Great episode and excellent fight at the end. :D It's been a long time since I read that chapter, but are there any filler parts in this episode? I'm not very sure on the dojo sparring part...Looks like it does explain Gin's part in moving corridors.

yeah, the hand in warm light scene was extended, some fight scene extensions and the sparring match never happened... I don't like the order in this was going, people are going to forget the hallway manipulation later when 2 other people are paired against a certain people... and its kinda stupid that they one shotted Renji, (guys are probably like, "Make sure you show Renji's expression even though we're not going to show what happens afterward yet!")

But I do like this fight, mainly cause I like Aaroneiro.

Side note, looks like Ichigo dons the mask in the 2nd movie :P

I've been waiting for this episode to come out since I read the Rukia vs. Aaroniero fight in the manga, and man, it didn't disappoint. :yay

Fumiko, and whoever the Seiyuu for Kaien is nailed their roles perfectly, and the mood shifts were also done excellently. Who knew that things can go from touching to sorrowful to funny, back again, and then into all-out action without things being too jarring?

The mini flashback was so cute. :inlove

And the animation...wow. Gin was a bit off IMO, but for the most part it was very nice. The release of Sode No Shirayuki wasn't as dynamic as I thought it would be, but what came next more than made up for it.

The extended fight scene was great, so now we know what move Rukia used to initially freeze Grimmjow in place before she used Hakuren on him.

Can't wait to see her fight more and use her Kidou combo on Aaroniero in the next episode. Unfortunately, it's not going to come out for another two weeks. :yell

However, I don't really like how they mixed up the sequence of fights from the manga though, and from the new episode titles, it looks like we're going to get a cliff hanger for this fight in the next episode(Probably ending where chapter 267 left off, since I don't see them cramming chapters 265-269 into one episode) and then have it continue after the Uryuu and Chad fights have been completed :yell

But once again, this was a good episode. :D

WOW, just WoW! This episode was sooo beautiful (mostly sad) but soooo good! The animation was just epic win and it seems like the next will be the same quality.

Goddamn, Rukia's VA stole the show. She did one hell of a job. I havent felt this much emotion put into voice acting since Yagami Light's VA in the last episode of DEATH NOTE. Big Kudos to her. :)

As for the scene rearrangement, putting this 1st will flow better into where we are now in the manga:
-Ishida's current fight affects his next fight, which is still ongoing
-Renji's fight is also ongoing
-Chad's fight directly lead into an ongoing confrontation as well

Pushing Rukia's fight earlier will increase the pace of those conflicts and make them scene less disjointed than they seemed in the manga-- IMO.

Agreed. The pacing somehow feels a lot smoother the way it is now. One of my big problems with Hueco Mundo is how clumsily it's paced. It's nice that Pierrot took it upon themselves to try and rectify this.

Wow, awesome episode. I agree that the pacing feels much better this way. I loved the ferocity that Rukia attacked Aaroniero with... it was just mind-blowing to see Rukia completely pissed off in the manga, but seeing it animated with an ubertalented VA is even better.

Can't wait until the next episode (ugh, January 9) for some kidou pwnage. And hopefully (actually, likely) they'll stretch out that flashback some more.

Had the emotion it needed. Rukia really fought with some serious anger there. didnt think id ever see her fight like that.

The quality was pretty damn good, hopefully they continue like this for a while.

I really enjoyed this episode. Didn't get the opportunity to read what happened in the manga for this fight, but I knew it was coming and so was very happy to see it. Such a sad one though with Rukia wanting so much to believe that the espada is really Kaien. And the anger that she feels when she is asked to kill her friends in order to gain his trust for her again and the scenes that ensues was just O.O

I finally got around to watching this episode. I think the Rukia/Kaien bit is one of the best parts of this arc and it seems they are doing a good job with it. Rukia's seiyuu is amazing, so is Kaien's; the switch between emotions was done with great expertise.

I am a bit miffed with how they gave Ulquiorra and Gin the short end of the stick! Gin sounded so cute yet looked terrible. I can only hope Ulgy is gazing threateningly with his (supposed to be)veridian eyes at those lazy bastard animators responsible for that scene.

The animators just generally hate Ulquiorra. (but they loooove Ikkaku...and Szayel looked wicked last week so I'm hoping their gonna start and affair with him too...)

I only really flicked through this episode...Thought it was gonna end with KaienKlone releasing Nejibana...The next one should be wicked if it's done right :)

I can't wait to see what they do with his released form... If it's anything like the manga, it should be amazing to see it animated in proportion to Rukias tiny body ;3

I like how they added that little kendo bout between the two of them~ It made it seem more like Aaeroniero was trying to gain Rukias trust and root his mind-games deeper than in the manga where he just cut her face right off the bat ;x
