What do you want from "EBtR"?

I am mostly excited about Everything But the Rain not because of its focus (how Isshin and Masaki met each other) but because of everything else that can happen based on when this flashback takes place (around 20 years ago).

Hueco Mundo is always my focus, but judging from Tousen's looks, this happened before Aizen attacked Baraggan. Not much I can expect in terms of Arrancar, then, as probably most of Aizen allies came after Baraggan.


Those are the things I really want to see here:

- Grimmjow joning Aizen since it's very likely his group was the first to enter Aizen's army (my main interest, but very unlikely at this point based on Kubo's interview in Germany last week).
- Szayelaporro and the identities of the bodies in his lab.
- Ginjou, his Shikai and his connection to Isshin.
- How Kuukaku lost her arm.
- Mayuri being responsible for the deaths of Masaki parents and her death as well (this one is very unlikely now, as Aizen will probably be the one behind her death)
- Aizen's Bankai.

Yeah, I hope this flashback will be long. And what about you? What are you expecting/wanting from this new TBtP?

Character-wise, I'm just hoping for some Isshin-Ryuuken bromance. It's a one-sided affair, but it's a bromance all the same. Would personally love to see how they got this way, along with more moments with them.

Did they fight/compete with each other twice as much as Ichigo and Uryuu do now?

Did they bond and become close before, during, or after Masaki's death?

How did they deal with the hordes of fangirls chasing them down once they started going everywhere together? And on a similar note, how many death threats did Masaki get from jealous, rabid females who wanted her place in between that nice, hunky sandwich?

What I'd most like at the moment is something to clearly establish where in the timeline we are. "Within the last fifty years" isn't precise enough for my liking.

Besides that though, some glimpses of HM would be lovely. Plotting to "visit" Baraggan perhaps, or Aizen making contact with Grimmjow. I presume he didn't just walk in and say "You will join me" -- or did he? How much collateral damage was involved?

Unfortunatelly, Kubo said in Germany that showing Grimmjow past days was something he wanted to show but didn't had time. So, unless he is trolling, I believe we'll not see it in this flashback.

It kinda points to it being shown someday, though.

Well, the only thing I ask is to see is Engetsu's Bankai form, and Masaki's weapon and fighting style. For the rest, the manga is providing me everything I wanted to know, and I'm sure there's still more to come

I want to see Engetsu's true power, basically it's "Final Getsuga Tensho". If I remember correctly Isshin said he lost his Shinigami powers after using such a technique, much like what happened to Ichigo after he did the FGT.

What I'm most curious to see is how Masaki truly died. Ever since she was revealed to have been a Quincy, it doesn't make sense for a low ranked hollow like the Grand Fisher to have killed her. Did she lose her powers after a Leitz Stil (sp?) Or was the whole thing a lie and was her death somehow connected to the Vandenreich?
