"Gar" according to urbandictionary.com means:
A term used towards male characters and individuals who are so overwhelmingly manly that your own masculinity is absolutely *buried*, leaving you naught but a whimpering, swooning girl-child before them.
Originated in 4chan's /a/ board. A poster was describing his feelings towards the Fate/Stay Night character Archer, and mistyped "gay" as "gar".
"Episode 14 left me totally gar for Archer."
"You are gar for badasses, but gay for traps."
For the past six years, the Japanese 2ch has been host to SaiMoe (http://animemoe2007.hp.infoseek.co.jp/english.html), a tournament to determine the most moe character in all anime. In response to this, SaiGar (http://saigar08.michaeldodd.net/) was created in 2007 to determine the most manly and badass character.
This year, Bleach was represented by Ichigo and Kenpachi. But our Ichigo had been asskicked in Round 1 by the time I found out about SaiGar. That leaves Kenpachi, who had triumphed against Guchuko (Potermayo) and Mukuro (Reborn) in Round 1, to face off against Claire Stanfield (Baccano)--the one who outvoted Ichigo in rounc 1--and Roronoa Zoro (One Piece), today at February 14th!
