Does anyone else love this critically acclaimed, yet sadly underappreciated show. In my opinion the best comedy in the last 7 or so years. The Bluth family has to be the funniest family in sitcom history, Great characters such as Tobias, Gob, Maeby. Its no wonder that many have gone on to future success.
America unfortunatly doesn't know good comedy and instead would rather sit through fart jokes on According to Jim, or other stupid men jokes like on Two and Half Men, but I guess surburban america likes safe comedy, instead of smart comedy, and thus we have the down fall of Arrested.

I enjoyed the show, but I never got to see it much. It had a really crappy time slot, at around 8 PM on Sundays, one of the last things I am thinking of on a Sunday is making my schduel around a half hour show. I did greatly enjoy the shows that I did catch though.

One of the reasons it died was because of the time slot, it was terrible, at the end of the show Fox gave it I think the worst time slot of all time, I think it went up against something like Lost and CSI or something, they wanted to kill the show.
It was also a show that had a continuous storyline, so you kind of needed to keep up with it, perhaps not the best idea when you consider its a comedy.

My farther was able to see the show more than I and he was a big fan of it. Do you know if they have it out on dvd?

All three seasons are out on DVD, I would recommend them, I have all three, the show is actually funnier when you see it a couple episodes at a time, because the stories all go together, and there are jokes that carry over.
I think there is also a pretty funny commentary for a couple episodes as a bonus

I got into to because I loved David Cross in Mr. Show, so when I saw him in a new show, I had to watch it. Then I saw the creator of another great cancelled show, Freaks and Geeks, also directs episodes. It was a win/win for me. Except, you know, when it got cancelled. At least I have the DVDs of both shows.
I'd have to say my favorite episode is Good Grief. That Charlie Brown parody is gold.

I have too many favorites to pick one, also David Cross is great in this show as Tobias.

Someone from another forum I post to sent me this...
AD movie? (http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2007/12/06/jason-bateman-refuels-hope-for-arrested-development-movie/)
It would be great, and because it was a continuous story, I think it could transition into a movie without slowing down. Shows, or even comedy sketches, the get stretched out into a movie often feel just that: stretched.

I've heard about this, I think a movie would be great, but I think the premise works better as a tv show, just because the story drags out so long, with all the legal proceedings, and the schemes by all the members of the families. I always held out hope that the show was going to move to ABC or to HBO, like was being talked about. I always think what that show could have done, if they had no limits like they would have had at HBO or Showtime, it would been greatness

*bump*
So apparently more and more cast members are coming out and saying that there's a movie. I just caught an article on Digg that with Jeffery Tambor saying that they are doing a movie.
Then there's Jason Bateman (and David Cross) on Olbermann. (http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/cc_insider/2008/06/david-cross-lin.html)
Now, excuse me while I go explode with excitement somwhere...

Definitely one of the funniest shows of our time, I actually feel like watching the episodes all over again now.

OMG! An Arrested Development movie!!!! My god that would make my year, it was the best comedy on T.V a few years ago, nothing could really come that close unless you included a few cartoon comedies, it was the best live action comedy since Seinfeld.
Fox should just bring back the show like they did with Family Guy, it's a lot better than that show, a lot smarter as well.
