'll bark at me in any room of the house to go open my blinds so he can see outside
I see that you have been well trained by your dog :p
My other dog: he knows the names of his three favorite toys, and if you say go get *name of toy* he'll run to wherever it is in the house and play with it
Now that's a smart dog  ... does he bring the toy back to you?
My sisters dog, that i take care of: bites me when i walk, i hate that dog:mad:
lol ... maybe you've wronged him in a previous life :p
My sisters other dog, that i take care of: is just all around goofy, everything he does is hilarious. When hes hungry he picks up his food bowl and carries it around wherever he goes
My sisters bunny, that i take care of: will growl at you if you walk by him without giving him attention.
Awesome pets, but how come it's you who are taking care of them!?
One of my cats have a nasty personality, he's always bullying his sister! Just last night, when he saw her eating, he chased her away and hogged the whole food bowl. A few minutes later I heard some weird 'hicks' coming from him, and sure enough the darn thing was having hickups!!! I've never seen a cat having hickups ... must have been gobbling food down like mad so the other cat doesn't get any!!! Serves him right for being a big bully!!!
emo- pets tend to take after their owners:p maybe thats the reason all your pets are crazy:D and that lizard sounds hilarious
Jaws- I take care of them because my sister and her husband don't:p
and I've never heard of a cat with the hickups either, it sounds like that would be hilarious though

My cat is very hyper right now, she's runny around the house like she's on meth or something lol
My cat is also fascinated by fire she just stares at, we have to keep the fire place closed out of fear that she might try to attack it.

LOL, everybody's got such awesome/crazy pets! :)
I had a rabbit a few years back who had this weird habit of bopping people on the rear end with his head if he caught them squatting. We'd let him out to romp while we gardened, and inevitably he'd sneak up on someone squatting and headbutt them before scampering off. I never did figure out exactly why he was doing that...

Lol, my Jack is being nuts since a few weeks!
He got real skinny and his hair/fur was getting alot lighter (he's a dwarf hamster btw<333333333) the first time one of my hamsters got something like a winter coat! he has some darker spots on his coat aswell but it just looks random and weird. Perhaps it happened because when we had the Christmas tree we had to move him to a different spot and now he sits in a corner under a big window....but it's alot darker there than at his usual spot, in the middle of the room. But the funny thing is, he's soooo hyper! Usually he's already up at 5/6 pm and making sure that I know he's awake as well. as soon as I go to his cage and open it he literally jumps on my hand<3333333 and stays hyper. I usually calm him down a little with some cheese, he loves that, or some meat.
dwarf hamsters for the win<333333333
still i don't get why he's still so skinny, usually he's skinny and then puts on more grams of 'fat'. I don't like him this skinny...poor Jack. He needs to go back to his usual fat self, when I just got him:love

When I was 18, I had two baby turtles. One day, one of them escaped from its glass basin when I was attending classes. When I arrived home, my housemate told me she came out of the kitchen to see it plunging to its death from the balcony of our apartment (we were 12 floors up). :cry :cry
We had no place to bury it, so we put it in an instant noodle wrapper, tied it with white ribbon, walked 15 mins to the nearest river near the train station and dropped it over the bridge.
:ohh
