Nemu's life if Mayuri died~

I started to think... What would poor Nemu do if Mayuri died? She's programmed to basically serve him... If he died, would she find someone new to cling to... Would she become her own person? What would she be like?...

I don't see her taking over as Captain, because theres no way she would have the necessary leadership qualities... I'd imagine the other members of SS slowly molding her into finding her own personality over decades... Kinda like the reverse-effect of what happens to a Chevaliers personality and emotions over time~

She is submissive to Mayuri, and she would be upset if he died, but i think her personality is defined enough that she doesn't need him.

She would probably just stay as the vice-captain, hook up with Ishida the possibilites are endless.

Lest we forget that she is in the shinigami's women's association? On top of that, she's shown to be a bit of a pervert. She's quiet, and quirky, but that's because of her overly polite and subserviant manner. She would likely remain as the vice of whoever became the next captain.

Also, she's not based ENTIRELY on Mayuri, otherwise they'd have the same hair, and it'd be a lot harder for her to be female. She's just the culmination of his artificial soul and body techniques. She had to have had a base soul to begin with, think of it like genetic engineering. You don't create the genes, you alter them.

I think she would be alone a LOT if he died~ she clearly has free will with how she interfered in his fight with Uryu, and I'm sure part of her resents Mayuri, but she probably would feel completely lost without him... just like an abusive BF+GF relationship, they know they're suffering but they don't wanna be alone XP It would take a lot of people cheering her up followed by a Quincy romance to get her happy ;p I wonder if she's capable of smiling o.o... eventually, she would end up as a housewife that makes Uryu QUincy weapons ;o

But doing so would ruin her character. We all love her for what she is today. Don't we all like her because she acts like an obedient "pet" to Mayuri?
