Apple's iPhone comes out today, anyone planning on getting one sometime in the future? Or now? :P

From what I've heard, it doesn't have a good plan (or area coverage) atm. The plan rates are uber expensive compared to other plans with more features. It also doesn't support Firefox.

I'd wait for the second generation (those are always cooler *looks at iPod ;_;*).

Safari is almost as good as Firefox, imo. I've just used every now and then.

But you're right on the phone plan, it's the only thing thats making me not want to have it.

But everything else, it looks great. I just saw this 20 min vid of all the things it can do and it left me smiling XD

I want to know if aside from 4/8gb ipod capability, the phone and webbrowser is really good enough for me to bust out 600 for it. 600 is a rather big investment.

Looks sweet. I like the idea of all the locking and stuff

For me, it's a cool idea, but you know the second generation's going to be better in regards to color and tools available.

But for a lot of that stuff anyhow you're gong to have to pay for the features, so IMO what's the point? XD

*pets macbook*

I don't get what's the big deal with this phone o______o I mean, we have lots of phone that basically do the same stuff and are less expensive o______o or is it due to the fact that the US used a weird cellphone system while the rest of the world used a better technology?
...

It doesn't even use 3G o_____o how can that be a net phone?
....
Nor the next technology for the net via cellphones o____o

Looks nice and fancy, but I don't think it's necessary for everyone. It's not something most need, right now. I think I'm in the boat that will wait for the second generation, that will be out very soon anyways. That decision is even easier for the starting price they have it had.

Heh..as much as I loved my iPod, which died on my last may after ONLY 1,3 years of service I don't think I will get this phone, whenever it will be out in Holland anyways..They only plan on taking it to the 'higher' market France, U.K. and Germany. If it finally hits the dutch stage and is 'free' maybe I'll take a look at it..but for now it's not even worth it. The browser's too slow just to name a few and tooooooo expensive.

I stick to my Ipod like glue, i dont go anywhere without it. But I lyke most everybody else would wait for the 2nd generation. They are always better and are usually bugless unlike the first one's.

Meh Riekie, I think in France it won't do very good. We already have a bunch of phones that do the same thing, why bother? >____> and it's so expensive too >___>

oow soo true! Almost every phone can get on the net and download music etc etc. yeah..if it's $600 in the U.S. then it will be €600 here..although not fair..I think it will be more expensive.

yeah..maybe the iPod/Mac fanatics will get it...but then again why..if you have a phone which can already do those things?

My phone is kinda old, but works fine, I'm gonna wait for the 2nd generation though, and then decide.
