I've bought this game as soon as it was available, just like HTS3.
I must say the game and the ideas itself ain't that bad. But it has 2 mankos:
1.) The Difficulty: It's just too easy. Even on the hardest difficulty, it's just too easy to win
2.) The Multiplayer part: As it's a PSP game, you need other players with a PSP and that game. And even if you do have them, it's still a bit laggy.
Overall i would recommend that game, because there are plenty of Bleach Characters to play with, but if you want the best Bleach Game thats out there get Bleach: Blade Battlers for the PS2, where also a Sequel will come out later this year.

Bleach: Blade Battlers for the PS2
yeah..I heard that it was a good game but then again..I don't have a regionfree ps2/or a japanese ps2:( so that soo hugely sucks!!
*wants that the Sony corp immediately works on region free consoles*
btw..thanks for your reply Gintoki! much appreciated!! can;t wait to play with Grimmjow..although knowing it will be easy>.<
I haven't played it yet but here's a link to the official site with some demo videos of some of the power-ups.

I'm going to get this game soon, mainly because it has Nell in it. If you click on the link and go to characters you can see Nell beating up Ulquiorra.

I picked it up as soon as it came out. I have the third game as well so it wasn't really new to me. I'll agree with Gintoki on the difficulty, it is a little too easy but still pretty fun. The huge roster and other game modes make up for it. As for as translating goes, just go look up a faq on gamefaqs. You'll just need it for the missions, really. The menu is the only thing translated.

I like it, but there's clearly room for improvements.
AS for Bleach Blade Battlers, if you play it 1 pleyer, HTS3 & 4 are clearly better, but the stages aswell as the 4 player option makes BBB a good game.
It jus lacks more in combos then the HTS serie -_- not to forget the effect of spc moves(not counting L1 + R1) is basiclyu the same just with diffrent names(i mean they all more or less damadge the same, no spc effect whatsoever)
Still Aizen in that game is just made for the win^^
A second game might be good, i'd advice you to wait and get that one over buying the old one.(same as people said about HTS1, though if everyone had done that...there wouldn't bee more games)

Thanks alot for the link Mz D!
Yeah..I checked this site out about a month ago and I adored it:D I didn't know Nell was in it too (she wasn't 'shown' then) so that's really awesome!
Gah...I can't wait to play with The Gurimmjoh!!>.<
Thanks for all the tips you guys, much appreciated:D

Might be a little late, but I'll say my two cents.
Bleach HTS4 is awesome. Everything has been improved from HTS3 ranging from combo mechanics to the roster of the game. The 3 new Soul Systems (Arrancar, Vizard, Shinigami) add a lot of depth to the game seeing as you'll be determining which character is better suited for what Soul System. They even went back and worked on previous HTS characters in addition to adding in the new guys (who are all good). So, it can be seen that the developers paid much attention to detail, in addition to providing Bleach fans with solid gameplay.

Only Minus comparing it to HTS3:
Where's Karakura Super Heros :-(
Even having the anime clips would had been better then game play movies -_-
Heh, Nell's sp2 costume looks like she were to take part in a so called operation desert storm(looks like the ideal cloths for camuflage(sp?)

Well, you'll have to excuse the game for not putting in anime sequences for the fights. After all, the game itself is ahead of the anime, so the game can't possibly have anime sequences for fights that haven't even taken place in the anime yet.

I don't care for the anime sequences, but it can't be that you can win every game vs the comp, just by mashing the O button. Really, you don't even have to look at the display. Just spam circle and that's Victory. That difficulty prevents the game from being good.

I were more looking for the extra movies like Karakura Superheroes in HTS3 then the original anime clips.
Gintoki, it's close to beeing that easy, but when you can't understand the battle conditions, you can still get a run for your money trying to figgure which way to defeat the opponent.

Any fighting game fan will tell you that the difficulty of the AI does not determine how good a fighting game is. Here is just a sample of what you can do in HTS4 when you've understood the combo system instead of mashing one button.

I'm aware of combo system in HTS4. It just doesn't matter, because you don't need it, because the difficulty is a joke. Would be another thing if this was a normal console where you could play against others, but it isn't, it's just a PSP game.

The game supports Wi-Fi play with other people who have the game. In addition, if you're familiar with Xlink Kai, you can hook up with other players a la Infrastructure.
Fighting games are meant to be played with other people, so I don't really understand the excuse of "the AI is easy, which means that the game isn't good." Regardless of how "hard" or "easy" the AI is, you will always reach a point where you find out their strategies and patterns, meaning that you'll always pull off a win against them. To get the most out of a fighting game (any fighting game), you must play against other people.
I mean, you're talking about how pressing O all the time will always get you a victory in this game (which I personally think is an exaggeration). Do you honestly think you'll pull out victories for human opponents if you simply spam the O button? This is what I'm talking about.

That's why i play Bleach: Blade Battlers and Narutimate Accel. You don't need any extra equipment to play against someone. You can say what you want, but you won't find a PSP game that runs fluid on XLINK.

Well, then you can't just hold this against the PSP. It's the same for virtually any handheld - if you want to play with other people, you're going to have to find someone else who has the same system and (oftentimes) the same game.
If this isn't your cup of tea, then portable fighters aren't for you. This doesn't at all mean that HTS4 is a bad game.
Anyway, I'm done with all this back and forth talk. I've already said what I needed to say about this.

Helloo Byakuya! :D
well..everything is in japanese..so you have to figure some stuff out on a translation site (luckily I was smart enough to translate 'yes' thus understanding what I was approvingXD).
I really like the game and you don't go from mission 1,2,3 etc..no..I started with mission 6, 9..and so forth..pretty weird but fun! hahah Now I am fighting my favorite villian the gurimmjoh and I just can't beat himXD hahahah i was hoping I couldn't beat him for 1 or 2 rounds but this is ridiculous! I keep on losing:( Maybe I have to figure out how to go Bankai on him:D
heheh I could always change the 'strength' settings but hey..that's somehow cheatingXD

About the missions: You always start with mission 1, and then depending on your performance you get to the next round. So i.E if you cleared mission 1 in a fast time you go to mission 2, if not, then mission 5. So you have to master all missions to play them all.
