Sounds quite interesting, I love movies which deal with the future or alternate reality. Just wiki'd it to see what it was roughly about and then I read about the critics and this and that.

Spoils the movie experience hearing review I think. Hard to tell since its all opinion anyway but at least they weren't bad things being said about it.

I was kind of mad that they changed so much from the book. If you go to the movie without expecting it to be faithful to the book or if you haven't read the book it is a really good movie, though.

I loved most of the movie except for the corny ending.

whee, she found utopia. how'd she get out of new york? or in, for that matter? i thought it was totally quarantined, blown up bridges and all. imo, that should have been explained.

also, useless kid ftl. he did nothing except draw out sympathy from the viewers that she's dragging him around. he could've been taken out and there would not have been any effect on the movie. no negative effect, in any case.

the rest of the movie, however, was very well done, imo. i loved how the story unfolded itself in an unforced manner and how things were explained without explanation, like when neville tells sam that he can't get infected, partly explaining why he's still alive.

speaking of sam, i almost cried when she died. ;__;
3 years with her and he was forced to kill her because she got infected and because he couldn't cure her. goddamn.

Slev- Oh, I haven't read the book but I might because I thought the movie was great =) Definitely a 9/10, Will's acting and the way the story was built up, including the horror, was fantastic. The re-watch value is high in my opinion ;) *Thumbs Up*

I liked the movie. The stupid zombie things though. God no wonder why everyone died. Those things are beasts! I did cry at the Sam part, but now that you mention it, how did she get in and out of the city. Also, I agree the kid was pretty much useless except for comic relief when he pulled the knife out on will smith's character. I really liked the movie though. I thought it was awesome!

Will smith has this thing that whenever he cries, it makes me want to cry. Hes been doing that to me since Fresh Prince. So when he walked up to that mannequin and broke down, i was pretty damn close to crying myself. He acted the shit out of that scene

Though i thought the movie was shitty.. i still have a Mancrush on Willsmith, hes pure ownage.

He is such a good actor, if he does not get a nomination for Best Male (Oscar) i am going to cry. He needs an oscar for this film!

I just saw this movie yesterday. I even paid the extra 3 bucks to see it in IMAX just so I could watch The Dark Knight prologue (which was totally worth it, btw.) :p

I thought it was okay, and wasn't as bad as some people who I talked to had made it out to be. Although I'll definitely say that I enjoyed the first half much more than the second. Will Smith's performance was probably my favorite thing about "I am Legend". I started crying when he finally talks to the female mannequin after Sam dies and begs her to say "hello" to him.

I agree with Riekie that he should definitely get an Oscar nod for this. :)

I saw this movie, and i must say it was VERY good. It was very thought provoking, and heartbreaking. willsmith was amazing in it.

Nah, there won't be a second, as far as I know, there's only one book and there has never been a sequel made for I am Legend (book's been made into a film 4 different times, though).

I thought the movie was ok--- but more 'horrible'... I mean, come on... Will was good in the begining, but than he did stupid stuff you know. I mean, come on- going after a dog!?!? Now, I can understand being alone to not lose your mind and all, but, that was just a little crappy... Although the monsters were NOT zombies.. I mean, that guy was smart to set up that trap and all! Although, I wouldn't have been dumb enough to appraoch the statue.... Pfft! And then when that girl showed up..... *Sigh* the movie just got a little worse for me... But, I can say that Will was a good actor and all... I just think something is missing from the movie....

Well, don't take my opinion too personal, everyone has different views for movies and all. So, don't judge it until you have actually seen the movie yourself! :D

I think the movie rocks. It was kind of depressive, but I really like the idea of how people shouln't play with the nature and think of science as something higher. Trying to play gods brings people do dehumanization and destruction...and cool stuff like this.
Will Smith is an awesome actor and he proved it once again.
Btw, for me the saddest part was when he talked to the doll-woman an said "I promised a friend to say hello. Hello then... hello... please, say hello to me". And this brings me to the Naruro episode (hah, sorry it souns stupid) when Gaara said ' Noone can survive the pain of loneliness'.
Just imagine if you are the last person in this world, and you have noone to speak to... that'z just awful.

after watching it again, i realised that sam saved him twice, he jumped on 1 dog and then the other dog that was on him. Personally, i thought sam was going to fight against it, but i think ive been watching too much anime for that to hapen XD

It is a Classic.
Will Smith is such a Bob Marley Nerd.
And they ended it with the perfect song
"Redemtion Songs" By Bob Marley. That song really put the emotion in the end

Movie was awesome, i loved it, had wonderful emotion expression and really touched you. I agree the ending could've done with a bit more work, but it really just played out till they got away after that it just lost it. lol the writers made such a godd epic they bailed on the ending.

will smith, the womn and the boy are behind the glass at the end ofthe movie with all the zombie type guys trying t get to them. they smash on the glass and stuff then simth realizes one ofthem just wants that zombie woman that was on the hospital bad thing behind the glass.

they open up the glass door, give the zombie woman back to the other zombie ppl etc...

smith, the woman and the boy then drive off into the sunset looking for survivirs etc..
making me recall what happens is like torture. i didn't want to remember.

However, both endings are completely different from the book. There was no woman and boy, and Smith's character was sacrificed and a new breed of those zombies...in fact, humans become a rare sight...or something I cant remember LOL

Sorry for making you remember Tari but thanks anyway I suppose that was a happier ending for the movie since he didn't die. So now that I know both endings I like the first one more for the sacrificial attack which was cooler well thanks again:).
