View Full Version : Seirei No Moribito (Guardian of the Sacred Spirit)
Here's a newer anime that has recently started being released, with 12 episodes released out of 26. It's an action & adventure that's actually really good from what I've seen. It has amazing action that could keep you onto the edge of your seat, and an interesting story to listen to. So far I like it, and it's being subbed by the great Anime-Kraze: http://www.anime-kraze.org/ It's avaliable on BT.

EDIT: Its been licensed by Geneon Entertainment the link is here (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=6634) ( scroll to the bottom )
I loved the feel of this anime I love fantasy based samurai genres. Balsa reminds me of Saya from Blood the Last Vampire Animation is really nice, the payer flags fluttering with the wind and the view revolving were a nice touch. I have to say this again the opening sequence and following animation blew me away the paddy fields the rough lining of land all have been done to perfection Only one other anime rivals this anime in top notch art and that is Claymore
The story is weaved nicely together even minor characters have been well bought out. Plot is really good and the characterization is very realistic. Balsa sure has some cool skills after I read Claymore I played Diablo again with this one I may play once again in Amazon mode
Thanks for reecomending this series Avi I would not have watched if I had not read your article ^^
Your review hit my how I felt dead-on, while watching the anime it felt as if I saw Balsa before, and it's because of the similar facial features of Saya. I have yet to start Claymore but I am tempted further by how you express it's rivalry to Seirei No Moribito's great OP. Diablo, haha, I remember playing that years ago, great game and she does remind me of an Amazonian warrior from the game :D
Thanks for the link, I'm surprised Ani-kraze didn't stop subbing this series yet. Hopefully they won't stop anytime soon =)

Yeah Balsa reminded me of old Saya but I cant pick who is cooler Balsa or Saya . SnM is a well created complex tale I am enjoying also the surroundings are a welcome change . Hopefully A-Kraze wont stop . That’s the only group actively subbing it and I hope they complete the show . I have lot of respect and trust fro A-Kraze they did an awesome job on Hundred Stories (http://www.animeacademy.com/finalrevdisplay.php?id=373) , when they sub shows like these my respect only grows
hrm I only watched ep 1 of this series a few months back, Its absolutely gorgeous to look at I must say but the opening ep didn't hook me all that much. I'll have to watch a bit more though.
and yeah, she definately reminds me of saya from the last vampire xD

Yeah true the opening is unappealing, also OP has to be a teaser of what’s to come, but here it doesn’t not fulfill that requirement of showcasing a great series
Mori - Once you watch more, you'll really start to get into it. I promise :D
Geta- Too true =D
I'm about to watch ep 12, bumping to spread the word of the anime ;)

Oh man I started this show a couple of weeks ago, after Avi recommended it to me.
It's amazingly awesome! In fact it's one of my current favourite anime series. <3

This is definitely one of my favorite series - the animation is just so pretty, and I love the characters, and the plot. Finding all three of these things in one anime makes me a very happy person. :D
Oh, so *that's* who Balsa reminded me of - Saya! She really does look like she could be related to her.
Scholastic's picked up the novels for publication in the US starting next summer, so I'm looking forward to that. :)

You and me both! The anime is seven shades of awsome but there were a quite a few fillerish episodes. I'm curious to see how the novels handle things.
I agree Darina! She looks so much like Saya xD I'm talking about the movie animation of Blood, the Last Vampire =3 Oh? Scholastic huh? That's great, I'm looking forward to that as well :D
Cassoult, that's very true and each filler episode has some sort of character development =)
Byakuya, I'll start the rest now xD I promise <3

LOL you've been saying that for a billion years now Avi. I don't believe you. :hm
Balsa = Saya? Hmmm, well I haven't seen the movie, only the anime Blood+ so I'm not quite sure I can agree with that. >_>

Gah the low likelihood of a second season is killing babbo as it gets closer to the end >.<
Babbo may actually have to resort to reading the light novels when scholastic starts releasing them. *starts preparing himself to start buying books in the childrens' section of borders*

Yeah I was really hoping for a second season, but it doesn't look like there will be one.
