Awesome! Thing is....I can't understand Japanese. Oh well.
Okay I finished watching...
That was actually awesome :D The fight scenes were well animated, and the majority of the episode had sweet art as well. Animated Aaroniero is actually pretty cool...
And the Arankaru Daihyakka made me actually laugh out loud XD Gin got glomped...hahaha
The new outro was surprisingly cool as well...
OH OH OHHHHH I wonder if the Aaroniero fight will now be left until Ishida and Chad are finished...

Pretty neat ep, I love nejibana <3 The Ed didn't do much for me but Gin sure made me laugh ;)

Not that bad an ep. Nice animation the whole way through. The fight was well done. Looks like it's back to Ishida's fight next ep. Hmm.
I actually liked the new ending. I liked the way it was done with box and everything outside being black and white. Of course you have to have some mods souls. :D The song really isn't very catchy, but it's not that bad either.

This was a nice Ep.
Gin at the end was a bit cruel, though!
Thanks for the links guys!

This ending actually got my attention. I thought it would suck like the rest of 'em but I was wrong. Best ending in my opinion.

The ep was alright. The only thing I liked was seeing Nejibana in action. Hell, even when he was twirling it for show, I enjoyed it.

Oh wow Al, you need actually watch more the endings. If then after that, you still think that this one is your favorite, then that's ok. But I think most will agree that a lot of the old ones were better then this. Newer ones just seem "cheap" with lots of corners cut, when compared to old ones like Thank You, Houkiboshi and Life. Even Happy People had gorgeous animation. It's been down hill ever since Hanabi. Though I did like the song Hanbi itself. :D
yes yes yes yes yes ^_^
Aaroneiro was always one of my favorite Espada, although his release is a bit clunky he seems like a well suitable Espada, and I'm glad the animators didn't cheat him of his show (Water was great, the liquid in his container was great) My only problem is they had filler fight in the beginning. That wasn't the problem, the problem is instead of having it all at the beginning they could have spread it through the fight, because near the end it seemed a bit rushed, that's my opinion though.
The ED was okay, i kinda liked the whole Hueco Mundo scroll at the beginning, its kinda foreshadowing/what everyone is currently doing... What kinda ticks me off is Aaroniero isn't there but Luppi is >_< And so is Yammy, he's hiding in a corner somewhere why even give him those 5 seconds of showtime? >_<
Velius
01-09-2008, 07:04 PM
Hmm, that is strange that there was no Aaroniro in the ending. Would make sense if Luppi wasn't there. haha. Btw, I just noticed Kon is riding Yoruichi. ROFL>

I so love the new ending. The song was pretty good, also, Kon ridding Yoruichi made my day. (L)
The episode was so good. Aaroniero Kaien using Nejibana, god, how I waited for this since he did it at manga. Colored pics and so.

This episode was indeed made of win. Just yesterday I had re-read the entire Rukia fight so I know exactly what they're talking about, without having to wait for subs. ><
Gin was made of more win though. :P

Good episode. I wonder if they are going to finish the fight between them or skip it until the Chad and Ishida fight is done and then resume it. The preview didn't show Chappy or Kaien. I guess next week will answer more things.
A very awesome episode O_O the best fight in hm arc so far ^^ the animation and the art are so great..it feels as if it's not bleach => kaien is just so handsome in this episode >O< even better than the manga in my opinion :love
I enjoyed the fighting so much..no wonder the anime is always better tan manga when it comes to shounen stories, at least most of them ^^
I think they'll go back to ishida and chad battle then go back to continue rukia's fight ..that's what the titles of the eps tell so that ichigo's reaction won't be messed up <_<
Either way rukia was so awesome ^_^ go rukia ago

YES. That episode was made of WIN. I was so surprised that the animation was up to par with what happened in the manga, all the drama and such.
Gin being glomped by Bawabawa was pretty sweet though XD

DB subs are up. Unless it's a troll. :3
It might be another troll from them or the actual release since DB tends to mess with their watcher's. I'll just wait for Flomp-Rumbel even if takes them a little bit longer.:D

It's real, my download finished. Honestly, I was expecting a troll considering they claimed to cease subbing. Their opening message says to report some guy claiming to be them who is uploading their subs to YouTube.

I actually liked this episode! I couldn't stop staring at Nejibana in action: it just looked so cool! I want a trident to twirl around for show... XD
Anyways, the ED was... OKAY. it wasn't that special for me. The song wasn't even very catchy either. Oh well, it wasn't horrid either so its fine. It got me smiling at Kon riding Yoruichi.

I really enjoyed watching this episode. Aaronerio's bottle head looks pretty good lol :D

They did quite a good job sticking with the angles from the mango. Minimal Bount music made me happy. :) Actually heard some battle music from the first and second seasons in there.

I didn't have time to watch the raw yesterday, looks like everyone's reviews for this episode are quite favourable. ^^ I wonder if airing every other week for Bleach will improve quality for each episode... Still stuck outside at the moment, can't wait to watch it plus hear the ending!

good that the DB subs is out
and isn't Rukia suppose to do her third dance in this ep..
I really need to watch the ep >.<
As a prediction for next week, i do not think that the Rukia-Aaronieri will be concluding...i think we'll have a cliffhanger for Rukia, then go straight to Ishida and Pesshe.
Speaking of the episodes, i love the way it was being proportionally 'dragged' so that they are not eating up too many chapters - which consequences spells filler. Great animation, great pace, nice character interactions and subtle connections..
...let's hope they preserve the quality.

I think it was an excellent episode, quality and fight were great. I love Nejibana and its ability, Aaroniero was a perfect psycho and disgusting with his ability to eat Hollows and absorb their reiatsu + abilities. The new ending was funny( Kon riding Yoruichi X°DD) , except for the song, I don't like it too much. I really hope too the next episodes preserve this quality, great stuff.

I like the new ending song... It's better than last one. Kon XD
It's a good thing to see Rukia fighting, cuz before this arrancar arc we didn't see her fighting. I really like her release, Sode no Shirayuki. But I think Aaroniero's release looks horrible...

And here is a picture from the Arrancar Encyclopedia! (This AE was one of the best...)

The ending song's good, like those revolving animation stills. Everytime Rukia releases we are going to expect a good fight. Aaroniero's release is supposed to look horrible...:D

Eeeee! Whoo, another good episode. :D There was so much cool stuff in it. The animators did a great job, (but Renji looked wonky) and Rukia looks fiercely determined throughout. Even when she's on the losing end of the exchanging of blows, she somehow manages to get out of it and retaliate.
Her cape/robe was also animated very well. I still think that she should get one as a permanent accessory for her Shinigami uniform.
Good action, good horror (and I'm usually not a fan of horror), nice dramatic moments, and once again the Seiyuus did a wonderful, wonderful job. Fumiko is awesome. :yay
It's nice how the animators are allowing us to see Rukia use her two dances more, they're so pretty! :inlove
(more rambling about Rukia's dances under tags)
I wonder why there was a moment in which Rukia had to release Shirayuki again? It seems like it was done to recreate/make the ribbon at the end of its hilt longer, maybe whenever Rukia does one of her dances, the ribbon gets shorter, so she has to re-release her zanpakutou after awhile if she wants to keep using her techniques? It's the only reason I can think of, other than providing a power-up for the next attack. (Hehe, it almost looked like Shirayuki was taller than she was at that moment, but it was only because she was holding it a few inches off the ground. XD) Both Tsukishiro and Hakuren was nicely animated, especially when she froze the floor first by stabbing it. I wonder if that's how Kubo intended it to be, or if the animators are taking creative liberties with it? Either way, it looks nice. If you ever need an instant ice skating rink, go ask Rukia. XD
If Aaroniero didn't have Kaien's experience and knowledge of those attacks to fall back on, he would've been toast. Err... more like a popsicle actually... Rukia's Kidou Combos would've been the thing that burnt him to a toast. *gets shot for lame joke* :nuts
Speaking of which... wow... those combos were freakin' excellent. I'd always wanted to see it animated since I thought it was an extremely well done sequence in the manga, and I definitely wasn't disappointed.
(whoo, more tags. There's also stuff about a possible translation error! :D)First a surprise attack with Way of Destruction #33, then a linked attack with Way of Binding #4 (I think this was incorrectly animated, and that it's supposed to look like the technique Gin used on Zaraki to tote him away after they asked about Rukia's pending execution in the SS arc, or the technique that Yoruichi used to tie up Byakuya's arm from releasing Sebonzakura on Rukia and Hanatarou on the bridge in front of the Repentance Cell) straight into that six-cane light prison, followed by that twin lotus blue flame crash. So very, very intense! Especially the look on her face. :wtf
But here's an interesting bit of news, I came across another board saying that DB translated the spell number wrong, and it's possible that the scanlators did too. In Wiki, there are two spells under Way of Destruction #63, the one Kuukaku used during SS, and the one Rukia just pulled. But if you listen to what Rukia actually says in this episode, she clearly says "Hadou no nana ju san", and I looked it up, and that number is #73...
So Rukia is capable of easily pulling off Kidou spells in the #70s, while interspersing it with yet another spell. (Simultaneous Incantation for both Six Cane Light Prison and Twin Lotus Blue Flame Crash) She's definitely a very talented and very versatile Kidou user. I wanna see more Kidou from her in the manga! :yay
I also like how Nejibana looks when it's released. It truly is a formidable weapon; not only can it pierce, it can crush the opponent with a massive deluge of water. Rukia's pretty darn good to have escaped it as long as she had, but she won't for very long... :( and it just goes to show how talented of a fighter she is. He knew her moves, but she knew his as well.
And boy... Aaroniero finally unmasked is very creepy and disgusting looking, and as he should be! His grotesque appearance was captured perfectly, but I wouldn't have pegged his released form to turn out to be dark purple, it seemed like Kubo intended it to be a lighter color in the manga since it was mostly white, instead of a darker gray or black.
Tags for spoilers for future events and rambling about crack theories! :nuts
When it bursts later (in more than a month from now  :yell ), we'll be able to see exactly what caused it... I know it was Rukia's third dance Shirafune that ended it... just how? I wanna see it animated, so I can see precisely how the attack works. Kubo's a good artist, but that whole sequence was a bit unclear to me, and I'm waiting to see the animation team's take on it, since with the added elements of motion and color, things usually become easier to make out. (This brings up an interesting question... if the animators are unclear about how certain events or a sequence in a fight went down in the manga, do they ask Kubo for help/to clarify, or do they just wing it?)
If it's just Rukia reforming her zanpakutou's blade with ice and then stabbing, then Aaroniero's released form burst because he got stabbed in the head and was in the process of dying (eww). If Shirafune works the way it's described to work in Rukia's wikipedia article, by continuing to freeze everything in its path after piercing something (I doubt it) snow and ice formed from Shirafune and caused his released form to burst from the inside, or the coldness of the attack turned his deteriorating body into slush (double eww).
The only reason I'm interested in this part is to see if the animators interpreted things the same way I did, and if so, it could validate one of my pet crack theories, that the room Rukia and Aaroniero (and now Byakuya, Isane, and Hanatarou) are in froze over after the fight was finished and Rukia collapses; meaning that it could be Rukia herself, without the aid of her zanpakutou (which was both broken and in sealed state at the time), or a physical manifestation of Shirayuki *nods at yllanger* that caused it. :nuts
If Rukia's Shirafune attack is seen to be the cause of all the ice and snow on the floor and walls, then I'm probably wrong about my crazy little crack theory (wouldn't be the first time), but if it isn't... then perhaps I have a chance of being right. :crazy If anyone wants to read more (and I mean a whole lot more XD) about this crack theory of mine, just look up my earlier posts in the Rukia FC. I think I drove quite a few people crazy with it. :crazy
Ack, if you can't tell by my rambling, I'm very eager to see the next installment of the Rukia vs. Aaroniero battle, but in the meantime I'll be perfectly content with watching Uryuu's fight. :D :yay I think I like watching his and Rukia's fights more because they're more based around strategy, cunning and improvisation, rather than just brute strength. There's a certain... finesse to it, I guess you can say.
So once again, I think that this episode was very nicely done! :yay

:yayWOW, TV Tokyo hit a home run this week. What a way to start 2008.
This episode was a$$-kicking good, just as everyone says. The animation was excellent, voices were excellent, content was excellent (of course, this is the good stuff here!)... Rukia's kidou, yeah!! Just be careful if you plan to watch this back-to-back with Naruto Shippudden 42, as I did. You may squee yourself into oblivion! :crazy

I loved this ep. The only thing that got me was Ulqui's "look" but all the rest was fabulous. Here is hoping they do more in this same quality. They kind of put Gin messing with the passage ways in a different order and I kind of don't get that. (I hope they add more training shots with Kaien-Dono I loved those scenes. Especially since Ichigo isn't the only one who can give Rukia a piggy back ride!!) Seeing Rukia fighting mad was good!!!! Poor Aarinerro (sp?) dosen't know what's coming to him/her.
