And for the sake of discussion... What is your favorite CLAMP manga, guys?
Mine would be TRC, because not only it was my first manga, I'm also in love with all the characters there. Plus we get to meet so many characters from other CLAMP mangas, which is awesome! And besides, I love Kurogane. ;)
Though I've heart that ALOT of people like X, mainly because of Kamui. I'm currently reading X~ So I'll find out if it's better than TRC or not. :D

Here are some interesting facts about Mokona (I couldn't help myself...:rolleyes:) :
- The original character of Mokona is from the series Magic Knight Rayearth (MKR). The original couldn't speak, only say 'Puu~' XD
- The two Mokonas from TRC and Holic were created by Yuuko and Clow Reed, after they met MKR's Mokona. They decided to create the Mokonas beased on the Mokona they met, only with a few changes (such as the Mokonas could speak! :p) The name 'Mokona Modoki' is a general name that refers to both Mokonas, however they do have real actual names!
- The white Mokona is called Soel.
- The black Mokona is called Larg.
- CLAMP have published a childrens book called Soel to Larg: Mokona=Modoki no Bouken (Soel and Larg: The Adventures of Mokona=Modoki). That book tells the history of the two Mokonas, and it also have lots of cute new Mokona art by CLAMP! :D

I've read a translation of the book somewhere. It's soo cute! It's written for children and it tells the story from the Mokona's point of view. There was one scene where Mokona said that it seems like Yuuko feels lonely and she misses Clow Reed, to which I went 'awwwwww :love'.

Gotta say I love your sig. That OVA was awesome, much better than the TRC anime in my opinion. The OVA was closer to the manga than ever. So glad that horrible anime is over, since the fillers were getting out of control.

Btw, since you mentioned Code Geass, don't you think that Suzaku looks like Syaoran while Lelouch looks like Kamui (TRC version)? Ahaha. ;)

Yes, I think, Suzaku=Syaoran, and I'm fangirling to both of them. Though Kamui doesn't have the evilness Lelouch possess, they both have purple eyes and black hair. Make them twins in Clamp world.

And yes, I love the Tokyo Revelations. I hope Clamp won't put TRC in the hiatus work, just like how they did to X/1999. I was clawing out my hair because of that (where's my Subaru??!! :yell)

Hrmm... favourite work... I'm gonna have to think that one out; it's so hard to choose. >_< CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan (aka CLAMP Campus Detectives) was one of the first anime I ever watched besides Sailormoon. XD

The hiatus on X/1999 isn't wholly their fault; they're just refusing to finish it because the publishers didn't like the ending and wanted them to change it but they refused to. I want to know if Sorata lives, damnit! And what happened to Arashi?! :mad:

Welcome, Lone Wulffe! :hug The first anime I watched was Card Captor Sakura, which still remains one of my favorites to this day. I haven't read the manga yet but I intend to! :D (Though I heard the anime is better...)

The hiatus on X was the only thing preventing me from reading it, since I didn't want to read a manga which isn't completed... but I couldn't wait anymore! :yell So now I'm reading it, haha.
About Sorata and Arashi... (have no idea what you are talking about since I just finished vol 3), but you can see both of them living as happy married couple during the first arc of TRC!! (CLAMP can be such a tease sometimes! :rolleyes:)

@rei_ai - oh god, I hope they won't!! Though they have been publishing TRC chapters very slowly lately... same goes for Holic chapters! They are so lazy, hahaha. ;) TRC seems to be coming to an end, though. It's just a matter of one or two more volumes till the manga ends in my opinion.

Hahah, yes, CLAMP are known to be unproportioned with guys especially, lol. At least during their ealier works when Mokona was drawing most of it. For example, when I was reading Tokyo Babylon at sometimes Subaru would have such HUGE shoulders and TINY waist I was wondering if he's still human, hahaha. :rotflmao

As for SxS, they're my fav CLAMP couple too! :yell Although since TRC has two Syaorans now it's very hard for me to decide which one I like best! So I fangirl for both Real!Syaoran and Clone!Syaoran and may the best win one, lol. :p

Btw, which one do you prefer? The CCS SxS or the TRC SxS?
I love the CCS one because at first Sakura and Syaoran fight with each other alot but as the anime progressed they started to care for each other just like ichiruki.
And I like TRC one as well since it's obvious Syaoran loves Sakura from the start, and Sakura too, only she forgot >__>' but she's starting to fall for him as well even though she doesn't remember their shared past. :love

Anyway, Sakura and Syaoran is my also all-time favorite Clamp couple, and actually not just in CLAMP's works, but all of manga and anime. I never ship or love a pairing that much. (okay, I lied. I did ship two other pairings in my life like I eat too much peanut butter and drink coke and eat mentos on the same time.)

Haha, I'm more of a sucker for angsty couples than cheerful ones, so I prefer TRC SS. Syaoran is very polite, and Sakura very meek :uhuh. It's nice to have their personalities changed.

Oh god, I was sobbing and crying after I saw this pannel. Syaoran--!!:cry Kuro-rin's past was so horrible and terrifying for him to watch, even though he didn't want to and tried to let go of that book many times. Not to mention that Kurorun is my fav character too. I was crying for both him and Syaoran.

I loved volume 7 of Tokyo Babylon! It has all sorts of goodies - including Subaru-kun with his confession ("I think I'm in love with Seishiro-san!" Ahahaha! Sooo cute!) plus right after that, Sei-chan shattering all of his dreams and hopes and almost killing him. Sush a CLAMP-ish ending!
Also I'm still not over the fact that CLAMP made the cute Subaru-kun start smoking! :yell But I guess he can't help it since he had gone through so much in his life, lol.

It's too bloody and gory to be a shoujo (in my opinion at least), yet it's too... I dunno, angsty and the boys characters are drawn too beautifully to be a shounen. :rolleyes: What genre is that? I'm reading TRC now and Syaoran fighting is so smexy to the eyes.

I'm glad that they put some blood in the OAV. The anime series is too conservative in showing characters' guts flowing (-_-).

As for X, yes, it has too much blood. CLAMP has no mercy when they 'shred' (butcher) Kotori's body (-_-), leaving her head to bury.

Their stalker is Seishirou (with buddy Fuuma). Seriously, those guys are sadistic and likes to torture little boys. Yup, very CLAMPy.

And yes, gottaloveanime, there should be a CLAMP genre. Shoujo-ish shounen with weird pairings :uhuh.

And so, R!Syao vs. C!Syao are fighting. I don't really know how to picture the ending of this whole series (-_-). but it will definitely have a happy ending CLAMP is a really a sucker for 'wishes'. They are the ones who control their character actions. Fei Wan Reed maybe a perfect villain, even if he's not as gross as Taishakuten..

On a lighter note: My CLAMP collection includes Chobits, which is somehow perverted in my opinion. I was quite surprised when i learned it was made by CLAMP. Not only did they change their 'artistic' style, they put adult theme and Chii is very hentai-ish for me *MOE MOE*

X is shoujo with angst story and a lot of blood...
Beautifull boys chara is called bishounen and it's very common in shoujo manga (especially in CLAMP's because you can see bishounen everywhere :D)

They can make dark, serious and bloody story like X and RG Veda till cheerfull, funny, and simple story like Fushigi no Kuni no Miyuki chan and Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon.
I think the reason why CLAMP have so universal genre in their mangas is because of Ohkawa sensei brilliant brain (she admitted that she had the idea about X storyline when she was in the 3rd grade...) and CLAMP's experience as doujinshi-ka.

Now that you mentioned it, even if Card Captor Sakura is a very light manga, I found the pairings disturbing (except for Syao-Saku, of course XD), that I was embarassed to let my little sis watch it. She'll say, 'what? Touya is gay??' >_< Even Kaho and Eriol pairing is kinda disturbing, but I guess, you can call it CLAMP's love XD

As for yaoi, Subaru and Seishirou is also my 'favorite', since they are so canon XD. Even in Tokyo Babylon, you can't help giggling whenever Seishirou flirts with innocent Subaru ~ and it's Hokuto approved, LOLz.

About X movie:

yes, it definitely sucked. No plot development, the characters are very OOC (SeixSubaru are no love...Kusanagi is very brute...no Kakyou T_T..etc..). It only looked like a massacre movie to me (-_-).

Atleast the anime TV series is better, although they killed kamui and karen (although i was kinda expecting this).

And by the way my favourite CLAMP was Card Captor Sakura mainly because it was my first manga I was 12 when I saw the TV Show and everyone in the school LOVE IT! even guys watched the show!and LOVE IT too!! and that's something because we had at that time "Post Dragon Ball" mood and we were hoping for new shows...We were suppossed to have the American Version but fortunately,we got the original version with the originals OP and ED only dubbed and the voices were not bad!(we also got the movie) and of course we went all WTFOMGBBQ?! with the pairings especially Tomoyo's behaviour and Yukito/Touya O_O but then we like it even more!!!XD Sakura-chan/Syaoran was my first favourite pairing ever(and now they share their room in my heart with Ichigo/Rukia)...The manga was a little bit more disturbing because it has more Rika/Terada-Sensei O___O And I could see more differences with the anime.

I love Clamps works, I loved X, I loved Tokyo Babylon, I loved CardCaptor Sakura (although I had to endure the butchered dub when I was twelve), and now my latest obsession is Tsubasa *points to icon again*

And Tsubaki, I love SxS as well :hug and Tomoyo's selfless love usually made me cry, Touya/Yukito usually made me squee like a banshee but SxS is my ultimate pairing--I love them so much in TRC. AND CCS OWNS SO HARD.

Although this is a CLAMP FC, I can't help thinking that this is a TRC-eccentric FC since I keep rambling about the series :D

Anyway, the second installment of Tokyo Revelations had been released and I can't wait for the sub :crazy. I read the summary at RC, and according to the reviewer, the animators are doing an excellent job in this ova, (atleast to compensate on how bad the anime series was made...I'm fangirling about those, tho). With those screencaps, I cans ay they made a high-quality anime, and I keep fangirling on how gorgeous Subaru is. Among his 'versions', I like the TRC Subaru best (next to Tokyo Babylon version :D)

As for the current manga chapter..ohmigosh..Sakura got stabbed and there's another revelation about her having a clone soul...now Clamp likes replicating their characters T_T. Maybe a bit better than killing their characters in the most brutal way...

LOL Yeah Sakura is a replica! yeah I think is a little bit better than killing>_< (you know,is find this a little bit funny since some people complain that Kubo doesn't kill anything,but it seems that CLAMP likes to organize killing rampages...I can see the four of them laughing maniaticaly and drawing at the same time)
The OVAS ARE AWESOME!! I like the OP!!!! I actually never finished to watch the two seasons of the anime,but I saw the OVAS and the animation is like :eek: and the character designs are beautiful but Real Syaoran took off his eye very easily

I actually JUST watched the second OVA for TRC...Subaru is goregous as is Kamui! I love how they looked in TRC, I think the art became even more beautiful since the days of Magic Knight Rayearth.

As for the NEW TRC revelation...that chapter made me CRY. AND SAKURA is a CLONE. I think that goes next to eye eating in the list of repetitive plot twists XD I was actually surprised, although I'm kind of mad that the REAL Sakura didn't fall for C!Syaoran. I suppose everybody is happy this way.

Tsubaki88: Harhar...TomoyoxKuroxFai ish canon :p When I first saw TRC, I already support the KuroxTomoyo pairing, well..maybe because I want Tomoyo to be paired up with a guy other than Eriol and Touya T_T. I also liked the way Fai punched Kurogane. I somehow felt Fai's manliness, LOL.

Even still, R!Syao is in love with Sakura. When the clone soul said "I am not your Sakura", I went "hanyaaaaaan". The real Sakura belongs to the real Syaoran XD. CLAMP likes sweet words...yes, they do. Still, the clone Sakura really loves clone Syaoran...too perfect and CLAMPy. Definitely a plot twist and I can see the end of the C!Syaoran, and so TRC will have the REAL characters finally.

Now I am wondering whether the real Syaoran had known Sakura even before the TRC timeline since he knows too much. (and since he's a descendant of Clow Reed, maybe he knew about the powers of Sakura, thus when Fei Wan Reed knew that he will be a hindrance, he decided to imprison him after making him a clone.) Just a spec since I don't know how this series will proceed (except R!SxRS will conquer in the end :yell) and maybe more narrative will be done including the connection between Watanuki and the real Syaoran.

New developments:
- Sakura is revealed to be a clone too! :eek: (<-- exactly my face when I read that part)
- When Clone!Syaoran stubbed Sakura (accidentally, of course) she disappeared to a milion Sakura petals... but not before she finally told him she loves him. ;____; THAT WAS TOO SAD.
- Sakura told Real!Syaoran that his 'real Sakura' is waiting for him!
- Now, Real!Syaoran wants to start a new journey - He wants to go and search for both Sakuras! Because... You all know it already.... "I won't let Sakura die!!!!! :yell"
- Korugane and Fai will join Syaoran in his journey.

OMG. Those scans are love, gottaloveanime! Especially the angst one...:love I swear, TRC will be the death of me. I squee and sob at the same damn time while reading it.

But I have to admit, I kind of lol'd at badass!Sakura--I think she's too cute to be badass. Although it's a pretty nice attempt.

Sakura 'dying' was so beautiful! I couldn't help but lol though because everybody was worrying about sakura's body rather than her soul dying. The same Sakura that has been travelling with them this entire time! :yell Although I don't think they know...or do they?

And rei_ai, I loved it when Sakura said that too~ It's very clamp of them to make everybody happy; although I'm so sad that the Sakura we knew this entire time is...well, DEAD. Ergo, death was beautiful. As for Syaoran knowing about Sakura beforhand, I always used to think that R!Syaoran was CCS!Syaoran, although I don't think that can be the case anymore. It explains somethings, but it clashes with a whack of others.

Well I just went from volume 15 to volume 23 in like 3 days. I am so freaking traumatized!!

What did Watanuki wish for so that he had to pay with is memories of his parents? Why the hell doesn't he remember? No wonder he is so confused in xxxHolic. Yukko is pretty freaking expensive!! Everyone like, has no powers anymore!! Tomoyo-Hime lost her dream vision powers (Which wouldn't that make her useless as a dream seer? ) "Fye" lost an eye and got vamped against his will and lost his remaining magic in a wish, Kurogane lost an arm and is Fye's bait, Clone Syaoran lost his heart and stole Fye's eye (not to mention, find out he's a clone), Real Syaoran got imprisoned and was released but like no one is that close to him and Sakura-Hime is a clone and dies!!! Where the heck is the real Sakura-Hime? From what Fei Wang Reed said she dosen't exist anymore? She disintegrated? Who the heck does Fei Wang Reed want to bring back? Does any Sakura-Hime exist anywhere? Gah this is driving me crazy. CLAMP really likes to make their characters suffer. I have no idea if this will be a satisfactory ending for me, because there is no way poor Kurogane will get his arm back for instance (or Watanuki get his parents memories back). Yuuko is not the type to do refunds. Poor Clone and Real Sakura-Hime!!!!

EDIT: Lost this in my post the first time but how could Yuuko allow Watanuki to pay for something with the memories of his parents? I thought Yuuko cared about him!! How could she accept him giving up something so precious? She had warned him the past about certain wishes (sort as warning him, it's something she would not want to do, like with Himawari-chan and her problem). Couldn't she just extend his servitude? For this reason I am starting to dislike Yuuko. Especially when she claims to be a softie. That and all the crud that happened to clone Sakura-Hime. I am so sad and depressed now. Here's hoping I can sleep tonight.:cry
