Topic- What is that makes you want a game REAL badly?

Is it a well written story? Amazing eye-candy? A swift mixture of strategy and action? Or RIVERS OF BLOOD AND GORE!?!?

Since games just have too many different classifications, sample a specific genre and what is it that makes it unique. And the most important thing, which game fits this example the best?

For example:

Action adventure games. These games need a serious amount of ACTION (duh...), but for it to be special, you need variabilty, both in enemies and weapons. A good plot is always apretiated, but not a must.

A great game of this genre, GOD OF WAR 2!! You have a great amount of weapons, which range from the all well known Athena Blades to Spears which throw crystalls, and you can kill the same enemy in more than 5 different ways per enemy

So well, list your favourite characteristics of a game! Be it the plot of an RPG, the action of a FPS or the personal touch of MMORPG's!

Quick, fast and easy controls - Can't beat a game without good controls if it doesn't then whats the point in playing it if you spend half your time pressing all the buttons just to fire a gun or whatever it may be.

No crazy Camera angles - Hate games that send you in a whirl with camera angles theres just no point to it.

A wide range of items to collect or weapons to use - This varies from game to game but if theres no selection then its a bit boring then isn't it.

Long hours of gaming - One of these people who hates short games.

Make it fit the genre - If its an action game i want to see action, if its a puzzle game i want to see some hardcore puzzles. Whatever the genre is it must fit the bill.

It doesnt matter how good the graphics are or well put the story is or anything like that...if Im not in kick ass mode interested for at least 15 min, its a bore. :D

I really like these "sandbox" type games like Crackdown, Saints Row, or MOH Airborne where you can pretty much do anything anytime anywhere. I hate being "led around" in games.

-I like games with a lot of fighting, blood and gore that give you a lot of freedom. (Games like the GTA series, Saints Row and games like that.)
-Wrestling games are fun as well.
-Over 20 hours of gaming.
-Good storyline.
-A lot of things to do even if you finished the game.
-A lot of items to use.
-Getting gold doesn't take forever *cough Guild Wars cough* (you have to farm so much =/)

You'd like the upcoming Wii game, No More Heroes. Action game with free-roaming aspects like GTA, with wrestling moves. The story should be great as well, coming from the genius Suda51 (Killer7!).

Depends what I'm playing. A fighting game has to have a lot of strategy, and a lot of cool combos I can pull off. An action/adventure/rpg game has to have a deep story, usually stunning visuals, and more strategy then hack/slash.

A great story is a must. I'm not a big fan of gore, nor do I really care about how real the game seems (graphics). The part of a game that makes me want it the most is energy. The game has to have a lot of it, its got to move fast, right from the start.

Awesome music is also important, but isn't necessary
