Hi, I'm a relatively new Bleach fan, but I've seen all the episodes twice. :D
I'm a girl, college student (English Literature), and from the US (CA).
My favorite characters are Rukia, Byakuya, Yoruichi, Renji, Yachiru+Kenpachi, Ukitake, Tatsuki, Kaien, and Ishida. It doesn't mean that I don't like all the other characters though, I generally tend to like them a lot too, I just think the list of favorites is long enough already. :p
I also like the various relationships too, not just the romantic ones. For Rukia, I like the love/hate relationship that she and Ichigo have, the childhood friend/brother relationship she has with Renji, the friendship she has with Orihime, the father/daughter relationship she has with both Ukitake and Isshin, the awkward older brother/younger sister relationship she has with Byakuya (so cute!), her sisterly relationships to Ichigo's sisters, her mentor/student relationship with Kaien, and her messed up interactions with Gin. And her Sode no Shirayuki rocks!
For Orihime, I think she gets along best with Ishida (I <3 those episodes where they were together in SS!!), but I wouldn't mind her getting with Ulquiorra either (I wanna see her put a smile on his face, if anyone can do it, it's her! XD). It's hilarious when Chizuru hits on her, and Tatsuki comes to her rescue. And her Shun Shun Rikka are awesome, it's a unique power, and very helpful too. I like Orihime best when she's her bubbly, cheery, rambling self, and I'd hate to see her lose her childish innocence. IMO, if she did, she just wouldn't be Orihime anymore. :o
What drew me to this forum are all the crack theories circulating. I've been known to come up with a few in other fandoms, and it's so much fun reading the ones here. I hope I can contribute to them in the future. :yay
