That's why

Rivals, that's what we were
Whatever we would do
We'd compete anywhere
That's why
I hate you.

Friends, we were that too
Because deep inside
We admired each other's side
That's why
I admire you

Lovers, that's the path we went
Our rivalrity didn't exist
Only our love was present
As we no longer felt each other's fist.
That's why
I love you

Love, we achieved that
But surprise caught us
There was too much chat
And too less competition
That wasn't our relationship

Forever friends, that's what we became
But both of us felt the same
We couldn't see us as lovers
Nor could we see us with others.

That's why
I will never leave you...


My first english poem :E. I focused more in the rhymes than anything else, but you can go beyond and think of something else than what's written down x).

This is some kind of truth, the poem. Except the lovers part. And the can't see myself with other person thing.

I have a great friend of mine that we are always competing but we are great friends, but I really can't see us as lovers :hm. We're always insulting each other :yell.

Hmmm nah. We've established this competitive relation ever since we met, so it's not like teasing each other just cuz we like each other ;p. It's not that I like her, it's that she's a great friend of me, and the most special girl to me, but I really can't see her as my girlfriend ;p.

i cant help but imagining IchiRuki relationship when reading ur poem, grey. that's a good poem, with rhyme and all (i think we all did the same since that is like the standard form of a poem taht was first thought in school :P). hm, did u show this poem to ur girl-friend? it shd be a real treat for her, especially the last two lines.
