Reputation FAQ

How do I use rep?
To use rep use the little blue square with a tick on it at the top right side of a post. Just click it and choose positive or negative.

Can the person see my name when I rep them?
No they can not so if you want them to know it was you please leave your name. Mods can see who reps them though! Just a warning XD

If someone neg reps me what can I do?
If you have any problems then contact an admin or super mod. We will most likely not reveal who neg repped you and will deal with each situation differently depending on the circumstances. Most of the time a neg rep will stand, we will not tolerate flamey comments in neg reps however.

How many points do I give or take?
It depends how many points you have yourself. An admin will automatically give or take 50 points minimum from the start.

What are the custom rep stages?

Since we encourage insanity here at the asylum:

- -10 0000 is so normal that they define normal GTFO
- -50000 is the perfect human specimen
- -10000 is almost the perfect human specimen
- -5000 has got their life in perfect order
- -1500 is becoming a model citizen
- -1000 gets away from the computer more and more
- -600 has banned comics and junk food
- -400 Is starting to get healthy and fit
- -200 has stopped regular therapy sessions
- -100 has been taken off medication
- -50 has been released from the asylum
- 0 starting to see things that aren’t there
- 10 starting to think they are a shinigami
- 50 has been checked in to Bleach Asylum
- 100 is in regular sessions with Dr. Kurosaki Isshin
- 200 has been diagnosed as a Bleach addict
- 400 has been checked in to ward: Bleach
- 600 is seeing Bleach chibi’s flying around the ward
- 1000 is claiming the hougyoku is inside them and Aizen is coming for them
- 1500 is waiting to be saved by Kurosaki Ichigo
- 5000 is trying to call out their zanpakutou so they can free themself
- 10000 has been moved to solitary confinement, Bleach addiction worsening
- 50000 is under heavy sedation around the clock to stop kidou chanting
- 10 0000 has been admitted for life unless a cure is found

About the sig dimension. Would it be alright if the sig was wide, but not long ? So it can avoid taking too much sig space, but jst enough to be the exact size ? lets say, for example: 570x273 ... its exactly as wide as the area provided for the sig, but not long so it would take up too much.

Yeah i had no idea what to put for that it will change. Suggestions are welcomed.

I think the approx width for the reply/sig area is actually 540 pixels, the space when your preview a sig is actually larger than the space you have to post it in on the boards.

Just that it depends how many rep points you have along with your post count and join date as to how many points you would give or take when repping someone. There is a formula to it and we are on vbulletin default. I can look it up if you want?

There is no cap for the rep points. It gets heavier and heavier.

@spacey: ah, thanks. I wasn't going to ask to see it, but meh, didn't hurt. ^.^ So normal members, like me, start out with zero rep points, whilst admins start out with 50? Is that what that means?

Nah admin does gives or takes 50 points, I started on 0, it's just about when i rep someone what they get...or lose, though I have kinda put off negging since it's completely unfair :)

Its okay, when I first joined a forum I had those questions too.

- highlight the piece of text you wish to hide, then click the 'SP' button.
- click preview post, and you should be able to see a 'spoiler' button.
- post.

2) Using spoiler tags on images:
Exactly the same as above, except that instead of highlighting the piece of text, simply highlight the image link.

Hmm I don't think that's possible for these forums. That would take up the forum's bandwidth, which we have a limited amount of. That's why it asks you to upload on an image host instead. :)

Like...you type in your reply, and then it does like the circle thing where it's like, processing it...and it takes awhile, so you just press refresh and submit it again? Yeah that happens to me too. Umm...get a faster Internet connection? Maybe upgrade your browser...there's not really anything you can do with cookies or settings or anything. :o

hmm...
this is difficult. if a mod or yourself made a physical delete, then its not possible to know. if it was just a soft delete, then you would actually need to know where the message was deleted, which is particularly difficult in a large forum like ours.

If you see a post of yours soft deleted a mod can tell you what it said, if it is totally gone they can't unless they were the one to do it.

I'd like to know if it's possible to integrate Bleach vocabulary/words into the dictionnary or something. I mean, it would be quite useful in cases where you don't know how to spell someone/something's name correctly or aren't sure... like Hougu-something and Aaronierro or dondolinni, and so on... o_o;;

Just for knowing, when you post a spoiler tag, the following mesage opens up:

"Please enter the option for your [SPOILER] tag:"

Just what does this mean? Cause I can write whatever I want and the spoiler appears normally. What's the meaning or use for the option?

Pretty much it's an option in vBulletin, to put text on your spoiler tag, that isn't on or activated on this current skin. That's what I got anyways from my limited use of forums. :) I usually put adgahfg;aj, or something of the sort. lol.

if you want to free up some room for more text don't have all the things in different colors, that takes up a lot of characters;)

each of us regular members have a set limit of sig pic size and how many we can have

if would be best to reduce the sixe of that pic

that should help free up room as well I believe

Well I could be wrong, but I don't think we each have personal albums here on BA, we just insert images from other sites

although it might be different for attachments

but there is no personal photo album or anything
