I just started reading D.GRAY-MAN.And it's very different from it's anime.I'm serious...I suggest that if you're doing one like watching the anime.Don't read the manga.It will confuse you.And if you've already done so...well my apologies to you

Well that's funny, because I've started by watching the anime, gave up after 15 episodes because I find it boring, then I've begun to read the manga and I could not stop, so I read all the chapters. The manga has a creepy gothic touch that is totally lacking in the anime (too much bright colors and censorship, and damn slow rythm because of useless secondary plots).

Well,your last sentence is sad for me,cos I only watch the anime (I watched the 70.epi last),and now,I'd like to start reading the manga,but you said,it's not similar to the anime version.
Perhaps,I should read the whole manga from the first chappy.:o

Well,I know the newest chappy is the #149.Hmm,according to the wiki manga chappies #83-#85 are equal to anime #70.Is it true?:confused:

After a short recap on Allen leaving the room and Bak unsealing it after, Allen starts to fight the Level 3 Akuma. Allen speaks to the soul entraped within the Akuma, and learns that the soul was the one that had been calling out to him previously. The soul asks Allen to save him, and Allen agrees. However, because his body's composition was already unstable, he starts to crack during the fight. While Allen is unable to attack, the Akuma turns on Bak and Fou, decomposing their bodies too. Enraged, Allen finally manages to release his Innocence and destroys the Akuma. The two attacks used are Cross Grave and Clown Belt. Before the Akuma died, he told Allen of the gathering of the Noah and lvl 3 akumas.

Unlike most, I've found the Manga to be wayy much better than the anime, though lastly, the sole purpose of Anime is to see particular scenes in color and movement...

i read and watch it. its better to watch it i think cos it's animted better (now atleast) and is easier to understand.

the current manga arc is animated better too and is less confusuing like it used to be though.

if you havn't seen recent anime eps, watch them. they're amazing, seriously. they look like movies most ofthe time now.

i don't have a favourite really...nobody stands out much.

but the generals/marshels (which one?) are the best though!

I still find the art in the manga to be very unique but extremely confusing when it comes to action. I swear half the time a battle is going on I'm trying to figure out what is going on.

That being said the manga is better than the anime, I feel like the manga is much more mature than it's counterpart, one thing is that in the anime they take out some religious references, the action also seems to be less violent or at least mature when it comes to just seeing akuma explode in an almost comical fashion. The anime isn't bad but it could be better.

D.Gray Man apparently is one of those series where the story is better told in the anime than in the manga. The manga skims on details a little too much.

That said, for a manga, it certain emphasizes more on the story than fight scenes.

i thought it was crappy but i decided to check the second episode last week and i found out its one of those shows you just need to skip the first episode or you will miss a wonderfull show.

i am already in 68.

i love how they kill main characters and that the good guys are far from being super strong.

I recently started reading the manga and watching the anime, and I adore this series <3 The recent chapters, especially with the level 4 akuma were soooo intense, I thought the drama would never end. I've heard the manga is on hiatus though because Katsura is ill or injured? That really sucks, I hope she feels better soon. Just as things getting crazy, a long pause, lol. At least the anime kinda of fills the void. I love Lavi and Kanda, they are so awesome. I loved it in the manga when they grabbed Allen's sword and helped him fight. I am working on two sketches of Lavi and Kanda, but only the Lavi one is finished.

D.Gray-man is my number one manga at the moment. It was number two until Bleach had those dumb powerups (kendo :cookie), so i boosted it up to number one. Ive always loved D.Gray-man since chapter one, and it has yet to disappoint me. Love the series.
