There was a piece of paper posted on the door to every single division headquarters.
"Please congratulate 12th division's Keiji Otowari for achieving the rank of Captain. He may appoint any division member as his Vice Captain."
Further down there was another message.
"The 13th division captain position is still open. However, the position of Vice Captain has been assigned to Nakamura Kaito Kohana"
"The 11th division interviews are still being conducted"
The irony, of course, was that niether Keiji nor Kai were in soul Society, they had been sent on a mission deep into Hueco Mundo.
