Transformers: The Movie...

...Rocked my socks.

None of us going into the movie were expecting much, even the guy who was bouncing off the walls in anticipation at the idea of a new Transformers movie. But it turned out amazingly well. The love subplot and minor terrorist themes were irritating, but they don't take up too much space once the plot gets revved up so I can forgive them.

Advice: Find a theater with a good surround sound system. You will feel every step a Transformer makes. It's great.

I found an interesting truth about Transformers...

The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more than meets the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided.

I liked it. The ending was a little meh for me, but the movie as a whole was good. I liked it. lots of action and humor, and indeed, a little romance.

I also loved the fighting XD The robots were done so well.

Overall I really like the movie. Good story, awesome animation, good action, good acting. This is the new brand of moives. There were just a couple of things that bugged me, not big deals really, just little things that got to me.

There were too many moments where everyone just turned blind and death for a minute or so. It's understandable with how these movies are made. It's not like these thing are really there. Lots of times where they should have been easily spotted.

The only other thing that got to me was unnecessary amount very quick camera movement. Again, this had to be because of the interaction with the CG characters. The slower it goes, the more easily it is to spot that they are fake and the interaction doesn't go as smooth. So fast movement works in their favor. But it just made it a little hard to follow was going on at times.

Not big things, just little things that got to me. :D Still a great movie.

Yea, the camera irked me. I hated the camera. I wanted to see more Transformers, not the feet and torsos flying past. Also, the camera's focus during the fights was awkward. Like, there was a shot that focused on a street lamp. True, you could see Bonecrusher, but it felt like the camera was focusing on the street lamp it was panning up to.

I hated the high school hack team, btw XP SOOO sterotypical, even the at-home hacker who's an "average kid" with uber hacking skills. Sector Seven was amusing, though. And the little mini transformer who could turn into a boombox :p

[I love this movie, love this movie, love this movie! Just watched it and geeking out over it. Sure I would have loved more robots running around, but doesn't matter. It was a fun ride!!! OMG, I just femmegeeked myself into a stupor. Just got back from seeing this movie a few hours ago. Optimus Prime, I <3 you!!!! ;_; You never forget your first crush, even if you were 5 when you had it. ;_;

They managed to make Megatron really...frightening in this. I was impressed. Also Bumblebee is still adorable. Ironhide you old curmudgeon. X3

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THE MOVIE.

The CGI and sounds were just breath-taking. My jaw was open the whole time. I swear. The soundtrack and music score throughout the movie was good too!!! The Linkin Park song at the end ENDED the movie greatly. Man, that movie is epic.

A lot of my favorite bands are in the soundtrack too! Linkin Park, Disturbed, HIM, The Used, Taking Back Sunday... EEEE!!!!!!

Shia LeBouf is awesome too. He's a great actor for that role. :)

I shat and creamed myself for the entire 3 hours the film was on screen. I'll admit with no reservations that there were some glaring errors, but I overlooked them entirely. You all know Megatron's going to be back that's for sure. As for StarScream, like I said earlier, he flew off into space, but you have to sit around for the credits to see that. You know he's going to call for reinforcements and tell other Decepticons he's their leader now. XD

BTW, I loved that Bumblebee as a Camaro got to bash his old form, the yellow VW Beetle in the movie. Hysterical!

Meh, the movie was ok. Most of my friends thought it was one of those "best movie ever" thingies but not for me. Felt it took too long for the robots to get introduced. Hopefully the second movie will be better. Hope he will make the aircraft carrier transformers he wanted to do.

There has been talks for movie 3,4 and 5 too but I wouldn't take it too serious just yet. Pretty sure we'll get a second movie though.

Really, oh i just stayed in my childhood first impression about em, I thought Sunstreeter(sp?) was the Lamborghini(since it's yellow) and SideSwipe was a Ferrai since he's red.

I thought it was funny when they went from Nellis AFB to some huge city in like, no time. I live in Vegas, which is where Nellis AFB is located, and there is no city within 5 hours of Vegas that looks like a bustling, sky-scraping, New York-esque city. And I believe the military guys said that place was 20 minutes or something away? lol.

I really hope that if another TF movie comes out, the camera work will be better coordinated. I felt like the movie was shown too much from a spectator's point of view and all the moving and looking up and partial views on everything took a bit away from the overall entertainment, IMO.

But seriously, they did an incredible job on the graphics. it looked a bit odd when they were talking ( the Autobots that is) but they got the sounds and the mood correctly intense. I like how they made the story a bit confusing to start with, so that people had to think alittle before understanding what was really happening.

I squealed when i saw Optimus Prime, being dressed in a shirt with him on it. I was such a ...fan. >__<

Oh well, i give it a 5/5, without any comments of approvement. they cant make a movie better than it. :3

Yup, they're talking about sequels already! But I do hope they take their time to make it just as good or even better!

I know for sure at least one script writer is already committed to another project (Star Trek movie!), and so won't be writing the sequel. The same probably goes for the other writers and the director. Let's just hope that if they get a new crew that they do just a good a job as the current ones.

Transformers was a good movie if you consider it just a normal movie, but it wasn't...it was transformers. It was filled with humans no one cared about, and the transformers were really just side characters. I was wholly dissapointed. But that didnt really bother me once i saw them fighting.....My main problem was Megatron's design.....I understand having him as a gun was lame and they had to change that...but he looked kinda..........I dunno.....Like a pile of scrap metal with teeth..

His design bugged me as well. Also yeah, I didn't mind all that much, it was just blah. Part of me was also just being funny about it (as I am with a lot of things).

Steps to make transformers the movie:
1. Take a cast of humans no one really cares about, have a bunch of semi-known celebrities play them, through them together, hope it works.
2. Distract everyone from the above with giant robots fighting.
3. Hope the hardcore dorks (such as myself), don't go to see it.
