Of the current season Im watching:
- Claymore
- El Cazador De La Bruja
- Lucky Star
Claymore is just wow. It starts out a little meh but the story gets much better and will continue to keep getting better.
El Cazador is from the same people who made Noir. So girls with guns again. It has some good comedy and shows promise, but like Noir it seems the story is slow and will work just by having huge revelations at the end.
Lucky Star is from the same people who made Haruhi. Its a really cute and funny series. Though a lot of the jokes may go over westerner's heads.

I started only with "Darker than Black" this season, but i realized that it wasn't as good as it was said to be.
At the moment i've started Claymore and it seems to be the only TOP anime this season.

Gurren Lagann
Lovely Complex
Lucky Star
Darker then Black
Sola
Will be watching (for sure):
School Days
Sky Girls
Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~

This season I have only been watching claymore which everyone knows is awesomeness incarnate. I was watching Darker than Black but I'll probably just wait for it to finish before picking it back up. It was kind of boring, imo, but will probably be better if I can set my own pace while watching it. I'll definitely be watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai this summer. The first one was awesome.

This season I'm watching Romeo x Juliet and Lovely Complex. Not much, but that's what I'm watching, since I've liked the first episodes. I'm searching for something else to add to my "lineup", but none so far for me.
But I think I'll watch Nodame Cantible soon. Seems watchable. I've seen the manga around the bookstores. :D

Claymore - It starts off flatish as Planeswalker mention, its got great animation, plot and action. Its all good except if you don't like gore don't watch it. Lots of blood, lots of flying limbs etc.
Heroic Age - Its got great characters, plot, music, animation. Its a space/mech/future anime except its not like Gundam though. It has more of a realistic feel to the animation and characters.
Nothing wrong with it so far. Everything is great:p

EDIT: I am going to keep an eye out for Zombie Loan I am hearing nice things about it . This series has got me excited
The official website for the live-action television drama adaptation of the Negima! Magister Negi Magi magical academy manga has opened, and the site offers the photographs and profiles of all 31 actresses playing the students in the story's middle school class.
http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/2417/untitledet7.jpg
The profiles include birthdates, blood type, interests, skills, future aspirations, favorite ways to spend a holiday, and "favorite type of guy." 17-year-old newcomer Sara Wakatsuki plays the main female lead Asuna. The actor for the teacher Negi himself has not be revealed yet. The series will begin airing this fall.

well I'm currently watching tengen toppa gurren lagann, claymore and darker than black from the spring season.
I'm going to check out zombie loan and I'm also interested in bacanno

Baccano
バッカーノ!
http://i15.tinypic.com/6cdk5dc.jpg
Baccano is Italian for noise, but Narita translates it as "stupid commotion." Each of the stories in the series involves several unrelated plots intersecting and crossing each other as events spiral farther and farther out of control. Immortal alchemists, mafia operated speakeasies, and many other elements of pulp fiction mashed together for a world straight out of the movies.
-----
Opening Theme: #1: "Gun's&Roses" by Paradise Lunch
Ending Theme: "Calling" by Kaori Oda
Genres: Adventure, Fantasy, Shounen

School Days definitely deserves a mention hopefully its like Higurashi multiple endings a.k.a. arcs. I am not up for dating Sims related Animes but this caught my interest as all endings are not hunky dory

Bokurano is a pretty good series...very Battle Royale-esque. Sort of, but not quite.
Also been watching Darker than Black, it's getting kinda slow though. >.<

Really? How closely does it follow the game?
Ulquiorra

eh it's pretty close, Dante uses some of the same moves he shows in the games. If i recall correctly, the anime takes place between Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2.

Of the really new stuff:
Moetan is pretty funny, though loli fanservice is kinda awkward. Apparently it's supposed to help otaku learn English.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei I picked up on a whim, and it's really interesting, though I'm not sure everyone will like the style. Give it a try though.
Beyond that, I'm still thoroughly enjoying Lucky Star, and added Hayate no Gotoku to the list which is also pretty fun.

I am not into lolis so Lucky Star is kinda a turn off for me .. Hayate no Gotoku is fun I enjoyed the show the parodies are hilarious

I was checking new shows the other day I checked out Moetan felt like that Doreamon special episode . What is Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei like? I saw the torrent but chose School Days (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?t=553) to download

Uber-negative teacher meets uber-positive schoolgirl while trying to commit suicide before the first day of school. Schoolgirl ends up in his class. Hijinks ensue. The art style is really unique as well, I can't think of any anime that's drawn like this one.

Moetan sounds weird....
how is Hayate no Gotoku? Seen it around, never got too intrigued to try it out for myself.

It likes to lampoon other series like Gundam and Inuyasha, and breaks the fourth wall fairly often as well. It's a comedy, so don't expect much in the way of plot, but it's a good way to kill a few hours (and brain cells :D).
And Moetan is weird. That's part of the humor though.

To get a taste of how awesome Hayate is, just watch episode 10. It has nothing to do with the main story, but it involved all the characters and is beyond funny. Think Azumanga dream episode. :D
Out of the new stuff this season, so far of what I have watched, Zero no Tsukaima and Moetan round out my top 2. Lots of other decent shows, but most don't stand out as anything really special, yet.
@Geta, how can you say you don't like Lucky Star because of lolis, but then you say you like Hayate. The girls are about the same age. If anything Nagi in Hayate is more loli then the girls from Lucky Star. They are more moe. :D

I watch Hayate for its humor not for Nagi .If the show revolved Nagi instead of Hayate I would have had the same comments

Lucky Star has just as much humor as Hayate, if not more. Also the same for parodies But most of those are KyoAni references. But ya can't blame them for doing that.

I currently enjoy Lucky Star. The humor is fine, but I don“t see it as a main thing, more importantly you can discover many aspects of japanese culture, whether it is otaku life, family life or difference between old/new, poor/rich etc. etc.
But, nevertheless... I must admit that I cracked up a few times ;+)
