This was on the news all day. Basically 2 car bombs wer by chance discovered in 2 mercedes and defused. They believe Al Queda is to blame as a messege to the new Prime Minister taking power. Lucky thing they didn't go off...

Yeah I just saw it on the net. I'm glad they were able to stop it. The police officer who went in that car diffuse the trigger was amazing! He risked his life to stop it rather than watching in the sidelines calling for back-up.

^ Yeah, I give my props to the officer. He deserves something for diffusing those bombs.

Was on tv all yesterday. I bet its because our Prime Minsiters just changed so someone wanted to make a spark. I dunno if its terrortist because that just seems like an easy excuse tbh. I just think it was an attention seeker. Would have been awful if it went off over 1000 people could have been killed O_O.
The officer who diffused it needs a medal he saved so many lives.

Although I don't live in the UK, I guess I agree. There is always opposition to things like these, I guess, and I guess that's what happens. And yeah, the officer should get a medal for his work.

Geez, this is a scary thing, especially since right now they're thinking these were 'home grown' terrorists! I'm glad they managed to catch the bombs before they blew, and that the bombs didn't detonate as planned. Technically these bombs weren't the best made, and I sincerely hope they don't get any better.
But as I side note:
She was speaking after government emergencies committee Cobra, chaired by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, met for the second time in two days. The G.I. Joe fan in me is dying. :p

Lmao, FH
Another attempt was foiled today. An SUV rammed an airport security barrier in Scotland. The attack may be linked. 2 men were taken down and arrested.

I have a friend who's either left TODAY or arriving this Sunday from London. I'm just praying that he's not going to run into any more difficulty in his flight and getting over here! *fret*
It always saddens me to remember that there's people who will pervert their faith to harm their fellow man to "make a statement." :< Few and far between, yeah but enough to make life miserable for the rest of us.

That car into the airport was just insane. That makes me feel more like its because of Gordon Brown because hes Scottish. They don't even know when to give up >.<

It is extremely worrying to hear about all these bombs in London >_> just hope nothing goes off. Amazing job by the policeforce to defuse the bombs and the people who discovered the smoke from the cars to report them.

as a foriegner living and workin in central london i must say, i was i awe! of the Metro Police, i've never seen mobilisation like that before. I was so gobsmacked it was like *cooool* rather than *oh **** theres a bomb*
On a lighter note I love how the Londoners couldn't care less about the bomb/bombs, all i ever head was " dammit its gonna take me forever to get home now" *classic*

What!? They don't care! But if the worst case scenario occurred what would they be thinking?

Londoners appear to be a different breed, or maybe its just the british *shrugs* when i say couldn't care i mean like not scared to semi-indifferent, not like in a heartless way.
Ye they've foiled what 3 attacks, one in Haymarket, one in glasgow, and one at alexander hospital. They arrested one doctor (a neurosurgeon i think) on his way to liverpool in connection with the london bomb. I still dont get how they find them so fast, when they knew nothing about it, it really impressive
Edit: wait i think there was also somethin at park lane inna carpark that makes 4

Yeah pc technology is so great. Apprently some of them had been on file as acting suspcious. I dunno about that Dr from the Alexandra hospital that must be some major phorensic stuff going on there. Apprently they have arrested an 8th person in connection in an Aus at Brisbane airport. None of them can run and hide they might as well just give up.
