Should we start 1 graphic team

I know a thread has been posted before and in depth discussion went about it. However I would like to create and manage a graphic team, and I was wondering if 1 graphic team could be possible? I mean if one pops up, then more will come up.

So waht do you guys think. Should we have 1 graphic team?

GFX teams are NOT GFX shops. Teams are intended to produce a competicion amongst members aswell as a constant learning envirorment.

Anyways I'm for creating and leading 1 team. All I need is a volunteer for the other team.

If it is needed i will take on leading a GFX group, my strength is smudge sigs, but i'm always willing to help since my tut resource seems to be enriching of all kinds of styles. And teams are a good way to bring up new gfxers. They get to be around those who were once like them, noobs that grew up in gfx and along the way make new friends worldwide.

Now let me more or less start things..

-2 teams of 5 people to start it off.

-Since there is Graphic of the week, we can work within the team building strength in each genre.

- to interact with gfxers of different levels and learn from each other.

That's why the SOTW, and then GOTW are based on individual entries. That's why, if you want to discuss Gfx, I'd suggest this particular thread (http://www.bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?t=4080) where you can talk between each others, ask for tutorials, or just whatever -

ogichi- having a private space won't really help tho.. since we want mroe ppz to join a team.. they would want to judge us on how we act and our skill before they join.. so won't it be better if it was publical rather then private..

If it's only teams of four-five we could prolly manage two teams, if the sotw is any indication of how many people we could get. Starting off small isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Babbo for one will join up if someone's willing to start. Private forums wouldn't require much effort on SSH's end either and the secrecy between teams could add to the competition.

ok, anyway, heres the deal now, since the GFX teams are on trial now, we don't really know how the response will turn out, so for the moment, no private forum or customised space.
and yeah, just create a new thread in this same section, with your team roster, name and such and i'll sticky it and promote it massively.

and heres some tips i can give you with regards to having GFX teams. been in a few and most of them are like this

- do encourage ur members to participate in all SOTWs, even if they don't know what to do with an entry. doing nothing, doesn't improve u at all.

- have frequent member battles and team battles.

- do make sigs/banners/whateva for fun so that people can critique you even when ur not battling.

- when it comes to selecting teams, try to chose a team that suits your style. some teams are just naturally more kickass then others in some aspects and vice versa. it helps you develop your technique.

- post lotsa tutorials and resources. stuff for c4d-ing, colouring, typesetting, fonts, renders blablabla, the list goes on. so don't be afraid to spam your own little space, it helps.

so now get on to creation you noobs ;)

We already have a graphics team its just that some of the members have left and for one some have been really busy like myself over the past 6 months or so so we haven't had time. I'll be willing to help in the next few months when I am clear of things because at the moment I haven't got time.

I like the battles ideas but again we already have that in place which has been going on already but again people have left and people have been too busy to be able to enter am sure we can start something up again if people are willing to and just build on the foundations of what was made when the forum started up.

Alright boys and girls, apparently school sucked my life into a void and I spent more time partying than thinking about the GFX teams and what do we have, 10 pages and dead teams. So I decided to take the matter into my own hands now. Starting ASAP, I will open the first living GFX team "MetaFX" and will be open for maximum 6 team members.
