DVD burner question

Im not a big tech guy, so I have a small question. I want to buy a DVD burner, so I can burn games, movies, etc. I own a Dell laptop, so what type of burners would be "compatible" with my laptop? I dont wanna go out and blindly buy something that wont work on my laptop. Much thanks.

i not sure but take your laptop with you to the store and directly ask them maybe...that would be better than me giving u advice in my opinion.

or just goto the store website and look up diferent brands/makes of ur laptop and which dvd dries work for...dell you say...

i dunno if they actually sell dell in the shops, but just take ur laptop to the shop anyway.

For your laptop what you planing on breaking the thing appart. Oh wait external ones. Damn why do i forget that. Most will work with any laptop as long as you got the programs it should work.
