Bleach Asylum New Styles

Over the next week we will be adding some new styles for BA. To change from the default style go to the bottom of the forum and you will find a drop down menu where you can choose your preferred style. For now we have only added one but more will follow ;)

If anyone else is interested in making one please contact me and I can give you the dimensions and a style to match it with.

If you find any problems with a new style (missing image files etc) please contact me and let me know.

I can't see any images in the new style, though I have the feeling that's the fault of my browser/computer not the website, since it's being silly with images recently. I'm going to try it in Firefox and see if that makes a difference, and if it does I can comment properly on it :)

having red as the standard username color is nice (it looks great with the green and pink username colors)

Yeah guys make sure you clear your cache etc but you are switching it right? It won't just show up you need to select it. Sorry if that sounds dumb but maybe you missed that part?

Erm, just to say that: the new layout needs a bit longer for me to load new pages and when I want to rep ppl, I have to wait a few seconds till the box appears ;_; I use Firefox, it's not the case for the default skin. Just wanted to comment on that hehe.

Well we are updating the site so things have been running a bit slowly, we will work out any bugs slowly but atm im more worried about if something won't work or doesn't show up.

Yeah one is already made with Orihime on it, hime--chan made one with the rescue team from SS on it. It will be online later :)

I just have a little question? On the Ulquiorra style, isn't the font a little small and "chubby?" I think I just need to get used to it or not use that one u_u.

All in all, I think they are really good.

lol alexie, ileenka made those banners and i think not all styles/headers will appeal to everyone but people are donating these for free and giving up their time so I'd hate to complain ;) there are going to be many so hopefully if you don't like one you will love another :)

I love the Grimmjow one :inlove ! But, the SS one is nice too... As for the Ulquiorra one... It's too---- gray for me :D But, all of them are nice overall! I'm surprised there is a Grimmjow and Ulquiorra one- I thought Ichigo would be the first one to be made- but I guess I was/am wrong :D. Somebody is a Grimmjow fan like me! Ok dark ichigo is up and i must say i love it, thanks again to ileenka for the banner on that one and nez for doing the hard coding that a noob like me can't manage. Things may go a bit slow at first cos of the updates but don't worry it will soon all be running smoothly ;) deleting your cookies etc helps also.

All of the new styles are amazing. I really like the variety with colors and characters. For the color scheme the Ichigo and Grimmjow are my favorite. The Ulquiorra one has a nice clean look that is the easiest to use so far. They all have their good points I'll have the check them out more. Thank you to everybody who worked on these.

I dunno how soon we will be having more new skins since I just found out BA needs to move servers >_> It shouldn't take too long at least.

I don't know about just Rukia but maybe, it comes down to what ppl donate and the styles available to us.

Actually, proper skins for headers are hard to come by, and even when one is willing to pay for them, sometimes their designs are not fit to house the headers and that's usually the main problem in fixing and installing styles.

You probably know that most free and available skin searches are exhausted over the internet. Perhaps if some people are desperate, one would probably have to go through the trouble and hassle to talk to a skin developer to customise a skin properly.

Besides, I don't think we need 2 to the power of 99 possible combinations of pairing headers when most fandudes are gay over Kenpachi first and foremost compared to RenRuki, yet we aren't doing any Kenpachi.

I'm not trying to be rude here but I think you should contemplate over the issue of available and compatible skins rather than mass producing a bunch of pairing headers too freely. Some of these skins need updates and possible maintenance as well when a new vb version is released.

I kind of agree...this shouldn't be turning into another pairing contest with bunch of headers with all the possible pairings involving the same people (but if we are doing that, I'm looking forward to a Rukia harem one).

As someone interested in making skins, I wouldn't mind making character specific skins. We all at least have our favorite characters regardless of pairings. I'm all for making divisional skins and/or individual captain and individual vice captains and the ryoka (sans Ichigo since we already have several ones) and Szayel & Ulquiorra.

Damn bleach has too many great characters.

Yes, I am already in the process of making an Orihime header. I have already selected the image, and have extracted it. I was looking for a skin compatible with it the past few days, as well as looking for skins compatible with other headers we are working on atm. Don't worry, I promised in the earlier pages in this thread that I will make one so I will. :)

Yeah I understand, it is easy to assume a lot of people here like RenRuki, but in the larger picture, I'm sure a lot of people here also love UlqHime, ByaRuki, KiraMomo and the list goes on and on. But we don't have the time and resources to fulfil every pairing needs. The problem is not about making headers here.

We are backlogged on Szayel and Orihime at the moment because we need to find a skin that doesn't give Space and Nez five hours to grill over with. Basically, that's what I'm trying to say. :)

Yeah, I never worked with forum layouts before. CSS just blows me off, period. I have a hard time as it is, making CSS layouts and stuff.

Plus, I thought some of the skins that Spacecat was getting were free? Unless you guys found better ones?

Guys settle down, we only really had an ichihime and an ichiruki cos on BA they are popular, it doesn't mean we are gonna have every pairing under the sun and we would prefer non pairing headers. In line for now is the ichiruki one and the Szayel one and then we shall see. We kinda have an idea what characters are popular on BA and are trying to make headers based on that.

@Annie: well, red is one of my favourite colours, but it was a plus that it wasn't already used for BA (since I think people will seek different styles for different tastes). And in the end, we chose the red one on your request :hug

the Rukia, Orihime, and IchiRukia are all really good. Suprisingly i like those more than the Ichigo dark one:eek:

the light blue background and the red work really well (without hurting my eyes:p)

The style you are talking about was made by the people at vbskins, we are only making the headers for them and trying to make it fit properly with the style. It doesn't sound like much but omg it can be a pain :lmao

I was using the Grimmjow because it's easiest on the eyes but the IchiRuki dark red is awesome (so beautiful, syn, and so stylin'). It will be mine until Szayel's--in which case I will use Szayel's even if it's peacock colored and irridescent because Szayel deserves the worship!

The header in Orihime style is gorgeous <3 Although from what I read here it seems the part that is the most pain is making everything fit so it's a bit unfair for me to compliment the header maker only. Actually, I do admire you for doing that, the most complicated thing I've ever done that had something to do with forums was installing phpBB hacks and in spite of being told exactly what to do each time I still used to fail a lot. I'm an antitalent, it seems.^^;

I'm sometimes not very fond of red but I'm so in :love w/ the IchiRuki one. Lady Orihime made the Orihime one not ileenka ;) I put in the first post who made what but these people only made the headers, to see who made each style look down the bottom of the page for the creds. Me and Nez installed them all and made the headers work with the style.
