I have to say that at the beggining i was really enthusiastic about the whole episode being great, but it only last for the 2-3 first minutes. :(
The whole Ulquiorra VS Ichigo was superb until Ichigo supposedly 'pwned' Ulquiorra, after that both animation and drawing was dropping so bad..
Renji against Szayel was good too, and i didn't like the Orihime one (perhaps i didn't like from the very start :(..).

I guess i know why they pimped so much Ulqui's intro, to mess up the fight so bad:cry

Well they have already managed to extend the szayel x renji fight.......so I am sure they could of dragged it a bit longer. The Loli and Menoli thing was also extended...I know what Id prefer watch...:rolleyes:

i don't think it would've worked as well though. that "fight" was supposed to be all about Ichigo one shot owning Ulquiorra and Ulquiorra returning the favor and showing him just how he's still not strong enough.

nicely done though, im glad the animators saw how important that part was n spent some extra time on it. wasn't as good as last weeks though and the rest of the episode was iffy in some parts. Szayel's fraccion are... (well they were moving to the beat of that tacky bounto music so yeah.)

The fight was handled awesomely. It's a shame the quality went a bit after that, but thank God it was high quality for the time the mask was out, which actually, dare I say it, looked quite good in places. Ulquiorra looks awesome throughout.

Yes, and I will.I liked the recap music a lot, it sounded almost like a Bach piece. The animation for the Ulqui/Ichi fight started off pretty good, but by the end it was pretty mediocre. Szayel Aporro's fraccion moved rather strangely, and the "cartoon physics" seemed a bit off for the rest of the episode. Engh, at least we have GRIMMJOW to look forward to!!! (not to mention shirtless Ukitake). :D

From the look of the preview last week, the animation looked like it was gonna be bad, but it was actually good for most of the episode. It did go down on the filler scenes but overall it was a nice good episode.

And of course, Ishida comes and steals the spotlight by making his badass entrance. I mean, of those who dont read the manga (and dont read the episode titles), did you really expect Ishida to come out of nowhere? :P

Another great looking episode the animation was only off when Ichigo was running, and whenever it showed Loli&Menoli except Orihime looked pretty well animated even though they didn't. The Fraccion looked funny moving all slow-mo like that so it's acceptable and it kinda catches their more Hollow essence. I really liked the fact that Ulquiorra's Ceros aren't Red but Blue instead plus it doesn't hurt your eyes as much.

Anyway, very good episode, I'm glad to see that they didn't shy away from showing Ulq's hand stuck in Ichigo's chest. Animation was pretty good except for that one scene where Ulquiorra was talking. And I agree with Juunana that they could've lingered over his bare-chestedness a bit longer! Heh heh.

So far, so good, the animation still looks pretty nice. The extended orihime scene was great too even if it was mostly of a flashbacky nature. Plus I didn't know she had lights in her cell! Heck, SHE probably didn't know wallowing around in the dark all that time! O_o

Ulquiorra's fight lacked a little detail in some parts, but I can't really complain since the animation was smooth.

The scenes with Nel were a riot. Loved Ichigo's face when he got head-glomped. :D

for a while now they've impressed me with the anime vs manga in the HM Arc~ up until now the Manga has always proved more entertaining... I loved how Ichigo was all excited about going full power and defeating Ulquiorra... all while Ulquiorra is just letting him do whatever the heck he wants and gauging his power with one arm XD there's alos been talk about Ulquiorra origionally being a Vasto Lorde as well~ (compare his half-helmet to the outline of the head of a Vasto Lorde) the Golden was great... Anything that always had a lot of blood that was shown has been in black and white, (Ganju cut by Byakuya, Renji cut by Byakuya >_>). If it wasn't it was either dulled down (Aizen cutting Ichigo), or some what censored (Grimmjow ceroing Luppi).

But the beating and the lifeless eyes should be next episode. Cause its when Grimm busts in and when Nell sees Ichigo.

EDIT: Actually the lifeless eyes episode would be the episode after the next because its after Szayel gets hit by the counter attack.

BTW 40 chapters till anime catches up.
