I never really got into the Anime. I bet it's because the anime seems more geared towards little kids rather than us big boys (and girls). ^_^

but other than that the anime is pretty okay.... I don't really watch it, but the animation is, overall, pretty okay though there have been some ridiculous eps with dislocated noses and stuff XD

Right then, came here to fangirl the anime, cause the new arc started and I'm FIVE - and am now off to read the manga, which I had not bothered with 'cause I thought it would be the same :lmao

The censoring stuff seems to be a bigger trend now, I think it may have something to do with making anime appealing to a broader western audience - they censored Card Captor Sakura, so yeah, they're bastards.

I got into this anime yesterday, and hell, I'm a nerd already :sweat. I must once more thank BD for introducing me to it. 80% of the first 20 episodes were quite boring XD, but oh well. BD told me it would get better as time passed and, well, I really liked from 20 onwards.

I've just started watching Reborn, and i've found the premise to be pretty interesting, at having watched only 1-2 i am a little disturbed by the fact that tsuna must lose all of his clothing each time the dying will bullet hits him, is all that really necessary?

I was so surprised that in the anime the Mukuro and Varia battles have been earlier than in the manga. The manga drags on for chapters and chapters until it gets to the Mukuro battle.

Interestingly enough, why is it on episode 63 (something like that) we see Shouichi Irie? He was introduced early in the manga :confused: And why no Longchamp in the anime? :cry

maybe cos, like it was said already, anime is for younger children, if you introduce Shouichi early, then go with something else, hardly anyone would remember him when Future Arc starts.
and maybe they'd do Longchamp after the Furute Arc, like they did with some episodes thay in manga were before Mukuro and in anime after. they always need to have some fillers just in case the manga slows down, but prefer to show interesting things now when it's popular.

I dislike the fact that Tsuna is so weak in the initial episodes, with Kyoko's brother it's implied that Tsuna could learn how to use the dying will on his own, without constantly being shot and constantly letting the world know of his entire boxer collection...ugg i hate that...

KHR is not officially licenced, FUNimation is just acting on behalf of the 'property law' or whatever I should call it. On Yuurisan's forum, you can read the mail they received from a funimation crew person.

But it's still the end of the world as we know it! D: I guess somewhere someone will pick up the anime, but if not... well, darn XD

The japanese production studio was the one who asked Funimation to send out those letters. It has nothing to do with a license... It's just that the japanese studio wanted subs to stop for a few of their series~

Now... from what it looks like... they are asking us to disable all access to the materials on the site. Well... we've done that. We could probably take it down to the literal translation of their email, meaning that we can continue subbing, but just not let our work on the site.. But as of now, that's not going to happen. We're going to ride this out and see what happens.

What's going to probably end up happening is FUNimation will never get half of those licenses that they listed. So... the anime will be pretty much lost forever to anyone that's non-japanese speaking for those series. For the shows that do get licensed, it's going to take about 2-3 years or so, JUST for them to catch up where we are now (Assuming they even license the entire show. Usually they only license a certain number of episodes and leave the viewers hanging). And when they finally catch up, and by some miracle they keep licensing the show, they'll still be 90 episodes behind again...

But as for fansubbing, some other group will probably come along and pick it up, but it's a hit and miss. The cycle may go on again, but none the less, fansubbing will never stop. That's like telling somebody that Mr. Jones, who's Japanese, can't tell his best friend what's going on in a japanese show he's watching. He has to wait 3-4 years for it to come out.. 'AMERICANIZED' with crappy dub-overs, changed music, and censorship.

I can keep going on and on, they have strong arguments, I have even stronger arguments, but in the end it's all about money. Money, Money, Money.

So yea... projects dropped. Comment!! :D

Raws are still findable, but as far as I know no other group is taking over Reborn. I do hope someone will, even though I can understand Japanese fairly well and read the manga's, my sister can't XD

Aw, that's awful! :devestated I can't understand much Japanese, having had no formal training, and even if I can, by the time I translate, they've moved on to the next lines. :cry

I guess this means I now have to cram episodes before they disappear everywhere, because I haven't seen about 60 of them. :sweat (I only "flipped through" episode 96 in the hopes of seeing Uri...)

I wish somebody would at least pick up the rights for it in North America. I'd be more than happy to shell out the $20-30 per DVD if it meant being able to continue watching Reborn!. (Especially since there are still subs on the DVDs :thumbs Even if, IMO, they're not as accurate as they could be half the time)

Those of you who've seen episode 96 [raw or subbed doesn't matter]--what did you think of Uri's "official" colors as opposed to the light orange-brown most of the fandom has been coloring her?

I only recently got into the anime and it's ok; more kid-ish but I thought the Future Arc so far is awesome.

Yeah, I fangirl over 0.25 seconds of Spanner but it is definitely him - blonde, green jumpsuit and laptop. :love

the anime (while not as awesome as the manga) is pretty good right now.
in the manga one of the things I could not stand was that I couldn't visualized the whole scene. there was too many lines all over the place.
in the anime
the action seems more clear

this is one thing to appreciate.
