I especially like him when he gets "serious" when fighting, he sure knows how to command respect.:love But I think my favorite part is when he tells Gokudera how unworthy he is to be Tsuna's right hand man, and how he is suited for it instead :eek:

But I think he'd be an awesome left shoulder too :p

I wonder, what's everyone's favorite yama scene?

I love it in both manga and anime when he's training his Shigure Souen for the first time during the chapter/episode where Iemitsu is supervising everyone's training.

The way he performs both the 7th and 8th form looks so badass, it impressed me because at the time I thought yamamoto would turn into sort of like Kawabara from YYH (you know as in, just swing and swing) and I didn't take his kendo very seriously cause I thought his dad was just a sushi cook.

All in all, that moment made Yama rise to the top in my favorite's list, beating Hibari and Ryohei.

Let's go direct to the issue: I think that Yamamoto's dad was...

Now, why am I having such a crazy theory?

Well:

When Yamamoto asked his dad to train him, he asked "Why did you learned kendo", or something around those lines, and the reply was "Back then, it was for the same reasons as you".

Now, this isn't enough to prove what I have to say, the biggest proof is in the Future Arc, the fact that future Yamamoto didn't use Shigure Kintoki because he didn't have the ring. Reborn said that Shigure Kintoki only could be used with the ring, then, how could Yamamoto's dad use it without the ring?

On your theory, Grey, i think it might be plausible, after all Reborn commented on his talent as a natural-born assassin. It was a scary thought as you cant really imagine a person like him to be an evil assassin. However, it might be true as his instincts was somewhat natural to him, and he had to still remain an airhead :lmao

The same reasons however, may link his father towards similar impetus, but not necessarily similar organization. This is what i think could be somewhat a flaw in the theory, but great nonetheless. Because that could be what linked him towards the affinity for Rain :hug

I don´t know if it is just me, or someone else is disappointed with what is happening to Yama in these last chapters? I don´t know, I think this is a cruelty :notrust I´m happy to see Hibari helping him, but honestly, I don´t see why they had to do this with Yamamoto. True, in shonen, the more you are beaten, the more strong you will be... but still! We all know that he will be fine and he will pwn someone´s ass, but I was expecting him to win against Genkishi. Plus, we didn´t saw all steps of his Shigure Style.

C'mon!! Even if it's Yamamoto, he stills being a kid... no....HE STILL BEING A HUMAN!!! HE CAN STILL MAKING MISTAKES, and right, I was pretty shocked and worried because of what happened, and I addmit it, that Genkishin-bitch was a smart one!!

But don't be so hard on Yamamoto!! No one expected he would be taken down for that reason!!

I mean, If someone here had expected or predicted what Genkinshin was planning to do and what would happen to Yamamoto, then that person can say "I'm dissapointed"... but if you don't, then don't judge the poor boy like that!! :(

Think it of this way: Genkinshin knew he wouldn't be able to defeat Yama, that's why he created these illusions and fooled Yama using Yamamoto's own strength to defeat him...

HOnestly, I respect Amano-sensei's idea... first, 'cause at least, I haven't see something similar in other manga/anime, second, 'cause she's respecting everything at Yama's personality: the boy couldn't imagine Genkinshin would play a such bad prank on him and a very dirty trick!! ...third, Believe it or not, Yamamoto throws himself with everything he has, you know how strong he is, how much strength he has, and remembert that all millefore fortress is made with metal, try to think about if the damage he received wasn't possible...

Besides, try to think too, that if Yamamoto defeated Reborn in his trainning, it was easy to think he would defeating that G-bitch without anyproblem... it makes things more interesting and gives the chance to 8018 fans to get excited a little :D

I'm sure he would shine later on, because i dont think Reborn's training is only useful to have him show how sharp his perspective with his sword is :D After all, he still need to fine the connection between his Rain rings and Shigure Gintoki, which even Future Yama failed to find.

Thanks! I really like how sweet he is, and what a good friend he is. But still willing to do whats necessary too. As for pairing, I don't really have one I prefer for him. I'm generally not too much into yaoi pairings, and I can't picture him with Kyoko or Haru...of the yaoi possibilities, I guess with either Tsuna or Gokudera. :p

How do you guys think that Yama learnt the famous "Attacko de Squalo"? I mean, I thought Squalo teached him, but I´m not so sure of that, because in the current arc, he was being teached by video tapes.. Do you guys think that at some point of the story, Yama asked him to teach him?

I like Yamamoto because I've practiced w/ the sword before too, and how fast he's learned is incredible. Whenever I had a visiting Japanese sensei show me something, they would only show you once. Sink or swim, you had to memorize it.

Yamamoto plays an oblivious jock but there appears to be more depth in him. When he and Gokurdera got in that cat fight in the future, it was great when Yamamato did that spiel about Gokurdera not deserving to be the right hand man for Tsuna. That's when I really saw alot of maturity and growth in him. Makes me wonder if he just uses the jock attitude as facade.

I don't find any need to pair him w/ anyone. He's good enough by himself.

For some reason, while I think he had some training it wasn't from his dad originally.

First time, I don't doubt he actually could believe it was a game, but after so many things, I just think the way he call it "a game" was just the only way to be able to carry everything inside, like a reassurance, of what he had get into... Don't know, you know who delicated is Yamamoto in his mind (just by being able to commit suicide...)... so that's what I think, just pretending to be that "innocent".

Well, not member of Mafia I think, but a killer or assasain... I've never could take out that idea of my head, I mean it, since I think Yamamoto has natural assasain instincts, and I think they came from Tsuyoshi.......
