Crash Down All Around

[Mystic Serenade]

(Boredom demands this, all of you will probably just scroll way down to the bottom to grab the goodies anyway.)

It was another seemingly normal day in the suburbia of Lantham, New York. Mr. Johnson arrived on time as usual to work, ready to continue his duties as a bank teller. The day progressed in the usual manner as he directed the many transactions of numerous clients that arrived throughout the day. However before his lunch break something happened that Mr. Johnson did not expect.

A man slid a card towards him, "I'd like to make a withdrawal."

"Alright mister, now exactly how much would you like to..." he heard the lock of a gun.

"All the fucking money you got son, now don't even think about alerting no police," he said as he then pointed his gun at some nearby people.

Mr. Johnson stared wide-eyed as he began frantically to fill a bag with a large amount of bills. His eyes moved slightly to the left as he caught sight of his fellow teller slowly move towards the button that would alert the police.

He was able to press the button, but the shattering of glass and a shotgun blast later, he was dead.

"Now what did I tell you about callin' some damn cops, mother fucker," said the man as he grabbed the bag of money. "Alright boys, lets bounce."

It was a horrific experience, but he lived through it thought Mr. Johnson. He survived, and the police would arrive soon. Justice would be served. These were the last thoughts of Mr. Johnson right before the building exploded and collapsed upon him.

Meanwhile on a highway a ways off, Tyrone and his boys were making their get away. The sirens of many police cars filled the air behind them, and were quickly approaching. "Damn pigs, take care of them Johnny."

As Tyrone drove erratically on the road weaving through cars and causing many others to crash along the side of the road, he opened the sun roof of their Honda Civic. Johnny soon popped out with his AR-15 and began to shot the tires of the incoming police, sending two of them screeching into other cars, he got back in as they got within range to return fire. "Speed up man."

A police car rammed them from behind in an attempt to set them off course, shattering the rear window. Their third comrade Jansen quickly aimed his Remington 870 at the police vehicle's driver, firing and sending it careening into a nearby truck. They soon made their way into a nearby abandoned warehouse, but they would not be alone for long as they soon found themselves surrounded by numerous police.

"Lay down your arms and come out with your hands up," ordered a police officer through a megaphone.

"Man Tyrone, I thought you said you got this all planed out, we gonna die."

"Shut up man," he said as he began to load both his pistols. "If we gonna die, I'm not gonna die like some punk ass wuss." He quickly burst through a side window of the warehouse, guns ablaze.

"Goddammit Tyrone," said Jansen as he followed suit behind him. Johnny stayed behind to pick off those he could from the relative safety of the window.

Jansen took his position from behind a nearby cop car that he had cleared. But was soon taken down by a shot to the head.

Tyrone, crazy man he was, started walking towards the police right in the middle of it all, reloading clips in less than a blink of an eye as he went along. However this man was only a mere mortal as was soon seen as his body reverberated from numerous shots to his chest, and he was soon on the ground. The police swat team then started to make their advance towards the building.

However Tyrone was no fool, he had body armor. The police would soon regret not making the delivery fatal death. He arose and pulled out two MP5s and served many helpings of lead into the backs of the swat team. This time he would not be so lucky, as a sniper on a nearby window sent a bullet through the back of his head out his eye. However, Tyrone was deadly even in death as in his last moments he activated the explosives that lined his body, destroying much within close proximity to him.

Johnny took this chance to run as far as he possibly could, money in hand. Maybe he'd live, maybe he'd be able to use this money to help his poor cancer ridden mother. That's why he agreed to all this right? To all this senselessness? His thoughts were cut short as he felt a sniper's bullet penetrate him through the chest, knocking him towards the ground. Guess not.

Many died this day, the many fresh souls of the deceased, rose to wander the area.

At soul #21-#24

The swat commander looked at his comrades. He had failed them, he had allowed them to die. He watched earlier as they carried away their mangled bodies. He soon saw a man robed in black appear, along his side hung a sword. The sight was somewhat freighting to him. "No, stay back, STAY BACK!!!"

He tried to flee but was soon pulled back by a chain attached to his chest. He had no idea how it got there but he began to pull at it frantically, his comrades fearing for their commander's sanity. He soon succeeded but the result was not one he expected. A hole soon appeared on his chest and he gave a horrid yell as he popped out of existence. His comrades shook in fear, clueless to what just happened.

A feral cry filled the air as the commander reappeared, but not as a man. In his place was now a hollow.

i didn't really want to "fight"...although according to komamura taicho this could be my chhance tto be premoted to the 7th division.

as i higher up i may get harder missions soon. that way i can get stronger quicker.

Arachnee's garganta was much less stable than Adapalane's, but after a rough trip, Azul finally arrived at the scene.

What was this shit, some dude in some funky white robes was about to become some giant spider thing's dinner. "This be some wacked out shit yo," fleeing for his life sounded like a very good idea at the moment as he turned on his heels and ran out of there.

However the spider thing seemed to have other plans for his as it jumped at him and attempted to bite at him with its poisonous fangs. It missed, but it had succeeded in tearing off the chain from his chest. He momentarily blinked out of existence.

He reappeared not far off, now much larger and sporting a mask, his form not that much different from a scorpion. "Leiurus is the name."

While still holding onto his zanpakuto, he slightly opened up his palm while stretching his arm out in front of him. His other arm held his zanpakuto vertically right in front of his body while he began to chant.

"Kunrinsha yo! Chiniku no kamen, banshō, habataki, HITO no na o kansu mono yo! Shounetsu to sōran, umihedate sakamaki minami e to ho o susume yo!" reiatsu began to gather into his outstretched palm, which then began to assume to visage of fire. "Shakkoho!!!" (Cost: 75+646 Reiryoku Damage: 1442 Speed: 50+435 Reiryoku)

All seemed quiet in the vicinity of these souls. This shinigami seemed strong, perhaps these souls would be sent to the afterlife peacefully. But things are not always as they appear, a dark hole appeared from underneath one of the souls and chains erupted from within it. They wrapped around the soul and pulled it down as it screamed dearly for his life.

Once the screams of the human soul were no more a chain shot out once again and wrapped itself around a nearby lamp post. It strained slightly under the weight of whatever was pulling itself out from the dark gate. "I am Shadow Stalker, pleased to make your acquaintance," he spoke through his jester-like mask.

Merry Round, Spin Around: Throws his chains to wrap around the target. He then spins them around before slamming them down into the ground. (Cost: 200 Damage: x2 Cost Speed: 133)

He watched as the shinigami ran away into the distance. "Meh, what a wuss."

With him out of the way he consumed his former comrades. For the moment, he would stay at this place.

(Side note: Running away requires that in the opponents next turn they don't use a move that can catch up to the speed you use.)

A light appeared out of the forest, bright and inviting. One of the lower souls walked towards it, "What is this?" He reached out towards it only to soon find himself within the maw of an angler fish like hollow. It then looked at the other hollow in the vicinity. The name is Lophiodes, remember it in your last moments."

In a null attempt to make Keiji suffer, Azul had left herself widely open for a blast. Mere seconds after, she was falling ungracefully to earth... she felt, and the darkness surrounded her. But... what was that thing in the middle of the darkness?-

Lexi could only look on helplessly as one of the souls was suddenly sucked into a black hole and reappeared as a hollow, bells dangling from its jester-like mask.

What ... the fuck? That's even quicker than the first hollow. What's going on here?

Sure enough, souls all around the area were suddenly becoming hollows. The reiatsu of other shinigami and hollows filled the air as well - Karakura was crowded tonight.

"Kukuku, a hollow, hmm? Don't worry about a thing. You'll be safe in Soul Society within the hour."

Shit ... okay, I didn't see that coming. This hollow really knows what it's doing ... pretty weird, since Azul had no idea what her powers were at all.

The chains had easily twisted themselves around her sword, rendering it immobile, and then hitting her right in the face hard enough to draw a decent amount of blood. Not the best of ways to start out a fight.

On the other hand, it had been pretty stupid to just rush in without any clue of the opponent's abilities. Perhaps it would be smarter if she let it make the next move instead.
