This is my Silth story, its a fantasy story set in medevil / modern times. the world they live on has advanced to a mighty civilization but has now crashed returning every thing to a medevil standpoint. they have stone buildings and sword and spears but they also have things sutch as moderlike clothes.

The Silth


Prologue

It’s the aftermath of the Shinjaku war, between the spirit warriors of old. Then men and women who control the elements, and use mystical powers. These people where known as the Silth. Humans born with these powers soon became hated by men, and they where cast out. Some of the silth only wished to make a living and to protect the humans, while others only wanted power for one reason, to kill the human race and capture the thrown of earth. Humans even began to rise up against the silth, great knights and warriors from all over the world travelled the globe in search of their prey, some prevailed and killed silth by the hundred, while others, suffered a much darker fate. The history behind the Silth is unknown, as well as their origin, some Proclaimers say that the first silth fell from the sky in huge spheres of ice and rock, While others say that the silth are demons, sent to earth to devour the human race and its sins.

The humans race follows many religions, and at this time each religion was at war with each other, the silth where caught in the middle of the fighting. The gods gave pity to the silth and during the last Great War between the religions the silth took their chance to strike back at the humans; some of the silth didn’t take part though, because they are what are known as the runners, the runners are a large band of silth warriors who protect humans until their deaths.

This story will follow the path of a group of silth, who have to navigate the world, searching for a way to bring peace. While everyone else, only wishes to destroy each other.




Chapter 1
Alone

Kei was one of the many that where now living off scraps and finding any shelter possible. Another one of the countless millions now Homeless and abandoned. His eye’s widened as he heard a noise behind him, Probably another member of the Koo-Coo clan, a group of homeless kids a lot bigger and stronger than some of the younger ones, who use the younger kids as slaves to find food. Kei quickly stuffed what little putrid mouldy food he could into his mouth, before scurrying down the dirty alleyway, towards a large grate in the wall. He stumbled in his mad panic to get away form who ever was following him, se he tripped he opened his mouth to scream, and the food he was trying to eat, was spat all over the floor. Kei grabbed at is, as a light and a group of shadows appeared at the opposite end of the ally to him. He grabbed a tiny piece of old bread, crammed it into his pocket and dived through the large whole that had been smashed in the grating. People voices where now heard as kais rambled into the large ventilation pipe. “I know he’s round’re Find tha’ little bastard” The large group of children in their late teens, began kicking over bins and smashing windows the wooden batons they had against the wall. Kei shivered in fear as he stuffed down the bread he had salvaged from the floor. He then whipped his mouth, after a good bit of eating he looked through the grating, and couldn’t see anyone; a small sigh of relief escaped his mouth as he popped his head through the hole in the grate and looked left and right. “There ya’ are” Suddenly a large boot smashed down on the back of kei’s head, crushing his face into the concrete ally floor, blood sprayed slightly from his now broken nose as in a desperate panic, he tried to shuffle back into the vent, a trickle of blood following him. H is little heart was beating franticly as the Large group all dropped back down into the ally from the ledge they where sat on. The larger boy crouched down in front of the vent, seeing kei in the dim light of his stick, the was on fire at the one end. The larger kid smashed at the grating, but obviously he was weak from lack of food, and after 2 minuets of frantic bashing he was tired and couldn’t beat the grating anymore. He smiled and stuck his arm through the whole trying to grab Kei and pull him out. “Come ere’ Ya little shit”. Kei simply grabbed the boy’s wrist and in a flash Kei had sunk his teeth into the boy’s hand, as the boy pulled his arm out in pain, his little finger, was ripped from his hand by Kei’s grip. The large boy scurried back against the wall. “Holy shit, what the hell.” The rest of the gang looked at their boss, then started beating the venting, trying to get revenge on Kei.

Suddenly a skinny arm poked its way through the large fan Kei was leaning against, it grabbed Kei's baggy sweater and pulled on it. Kei Leapt in fright, and tried to move away from the arm. But as he moved away from the fan, the kids at the Vent kicked at it again, reminding Kei that he couldn’t move closer to the Exit. The skinny arm pulled back through the Fan. And a strange noise was heard, all the screws holding the fan in place began to twist, and finally they dropped onto the bottom of the vent, in the shadow of the vent, Kei made out a figure about his size and build. The small girl slowly moved into the light still holding out her hand. Kei was still in a fit of terror, he tried moving away from the girl. “Oi’ Brat!” the huge kids where once again trying to beat in the grating in front of the vent. Kei curled up against the wall of the vent, thinking that they where going to get him. Suddenly one of the larger boys grabbed the grating, and yanked it from the bolts holding it to the wall. “We, got you now ya little bastard” the boys began grabbing at kei as they all tried to fit inside the vent, failing due to their size. One of them suddenly grabbed him by the foot, and began pulling him towards the vent opening. Kei kicked out and yelled “No, leave me alone!” suddenly the girl had a grip on his shoulder, and dragged him away from the boys, Kei was still yelling as she pulled him deep into the venting system. Kei panicked, he couldn’t see a thing, it was nearly jet black. “Let me go!” he shouted. Finally the small blonde dropped his sweater and turned round to him, she had a cute face, with large blue eyes, her face was covered with dirty and oil’ the same as her clothes. “Would you shut up, they’ll hear us if your Keep freaking out like a school girl!” she yelled at him, with a sort of temper. Kei simple scurried back away from her. “What do you want!” he shouted at her, the vent making his voice echo. The girl simply crawled after him and pinned him to the floor of the vent, and covered his mouth with her hand. “Just be quiet, or we’ll both be dead” she said quietly, but still with authority in her voice. Kei nodded and she let go of his mouth allowing him to sit up.




Chapter 2
Blood stained


Kei, winced in pain as he touched his nose, and pinched it, squeezing the blood out of his airway. The girl sat and watched him do it, she giggled, some how finding it funny. “What the hell are you laughing at?” asked Kei slightly angry, the girl simply smiled and replied “You’re so stupid.” She once again moved over to him, and pulled his hand away from his face. He looked at her slightly surprised as she suddenly grabbed his nose with her thumb and finger and squeezed, Kei yelled as he suddenly tried to escape her grip. “Oh stop struggling you whimp” a gently clicking noise was heard as she pushed the small bit of bone back into place with the rest. She then lets go. “Problem solved” she smiled, her teeth where very white for a street rat. Kei simply touched his nose, and it had stopped bleeding. “T-thanks” he stuttered. The girl pushed her hair behind her ear. “So what’s your name?” she asked Kei looking at him like some sort of lowlife. “Kei, I don’t have a surname” replied Kei. The girl Laughed out loud. “That’s a pretty funny name, I take it your homeless then?” Kei glared at her “It’s a very cool name, and yeah I’m homeless.” Kei had a very angry look on his face; the girl noticed she had offended him. “I’m sorry; I don’t get to meet many homeless kids…” Kei’s eyes widened. The girl whipped the mud and dirt from her face, revealing a slightly pale yet still cute complexion. Kei looked her up and down “You’re a Whisped?” he asked, looking t her with a slight tilt in his head. The little girl giggled, “Something like that, I’m Eve Dovely” She held out her hand in a very formal greeting. Kei didn’t know what she was trying to do with her hand, so he low fived her, Slapping her hand with his. She pulled her hand back in pain and glared at Kei. “Jesus that hurt you idiot!” she said rubbing her palm. Kei was now looking kind of worried as he shuffled towards her and held her hand between both of his. “I’m sorry; I didn’t know what you meant when you held you hand out.” Kei gently drew circles in her palm with his finger tip. She giggled because it was tickling her palm, “Don’t worry, I didn’t know the homeless didn’t have manners.” She smiled pulling her hand from his. Kei had a baffled look on his face, “Manners?” he asked.

The young girl smiled, after talking for a few minuets about how different their lives where, the two children looked around and then decided to carry on through the winding ventilation tunnels. Finally they came to another opening that lead back out onto the street, Eve had a quick look outside, before stepping out of the vent. She then waited for Kei to come out. Kei followed and when they both looked around it was one of the old high streets, Dismantled shops and rubble laid all around them, only a few buildings remained standing. “Come on!” shouted Eve already half way down the road, as Kei jogged to catch up to her. The two of them walked along the side of the road that only 50 years ago would have been full of houses and carts, and people selling food and other good from little road side stalls. The now weary stone buildings looked more like broken castle structures than homes. “Where are we go’in?” Said Kei now wondering where Eve was leading him, “Come on we’re nearly there!” she shouts once again running ahead of him. Kei once again jogged to catch up with the girl, as she san round a corner at the end of the road. Kei was fast on her heels as he ran round the corner he slipped, and skidded off the path into the road. “Ow!” he yells standing and kicking the path, for hobbling after Eve. Finally the girl stopped, she looked up at a small but still intact house with a small plum of smoke rising from the chimney. Kei stares in amazement, a house, a real house that wasn’t demolished. Eve took his hand dragging him to the front door. She gave the door a quick knock, and a shuffle inside finally resulted in a young woman, around 28 pushing through the door, and hugging Eve. This took Eve by surprise, as she placed her arms around her Mother, Kei watched, taking in every last detail. Kei didn’t have any parents and for some reason he doesn’t think he ever did, so seeing a mother and daughter, caused him to become a little jealous. “Where we’re you! You’ve had me and your father worried sick!” the mother pulled away from Eve, and looks at Kei. She looked at him in a very disgusted way then turned back to the little girl. “You brought a Friend home?” her mother asked holding Eve’s shoulder with one hand. Eve looked down slightly before replying, “Mom this is Kei, He was getting beaten up, so I…” she trailed off from the look on her mothers face, was in total anger. The young lady took a breath as if about to yell at the girl and just as she opened her mouth Kei cut her short. “She saved my life, it’s my fault she went out alone” Kei said as he held Eves hand in his.
Eve’s mother looked at him, for a homeless child to have enough courage to protect a girl he didn’t know, this was very strange. Eve’s mother nodded, before letting them walk past her into the house.

Eve strolled into the living area, a warm fire burned in the wall; And Kei was quite shocked by the flames. Eve kissed her father on the cheek. “Hi daddy” She said sitting down in front of the fire warming her now numb fingers. Kei stood in the Hall was, not knowing what to do, or say, or where to go. Eve’s mother closed the door behind her and walked up to Kei tapping his shoulder. “Please Kei, Sit down with Eve I’ll bring you both some Biscuits” Eve mother smiles as Kei looked at her in amazement, before carefully walking over and sitting in front of the fire next to Eve. Eve’s father looks down at the you boy then lifts the thick book has reading up a little. “You going to introduce your new friend Eve?” Asked her father, while her mother brought in a small plate of biscuits. Eve smiled and looked at her dad, the book covering his face. “This is Kei” she took a biscuit and handed it to Kei, Who just stared at it. “You’re giving me this?” He asked taking it from her Fingers. Kei quickly started to scoff the biscuit down, without a second hesitation. Eve pulled his hands away from his mouth before saying; “You don’t have to eat it so quickly” she smiled whipping the crumbs from his face. After about 30 minuets of learning how to speak properly and manners, Kei was laughing and talking to Eve and her parents as if he had always known them. This was the first time he had, had any friends so it came as a sort of surprise to him to know people where so nice, in the 15 years he had been alive. Not once did some one be nice to him, until he met Eve.

Kei was getting comfortable in the living room, sitting next to Eve’s dad as he told Kei all about the war and his job during it, Kei was totally fascinated.


Chapter 3
Rubble


For the next 2 hours Kei and Eve had went upstairs and had fallen asleep is was Kei’s first time sleeping in a house. The warm bed and cosy covers that made him feel like the luckiest boy ever. They where totally oblivious to what was going on around them, until suddenly Eve’s father burst in through the door and began slamming open the door and yelling. “Quick get out the house, they’re coming back!” Eve seemed to know what he meant by this and within seconds she had slipped a small dress over her head and was running down the stairs. Kei was still totally confused and still dazed when Eve’s father grabbed his arm and lifted him up, carrying him down the stairs. The first floor of the building was a total wreck, Flames burst from the living area, and as the 3 of them left through the door, Kei though he could see the back wall of the building being ripped away. Kei was now fully awake, and as Eve’s father put the boy down, Kei ran over to Eve holding her hand as she hid behind him. There was a scream from the top floor of the building as suddenly Eve’s mother smashed through the window, Engulfed in flame falling 2 stories head first and breaking her neck on the concrete below.

Eve by this time was screaming, and so was her father as he ran back towards the building. He began clutching at his wife’s now tinder body. Yelling at the house in a mumbled sort of language. Kei just hugged Eve holding her face so she couldn’t see what was going on, she kicked out and punched at him screaming, trying to get back and help her father. Kei’s eye’s widened as the building collapsed, into a pile of smoking rubble, the whole city skyline was now in flames the small wooden buildings that where still left were being incinerated. Kei stare into the flames as a figure began walking towards them from the rubble of the collapsed house. Eve’s father slowly let go of his wife looking at the teenage girl walking towards him, she was covered with armour, its shiny metallic plates reflecting the orange rage of the flames. Eve’s father picked up a large lump of rock and ran at the girl, Kei lunged at him, still holding eve trying to stop her father from doing anything stupid. The armoured teenager smiled, as the man ran at her, their was a flash. Nearly unseen by the human eye, But Kei saw it, the long metallic gleam of a sword snapped up, as Eve’s father dropped to his knees, and his head rolled further down the rubble. The teenager let out a laugh that sounded more like a scream. The flames began to swirl round her as Kei tried to scurry back. His arms still held Eve to his chest so she didn’t know her father had just been gruesomely killed. Kei struggled to run while still holding Eve all he could hear was her crying. He looked around, another 4 figures where striding amongst the rubble they where all clad in armour. Kei finally picked up a pace as he started running from them. But as he did, Eve pulled her head lose and she just stood in the dirt road in front of the now demolished house. Kei turned “Eve! Come on!” He yelled as the armoured girl walked closer and closer to Eve. Eve turned, and suddenly the tall girl was looking down at her. The Armoured teenager stared at Eve. Her sword slowly slid out of its sheath their was a flash of sparks as the girl in the armour lashed out as Eve. When the sparks had dropped to the floor, Kei was stood in the small gap between the two girls, a large iron railing in his hand the had the teenagers sword in a parry.

The Teenager smiled. “I see you have a lot of speed.” Suddenly her sword began to push Kei’s iron railing to the floor, with what looked like little effort. The ring of people crowded round Kei and Eve. “Who are these children?” asked a large coloured man, he was clothed in robed and a large Scimitar was tyghed to his waist. Kei snarled, now his weapon was on the ground and his hand was pinned under it. Eve cling'd to his arm also cowering from the men and women. “Their not children.” Said the Teenager. Her eye seemed to have a faint glow, only in the left one “Their Silth”.
Suddenly the Group that had formed around the 2 children edged back, except the teenager. “Naomi, Are you sure? They look like normal kids to me”. Said the large coloured man. “I’m positive”. The teenager leant down to Kei. “You didn’t even know, did you?” Kei snarled and tried to lunge at Naomi but his hand was still trapped, She smiled letting go of the rail letting his hand lose. Kei just glared at her. Eve was still quaking and clutching at Kei’s sleeve “K-kei? She killed Dad”. Kei nodded and grabbed Naomi’s throat. Naomi just smiled as Kei squeezed his hardest yet still it didn’t even seem to hurt her. “You’re a brave kid”. Naomi grabbed the boys arm twisting it nearly to the point of snapping.

Kei grit his teeth and fell to his knee next to Eve, Who was still clinging onto him. The group had moved closer again. “Naomi, if their Silth just kill them and let’s move on”. Said the large Asian. Men around the circle began to nod and mumble. Naomi looked at him, her golden eye glinting in the fire light. “What? Kill children? I’m not a monster Jeffar”. Naomi stood up straight and turned her back the Kei and Eve. “If you children are silth, show me your powers”. Kei’s eye’s widened. “We don’t have any powers!” he shouted. Naomi smiled with her back to them. “Then prove it”. She swung around her sword gleaming orange from the flames as it swung at Kei and in a second the iron railing smashed into Naomi’s Knee before her sword hit Kei. On the end of the railing was Eve. “Leave Kei alone!” Naomi staggered back a trickle of blood running down her armour. Kei walked up to Naomi grabbing the girl’s hair and pulling her face down onto his kneecap. Suddenly Naomi fell to the floor.

Naomi struggled to stand. The men around them didn’t move as if they either didn’t care or that they knew Naomi wasn’t in danger. Kei crouched next to her. “I have no powers.” Kei then stood up and Naomi grabbed his ankle, “Trust me kid, you do”. Naomi stood and pulled Kei onto his face, Eve then ran at the Armoured girl slamming the large Iron railing into Naomi’s shoulder but it didn’t even move her Naomi’s tough armour took the whole impact. Naomi stood on the back of Kei’s leg before he could stand up forcing him to stay down; also she swung her Sword hand around catching Eve’s head with the hilt and sending her flying back into a pile of rubble. Eve moaned as a few men when to check on her. Naomi stepped down from Kei’s leg allowing him up. Her left eye way now glowing gold. Kei growled as he leapt as Naomi, she simply moved out of the way stabbing the sword into his forearm.
Kei once again yelled as he pulled the blade from his arm yanking it from Naomi’s hand and throwing it to the side. Naomi then noticed, Kei’s eye’s had a green tint that they didn’t have earlier.


The group of soldiers around them also noticed the colour change in Kei’s eyes and began to back off again their eye full of fear. Except Naomi. Kei ran at her his movements seemed blurry as if he was moving just as the speed of human sight. Suddenly his elbow implanted itself in Naomi’s chest armour forcing her to skid back dust rising around her as her armoured boots smashed through rubble under her iron tred. Kei seemed to be hunched over slightly and then Naomi knew. “You are a silth”. She said to him, “Your eyes have changed and you have a heightened reactions and reflexes as well as increased speed”. Kei Simply laughed. “So what? Are you scared?” His attitude seemed different also, more aggressive. Naomi smiled suddenly she knelt down and picked up the railing Eve had used to hit her, she held it like a javelin and launched it at Kei. The railing simply vanished and reappeared behind Kei stuck in the stone wall of a now demolished building and a hole dripping with blood was in Kei’s shoulder. Kei’s vision began to blur. As he began thinking to himself. *What happened? Did she hit me? I didn’t even see it coming.* He fell to his knees.
Kei’s face contorted in agony, he felt a tingling in his neck. Eve was now lifted of the floor by a man who was laughing. “Look ‘ere Lad’s we got ourselves a new shoe shiner.” The armoured girl walked over to him, punching him square in the face. Forcing him to drop Eve, as she ran to Kei’s side. “Leave them alone, they're my prey therefore I decide what happens to them”. She turned again walking towards Kei and Eve. Eve now stood holding a large piece of rubble.
“You leave Kei alone you witch!” suddenly an armoured glove slapped eve’s face sending her flying. Naomi smiled “Stupid little brat, we’re not interested in you, only in him” Naomi picked Kei up by his neck holding him at arms length. “This boy has a strange power I have never seen before…” Eve trembled as she wobbled to her feet and stumbled out of the pile of rubble Naomi had thrown her into. “I said leave him alone!” Eve ran and grabbed Naomi’s arm causing her to Drop Kei to the floor. Naomi grabbed at Eve clutching her wrist. “And I said this doesn’t concern you” Suddenly something heavy smashed into Naomi’s back plate, her head turned menacingly to see kei’s his fist was pressed against her back plate a huge dent encircling his fist. “Like I said, you quite interesting aren’t you boy.” Naomi once again dropped Eve, who at this point was just staring at Kei. “K-kei?” Mutter Eve, as the boy leapt onto Naomi, Forcing her to the floor Kei pinned her left arm to the floor and hammered at her elbow joint with a large rock, But Naomi’s arm wouldn’t break. “Get off me!” she grabbed Kei’s collar throwing him off her, instead of crashing to the floor, Kei skidded on feet his hair hanging in front of his eyes. But a faint aura surrounding him. Naomi Grinned “About time you released your powers.”

Kei’s fist lunged out like a piston impacting viciously with Naomi’s chest armour denting it and sending Naomi hurtling into a pile of rubble. Kei quickly leapt after her, landing on top of Naomi as she tried to scramble from the ruins. Eve’s face turned to see Kei nothing but a blur as she slowly fell to the floor. Kei was laying into Naomi’s armour making dents and cracks his fists where like pumps Naomi was pinned. She let out a yell as Kei’s knee impacted hard with her now unprotected skull. Naomi fell back onto the rocks. Blood trickling from her head. Kei turned seeing the large crowd now circled around him. Swords and spears pointed in his direction, in a flash, swords fell to the floor as Kei leapt from man to man killing or knocking them unconscious with his powerful fists. As the last man fell towering to the floor, making a faint thud as his armour smashed into the rocks. Then Kei’s aura faded away as he pushed his hair back up with is bloody hand. He glanced at Eve and quickly ran to her side. He lifted her in his arm’s she was light, and Kei had no trouble carrying her to the edge of the small village. “Eve look, it’s the open land.” As Kei and Eve left the gates to the village he looked back to see Naomi flop from the rubble onto her back. Kei had a slight regret at hurting the girl but he quickly pushed it form his mind as he began to run down the dirt road away from the village, after about an hour of jogging Kei found himself in the forest, the great woodland. He set Eve down on the ground and then sat beside her. “Eve?” said Kei shaking her slightly Eve’s face squinted as her eye opened. “Kei? You did it!” she quickly rose to her knees hugging him. When she let go she looked around. “I don’t know I felt different and then the next thing I remember is that the men where on the floor and I was running with you.” Replied Kei, Eve quickly smiled “How come we’re in a forest?” Asked Eve her eyes looking all around. “I don’t know” said Kei “But I’m going to find some wood for a fire.” Eve nodded before sitting comfortably on a tree and watching Kei stomp into the trees.


Chapter 4
A new Friend

Kei had been wandering for at least 23 minuets; his stumbling feet weren’t taking him in any true direction. A bundle of wood was stacked under his arm. He looked up at the tree tops above him, into the now dark night sky. He swirled on his heels turning and heading back towards the small clearing where he had left Eve. Eve by this time had pulled lots of foliage down from branches and had tied them together with a sort of twine. Making a good but slightly flimsy roof. It cover the clearing as Kei stepped in, looking up he smiled. “This is awesome Eve.” He grinned and Eve nodded. “Unfortunately, I used my shoe laces” said Eve staring at her now lace less shoes. Kei smiled before dumping the fire wood in the middle. He picked up 2 stones from a small pile of rubble. One looked like a flinty sort of slate. The other was a pebble he then scampered back to the wood; Eve slid from her perch on a tree branch and crouched next to Kei watching endeavour to make a fire. Kei Easily struck the stone together causing sparks the splash from them, Eve placed a piece of dried moss next the where the sparks landed and Kei struck again, the most burst into flames. Kei smiled at his Achievement as eve set the rest of the wood alight.


Nearly an hour had passed Eve and Kei had been making small talk for a while now. “Kei, what was that power?” asked eve crossing her legs and leaving against the tree, the warmth of the fire on her face. “Power?” said kei, “I don’t know. For at least 4 years of my life people have said that i'm different, they believed me to be a young silth and they used to chase me because of this.” Kei looked down slightly before continuing, “To tell you the truth I don’t know, I remember waking up not knowing anything, then I met people who taught me to speak. And move. Soon after that I developed strange gifts for precognition. In other word I used to be able to real peoples future by touching them, about 3 years ago though this power vanished and since I haven’t been able to use it. But now when I get angry or a friend of mine becomes endangered I go into a rage, I can’t even remember what happens.” He scratched his head. Eve sat their open eyed, “You have powers? Wow that’s so cool” smiled Eve, Kei shrugged.


He smiled looking into Eves face. Eve took his hand quickly, and held it in her palms. “I won’t you to practice your power! It would be truly amazing if you where a silth, I used to hear stories from father about them, the silth had power ranging from healing people to burning cities, and they were hunted because of it. Eve since the War the silth where scattered, and ever since then people like those bounty hunters today have been hunting them.” Kei looked down, “So those people where after me?” Eve shook her head. “Come on lets see what you can do!” She tugged on his arm, and they ran through the trees finally appearing in a field, the moon light made it possible to see the surroundings. “Ok Kei! Go ahead!” Eve stepped back watching Kei’s every move.

“I don’t know if I can” Said kei, in all honesty Kei didn’t know how to activate the powers or control them. But he tried, he thought of himself as a cloud light, fluffy and levitating. His eyes closed as he concentrated. “Can I fly?” he thought to himself. Suddenly Kei began to glow faintly, Eves Eyes widened. “You’re doing it Kei!” she yelled. Kei smiled as her tensed his mussels making his face look angry and distort, but then, he felt a pulling on his back, then his arms, legs, head and finally his feet. Kei slowly lifted about 6 inched off the floor, wobbling slightly as he now and again lost concentration with Eves yelling. “Kei your flying!” kei’s eye opened and he looked down, “Oh my god! I’m Flying I really a-“ his concentration collapsed and kei fell into a heap on the floor, and the glow vanished, Eve leapt towards him like a cub happy to see its mother, leaping onto him before he had recovered and hugging him tight. “Kei, you’re a silth! You’re like one of the most special people in the world!” she exclaimed hugging him tighter.

Kei grinned as he sat up. The moon was now lower and he knew dawn was only about 6 hours away. He stood, Eve clinging to his arm. The casually wandered back to the camp to find the fire still alight, but something was wrong. A weird sort of mound about 4 feet in height was crouched next to the fire, its body black and silhouetted against the flames. Kei pushed Eve behind him. “What is that?” Asked eve clinging tighter onto Kei. Obviously the creature heard them because it turned, still black from the fire light. But then it spoke. “Is this your fire young ones?” asked a sort of chalky voice like that of a man who had smoked Loosez all his life. Kei stepped closer slightly. “Yes its our fire, what do you won’t?” asked Kei the man moved closer until he was in plain sight, now he stood, no longer 4ft tall but he was at least double keis Height. Muscular and large. “I won’t to use your fire to cook my dinner” Said the man with a chuckle. Kei just stared. “Who are you? And step into the clearing so I can see your face.” Replied kei, the man stepped back replying. “My name is Luca, and I am a Troll. Kei stared unblinking at the Trolls face. It was similar to a humans only slightly blue, his hair was a faint red and messy, the Troll had 2 huge tusks flowing from the corners of his smile. Kei finally nodded. “Thank you” said the troll stooping in front of the fire and pulling a chicken from his robe, it was dead but not feathered, and the troll vigorously yanked poultry feather from it throwing them into the fire. Kei dragged eve into the clear and the sat opposite the troll.

“So what are a couple of kids like you doing in the forest? This place isn’t safe and you’re lucky I found you.” Said Luca. “We’re running from Bounty hunters, they attacked a town north of here, luckily we both escaped but now the towns burning and have been smashed to rubble.” Said kei. “My parents where killed!” Exclaimed Eve. The troll looked puzzled at this. “We’ll then my dear I am sorry for your loss, I too have lost my tribe. Properly to the same group of people, I went back today after hunting and found the camp deserted not a person in sight. But why would they be chasing you?” asked Luca. Kei stood. Rather pleased with his own powers “Because i'm a silth” he said firmly. Luca clapped, “Oh that is a good one, a young boy like you? A silth? Not a chance.” Luca then noticed Kei serious face. “Your not joking are ya kid…” Kei shook his head and eve spoke to defend him. “Kei can fly! And fight!” she shouted at Luca.

“I don’t doubt it. But you say you can fight boy? I would like to see this myself, it just so happens I’m good with a blade myself.” Luca pulls 2 short swords from his waist tossing one to Kei. “What do ya say lad, just a little dance around to see if you have the Skills to match a Troll in combat?” Kei shrugged and picked up the sword, Eve gripped his arm. “Be careful” she said as kei Smiled. And took a stance. Luca then grinned his tusks shining. He then ran forwards without warning, his sword slashing down ragingly. Kei only just blocked the attack as luca sent the boy stumbling back. “Always be ready lad, never relax!” Luca was obviously trying to teach Kei while he was fighting. Kei sprinted forwards thrusting as Luca’s gut, but his sword was smashed aside. And Luca’s foot pushed against Kei’s Knees causing him to over balance and fall to the floor. “Never over step in attacks an off balance target is easy to destroy”. Kei quickly Rose to his feet. He thrust his sword upwards aiming for Luca’s chin. But luca simply dodged. “If you are a silth you should try Releasing your Battle state without it you’re pretty useless in fights”. Kei paused “Battle State?” Luca smiled “you don’t even know your own powers. Well to be honest neither do I, I only learnt about silth when I was little about what they can do and how they do it. Each silth has 4 Sates. Battle state causes you to fight well. Power state gives you the power to control energies, Purity state is used for healing. And the elemental state used for using the Elements to fight. Each silth apparently has different strengths in each. And it’s obvious you’re a Battle or power state, you said you could fly? There where legends about silth flying apparently they where able to force energy into their body parts making them lighter and ejecting the energy from their feet to move. But I don’t know if it’s true. My father said a silths battle state is released when the Silth gets enveloped in the battle. But I don’t know how its works.” Kei listened Hard. Then suddenly dropped his sword. “I think I can, do it!” he clenched his fist, all the time only thoughts of winning and killing Luca ran through his head and his body didn’t notice they where fake thoughts. His body began to glow like earlier only this time the Glow was red and not white. Meaning his battle state was being released. Kei Began to let out a yell as his power flowed. The Small boy seemed frightening like a demon as Eve just stared. Luca smiled “What would ya know? You are a silth after all, a rare thing to see these days.” Kei snarled. Before running at Luca a fist drawn back like a bow ready to launched hell upon a target. And as it swung forwards Luca put up a palm in front of him catching Keis fist. The dust rose around them causing Eve to loose sight, but when the dust settled once again Kei was on his knees, his fist still being held by Luca. “You’re strong for a boy of your size and age. But you’re not developed yet. And you have a long way to go before you truly understand your strange powers until then. We have a chicken to eat” Luca smiled as he headed back to the clearing Eve ran to Kei’s side clutching him. “Kei are you alright?” She asked, Kei nodded before showing his Grinning face. “Did ya see it, I used my Battle state!” He exclaimed taking her hand and dragger her back to the clearing.

Chapter 5
I will protect you.

Kei had fallen Asleep like a log, his arm dangled limply across his face. Eve sat Quite Quietly only meters away. She looked at Kei before smiling gently and looking up at the black night sky through the trees. Eve still hadn’t even thanked Kei properly for saving her life. If it wasn’t for him she would have died for her parents. She didn’t know why but she wasn’t even upset. It might have been because she never truly saw them as Parents, or it could be that she has shifted her love from them, To Kei. Luca was also asleep dangling from a tree like some sort of big cat. The was a breeze as the Wind picked up and Eve decided to explore the area, and she stood picked up a large Stick and wandered off into the Fields. She was really pleased that Kei had Learnt to control his silth powers. But she was a little jealous she always envied silths and their powers. She frowned and held the stick in the Air above her. Before swinging it down. She then began to try to copy the moves that Kei and Luca had be using when training. She swung the sword with an essence of elegance. The wind whistling past its barked blade. Eve was now grinning again as she concentrated on the movements. Swinging the heavy stick left, right, up and down. She paused as she heard a noise, Thinking it was Kei or Luca she turned to the sound. Her eyes widened at what she saw. The huge mangy dog obviously had seen her yet. But was sniffing the ground it then looked into the forest at Kei and Luca. A large rock smashed into its thick skull causing it to yelp and leap back snarling. Stood before it was Eve, the stick held aloft. The wolf glare into her eyes, and in a flash it leapt at her. Eve nearly screamed but then thought to herself. “Damn it, if I scream the others will save me like always, if I don’t start sticking up for myself, I’ll always be the weak link!” her eyes narrowed as he pushed the stick against the wolfs neck as it pinned her to the floor, teeth lashing out at her face. She pushed with all her might against the wolf rolling it over and kicking it hard forcing it to skid into the tall grass. Eve quickly got to her feet, but before she steadied herself, huge canines sunk into her arm and blood dripped from her fingers. She gave a silent scream but then Snarled back at the wolf. Smashing its hind leg with the stick causing the Wolf to fall on its side releasing her arm.

Eve Quickly rose the stick, whacking at the wolfs ribs, and for a second it gave a cry and then, Fell silent. Eve sighed a huge sigh of relief. Collapsing to her knees and looking up into the sky. She dropped the bloody stick onto the floor. She then bowed her head to the wolfs corpse. “I’m sorry that you had to die, but I have a duty to complete in this world…” Before she finished, Eve lifted her head, the dripping maw of another much larger wolf dripped sliver onto her face it slashed out Eve narrowly rolling back out of the way.

As she rolled to her feet trying to steady herself she panned the area, 4 huge dogs circled her like sharks. All larger than the one she had killed. And now she didn’t have the Stick either. Making a quick decision she swirled on her heels and sprinted through the grass, the snarls and barks of the dogs close behind her. She caught her foot on a root sticking from the floor and fell flat on her face. The body of a huge dog whistled through the air, aimed at her body. But she rolled from its Path. Its huge claws ripping 4 neat slashes down her body, a torrent of blood streamed from her would run down her pretty clothes tainting them with blood. Eve collapsed. And every thing went dark.

“Eve? Eve can you hear my voice? The voice in the darkness. Eve my dear how can you lay there like that those huge dogs about to dismember your body. You want to kill them don’t you? You want to crush their tiny little minds into dust. And scatter their bodies to the winds. 3 year ago I visited you but you were too young to trust me, now your old enough Eve. I am your spirit. Unlike a normal girl your spirit talks. You remember? When I used to tell you stories? I remember Eve, now you’re big enough, big enough to use my powers unlike a normal spirit I can give you the power to kill these beasts. Do you want this? If so then wake up. Wake up and let go with since just release yourself I will do the rest. For there’s a beast inside you Eve, it’s only little. But it’s her with you. I’m here with you.” Eve’s eyes slid open in a flash she raised to her feet. And looked up. “Ok” she whispered, and then a huge burst of energy winded round her like a dark tornado. And then eve was gone, She reappeared above one of the wolves her hands like huge claws, she swiped down at the wolf her now paw like hand cleanly segmenting the wolfs spine. As it fell to the floor, before Eve reached the floor she disappeared again.

She appeared above another, Grabbing its Rough mane, and launching iy upwards into the air. Eve Quickly Vanished Appearing above it. Spinning in mid air like a fire wheel, both her feet flipped round in and arc slamming into the wolf hurling it through the air into the Ground Below. Eve Was total absorbed int the fight. She didn’t notice. Her body was no longer Her own. The huge claws on the end of her forearms where metallic and Demonic. She have never even known. But she too, was the same as Kei. A silth, and her battle state was a lot more developed then Kei’s splitting her personality into that of a beast. She turned, now landing on the floor with elegance. Staring at the wolf her Gentle Eyes staring it down in a battle of whits. The wolfs eye’s shifted, then it turned Sprinting off, back into the tall grass, the Remaining wolves following it. Eve Glared at her hands, the Paws slowing withdrawing back into her arms. She began to pant, staring at her arms as Eves consiousness began to take back control, She let out a Tiny Scream before collapsing to the floor.

Eves eyelids flickerd open, The sun was beaming onto her face. Then suddenly she remmemberd what had happened Quickly bracing herself and trying to get up. She rolled, and then stood. She was in the same field as Earlier, Eve turned looking at the Tree’s She saw the similar Figure standing on the edge of the treeline. Kei was Happily Smiling at her. As she nounded towards him like a lamb to its mother. “Whoa eve slow down…” Said Kei’ as he was tackled to the floor. “E-Eve?” Asked Kei noticing the tears on her face, as she pushed her head into his chest. Kei sighed and then gently Stroked her head. “You had me worried when I woke up to find you gone.” Eve looked up at him, before smiling. “Kei’ you wont believe what I have to say. I’m a silth aswell…” Keis Eyes widened. Before a grin Whipe over his face. “That’s So cool!” he exclaimed lifting her off the floor with him. And then making a small dance. Luca Stepped up close to them. “Oi, lovers the breakfasts going cold…” Kei and Eve both blushed in unison before releasing each others hands and following Luca back to the Camp.

As the 3 of them sat round the small crackling fire,Kei and Eve kept making eye contact and grinning, Luca began to get very worried. “What up with you guys, you both so happy.” Eve was about the speak, but this time it was Kei who cut her off. “Eve thinks she’s a silth aswell!” Luca just stared. “Pah” two young silth in one place? That’s crazy. Silth are scatterd around the world.” Kei just smiled, and Eve blushed and stared at the fire. “Your telling the truth, jesus. What am I getting into roaming around with two silth.” Luca sighed, and chomped inot his Wild chicken. After all 3 had Eaten They began to pack away their things. Finally there where on their way, they headed back to the road leading from the town. As they stepped out of the wood onto the worn road they all smiled. Luca pulled a large stick from his bag. Kei Then ponderd for a second. “Luca, where are we going…?” Luca turned back to Kei and Grinned. I would surgest We head for Palaan, the city ahead of us only 2 days walk. We should get there Ok.” Kei smiled. “Ok Lets go!” And the 3 travelers began to Move along the road, Step by step and Mile by mile to Palaan.
