AGP: Actually Saya never dies in the series. Since she her lifecycle is stay awake for a couple years then sleep again. She ended up killing Diva, bringing Diva's babies to Okinawa,and then going back to her chamber and sleeping for another 30 years I believe. XD

There really are a lot of possibilities for an extended storyline... but most all would generally be based on Saya's neices... who knows, they could get cut and accidentally turn someone into a Chiroptera~ Saya went to sleep the say the children were born too... so it would seem they only get to see her one single day every 2-3 years they're awake (if that)... which means they could get into real trouble without proper guidance~ they could learn what Saya did to their mother and resent her... or they could be kinky in bed and bite someone too hard x.x;... I wouldn't be at all in shock if Amchel still managed to survive too if Haji did~

hey there's a live-action blood the last vampire movie coming out.

i know it's not blood+, but it's still about saya. just a slightly altered storyline...in fact i think it is set around one time she went crazy, like b4 the first episode.

In May 2006, Bill Kong, producer of the acclaimed movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, officially announced that he will produce a live action adaptation, and Ronny Yu (Fearless) will be directing the film.

As of September 2006, Ronny Yu disclosed the first preview aspects to the film's story in an interview for Ain't It Cool News. The film is to be set at a United States Army camp in Tokyo during America's occupation of Japan right after the conclusion of World War II. When asked if he will be moving the story to the present day, the director denied so, vehemently replying that the movie will look more visually stunning if set at the midst of an immediate post-WWII Japan.

Technically, if it follows the canon of the film and subsequent works, the movie can be considered a prequel.

Ronny Yu further disclosed that filming will start in early January 2007 in Tokyo, Melbourne, and Buenos Aires, with a release date for the movie to open in the United States expected in Spring 2008, although this has recently changed. The filming will now be starting March 2007 in China and Argentina. Film director Chris Nahon as of mid 2007 has taken over directing duties of the live action filming of 'Blood: The Last Vampire' from Ronny Yu.

Korean actress, Jun Ji-Hyun (My Sassy Girl, Windstruck) will play the role of Saya. I was a hardcore Karl/Diva shipper. I wanted my batshit insane (but yet still strangely cute) OTP of the show to run off into the sunset, leaving a few dozen mutilated bodies behind them. T_________T

I also shipped Hagi/Saya from the first episode, but I thought that Kai/Saya (which is totally not my type of pairing. >.<) would be canon.

I ship several other pairings from the series, but those were the two main ones.

I think Solomon ruined his own chances with Saya by being so outwardly forward and basically assuming being sweet and promising her things will get her to go with him... i mean... he didn't really KNOW her as a person... but from the Chevalier perspective, he knew she was very innocent and sweet and that they would have eternity together... I guess if it weren't for Haji or Solomon being so forward they could have made a cute couple too...

Well, the thing is that Haji stabbed him right through the chest, so his internal organs probably began to crystalize before the outside, thus being impossible to rip anything off. And watching the episode again, he was totally crystalized when Haji told Kai to get Saya away from there.

Sad that way of doing that now is if she has Nathan's kids. But whether or not Saya herself wants to be a mother is another matter.

It wasn't a mistake in the fact that they were right that the only way to get the queens pregnant were with each other’s chevaliers. And Diva wanted kids; all she wanted was a family. It was Joel who mis-treated her, and Amshel who poisoned her mind. I'm not saying Diva didn't have a choice, but she was really a 5 year old in a 100+ year old body.

What they didn't know was that the Queens had natural invulnerability to each other's blood. Only way to make yourself vulnerable was to get pregnant and deliver the babies.

Well, I think Saya had a DAMNED GOOD reason (or rather, reasons) to be emo, so you can't really blame her. XD

But I could only really ship her with Hagi. It just seemed...right. KaiSaya had a more sibling type of relationship, and as I'm EXTREMELY close to my own siblings (and cousins, which are like siblings), I hate to see that kind of bond go any further than that. Solomon/Saya was just far too idealistic for my tastes. Karl/Saya...I ALMOST shipped it. ALMOST. Who said emo is a bad thing? lol, the reason I started watching Blood+ was because a friend told me it was an emo anime basically~ if characters are always "normal", why would you watch anything? It's the freaky, eccentric, emo, and torn up characters that make a story what it is... those who fill the gaps and keep it moving are just there for plot design XP

With Solomon, at least he elaborated on feelings to a point where he seemed sincere and made some sense... even though he was too caught up with the fairy-tale he created to see that he hugely stepped over his boundries~

Solomon/Saya, I did support it but everything he promised to her just sounded like a fairy-tale. As much as he does love her, he cannot give her everything that she wishes for.

@marie I think Luhy was referring to the girls from the school that have gone missing. All of them were Saya-look-alike. They were said to be the fairest in every batch. Other students also said that having black hair and pale white skin just like Saya is cursed because the phantom will take them during the night.

But I think those girls had gone missing even before Saya arrived to the school.

Yeah I love how they mould different parts into this which can occur in real life in relationships. It's cleverly written that way as well especially the KarlSaya one.

I prefer Hajisaya if am honest and I can see why people don't really pair her with anyone else but i understand the logic of SolomonSaya and KaiSaya. Solomon had no choice he was oddly obsessive as well with her but not in the same way of Karl.

what happened in Solomons mind was idealism really~ you can have a crush or puppy love with someone after one encounter and think about them a lot... you can even convince yourself it's more than it was too~ I think he was taking advantage of the fact that Saya had so much pressure on herself and was already so emotional about everything... It was almost like when Gin gave Rukia hope about saving her from her execution then walked off~

She knew it could have been an option and probably would have considered it if she didn't have memories and feelings for Haji from years and years ago across time~

Solomon reminded me of myself when I was like 15 in that scene with Saya... I had a huge crush on a girl I had only known for like a month but couldn't get out of my head... eventually I "confessed my love" to her and told her about everything she made me feel and where we could go together, what we could do together... but it was dumb, because as I was talking, I almost felt as if I were trying to manipulate her to get this ideal life that I knew I couldn't get somewhere else~

blood+ is one of the animes that's in my top 10 list (not sure if i have one xD). loved all of the OPs especially the one from Hyde 'Season Calling' :wtf i remember listening to that song and watching the OP over and over again..(haji was sooo coool in it!), but i nvr really did watch the EDs , mostly coz of the slow music, but the one by Angela Aki was really good.

and hmm, my fav pairing is got to be SayaXHaji ^^ he was just made for her, tho i wish he could be a bit more expressive...just a tiny bit. he is cool the way was, no need for more alteration in the characterization. but i hated it that he was soo weak at first, as well as saya :P
my favourite episode is ep 23 ^^ the flashback of Saya and Haji about how diva was released from the tower. can remember it at the back of my head, since i've seen like >5 times xD
